Smooth and safe drive despite all the construction on the Kennedy and we arrived on time. Driver helped unload and made sure we had everything. They took CC through their phone app with a tap and I got an emailed receipt. I also booked them coming back and told them we needed the same setup. Sal was responsive and made sure the driver was there. Our flight was delayed but the driver was still there. Same charge and great driver with the car seats strapped in by the fire department. They were rock solid.

Taxi rate calculators estimated $7-$9 for the ride, so I expected similar cost. We the called back to confirm a car on the way, they took payment. To my surprise it was $36. A second surprise came when the car picking me up was an Uber. So apparently, they used my $36 to book me an $8 Uber ride. The Uber driver was also surprised.

As part of the effort to get my friend up to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission I had to contact taxi services and find one which could bring my friend from Gurnee up to Milwaukee while meeting my expectations. It was challenging. After a few uncommon conversations with some local taxi services I was getting a little concern. I then found Northern American Taxi. I called Marianna and described my unique situation. She liked the idea of helping a homeless person and we proceeded to arrange the ride for my friend. When my friend arrived at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, he called telling me he had a great ride and good time chatting with Marianna. In addition Marianna also made a nice contribution to PADS, the Chicago area homeless program. During this current time we need special people. Marianna not only provided a great service, she showed heart and honor helping an organization focus on helping the less fortunate.

Three calls to me between 3-5 am. I'm not sure he still works there. My mom said he was talking on his phone the whole time in a rainstorm on the way home. Scared her. So yeah. No more mom pick ups. Old review: I had a 5:45am pick up from Gurnee to O'hare. It was pouring rain, the guy showed up on time was polite and drove safely yet got us there on time. Called on return, the day before for airport pick up. A different guy was assigned to us. He called just as the plane landed at 11pm. We met him in the designated suburban cab area at the airport. He was very nice and got us home safely at a late hour. We had a baby with us but brought our own car seat. I'm not sure if they provide them. This is a small business and the minivans are certainly no limo but for less than $60 (not including tip) - you can't beat them. (Fees depends on where you're going, number of people in the car, etc). You can't hail a suburban cab at the airport - so i suggest you call ahead of time because the city cabs will rip you off. I will definitely use them the next time I need a cab in this area.
