HORRIBLE. We live in the suburbs -- unincorporated Grayslake, so essentially Gurnee. Our friends from the city were visitjng and needed to catch the last metra back to the city at 10:48. To be safe, one of them called this company at 9:45. She spent approximately 5-10 minutes on the phone with dispatch confirming the address/phone number/pick-up time/etc. 5 minutes later she received a call from another number associated with te company confirming the details. This reassured us that this company was a-ok. At 10:20, she decided to confirm that a cab was indeed coming since we had ordered the cab to be there at 10:20. She was told that they had no record of her order and was basically asked to verify that she had ever even placed an order in the first place by giving the dispatcher's name; as this name was never offered to her and her non-aggressive self didn't feel the need to ask for one, she wasn't able to provide one and her order was deemed null. So she decided to call back the number that had CALLED her to verify the order; this (un)pleasant gentleman barked at her that this company "doesn't even serve gurnee" and hung up. So 4 people who had patiently waited 45 minutes for a cab were stuck without one. I, the one writing this review, called back the company to explain my frustration and instead of getting a chance to speak was interrupted with "ma'am ate you gonna listen to me? We only have 3 drivers." Then I got hung up
On.
In summary: maybe you're a small suburban company. But here's some advice:
1) don't take on more work than you can handle
2) don't promise more work than you can take on
3) don't say you can go to zones to which you don't serve
4) learn that as a cab company, time is vital to people. When someone calls in advance to order a cab for a specific time, they need it for that time. If you can't accommodate it, don't pretend to. In this specific case, our friends were trying to get back to their dogs in the city via the last train available; because of this experience, they got stuck with two options -- abandon the animals for the night or pay $100 to catch a ride with a different cab company. read more
