Never before, have I experienced such incompetence. From my first phone call to them to canceling…read moremy reservation a week later when I arrived. I am moving from Tampa to Asheville North Carolina. I called to make a reservation to store my trailer in their trailer lot. My parking space that I reserved was 12 x 40. And I asked the rental agent if I could also store my small 4 x 6 trailer when I bring it up in a few weeks. He said he did not know, but would ask the manager. He said the manager would get back with me later that day or early the next. No one called me back that day or the next, or the next. I called them to get an answer. The female rental agent I spoke to Pulled up my reservation. I again asked if I could park my second small trailer in my large parking space. She told me she needed to check with the manager and would get back with me later that day, or early the next. Again, no reply. I called again on my drive up to make sure I had space for both trailers. They finally confirmed that. Yes I could store the second trailer. I told him I would be arriving the next morning as I was driving all night. She said great. Will see you when you get here. When I arrived, I realized that this storage facility is fully automated. There are no people at this facility. I then called the office again. I told the girl my name she pulled up my reservation and gave me the gate code to get in. So far so good. Then the gate code didn't work. I tried five or six times, it did not work. I called her back, no answer. I called her back again no answer. After three times she finally answered, gave me a new gate code that worked. By the way, I was disconnected three times during that phone conversation, no one called me back, I had to make approximately 10 attempts to reach the girl again. my frustration level was rising. I open the gate and go in. I find that there are no trailer parking spaces, and the exit gate was not opening. I called her back again. She told me she forgot to tell me. Trailer parking is at a different location. Again, my frustration level is growing. I finally get to the lot where my parking space is, and there is a camper in my space, that appears someone is living in. I will be calling the authorities about that situation. I called her back again. She says her computer says the spot is empty. I told her it appears someone is living in this camper. She says "oh yeah we know about that guy" she then says check space number 72. Again someone is in that space. I called back again. She says we're sorry there's nothing we can do but return your money. Do not use ModBox ever complete incompetence.

Tried to notify person in charge however received not ONE response. There was never anyone on sight, even though an office existed. When I called explaining situation; told we don't have anyone on sight & file a claim" with insurance company". I had a climate control unit (paid extra) & took insurance policy up to $2000 in damage. (Which won't cover one box of mold & mildew damaged items). And NEVER received a call from owners or representatives, apologizing for THEIR negligence regarding storage unit! Plus totally ignoring situation I endured while paying $175/month for a "secured, climate controlled unit". It's not only bad management but disgraceful being treated with no response regarding losing up to $50,000 in damaged items. And their slanted contract's are protecting themselves rather than clients. On a personal note; some items were of sentimental family value I can't replace. Therefore DON'T leave valuables to this horribly run company!! They only want your money!!!!
