I took the computer to Rick and he suggested a temporary solution that I could use on a flash drive on another machine I have at home. Then, Rick put my computer on the work bench and found the problem and had it fixed within two days. Excellent work all around. He gave me a way to complete all my time sensitive work, and provided a more permanent solution for my computer. The startup and installation was a joke, but they offered an option for self install-we had Internet only-so that part was pretty straightforward. Then... We were without any service for weeks, then months with intermittent service. The equipment for internet was a modem and an access point. The access point provided WiFi but without any encryption! None! The access point had a bandwidth limit of 40Mbps down and 4Mbps up-but we rarely saw the full speed. I worked with their support to connect to my own mesh router via an Ethernet cable. Now we had WiFi that was encrypted and secure. Intermittent but secure. We were able to stream TV-only ever used one at a time-and I usually could work from home. A lot of the intermittent issues are related to the cable wiring in the neighborhood-but I would expect a professional ISP company to debug this and make fixes, right? No they sent a contractor and most times he swapped cables or replaced connectors... So if you ever consider living where BBH has been installed for cable TV / Internet, investigate it further and make sure that the offering is working.
