Huge truck and 5 guys, they had my 2 bed/2 bath apartment loaded into that truck in less than 30 minutes. I think the drive to the new place was longer than the load time. Again, super quick unload and they were all so kind, and very careful with your items. 3 hour minimum so I ended up paying for longer than what they worked, but that is moving company standards, and I've done that with just about every move I've ever done. Unfortunately, this move was the complete opposite. The movers showed up smelly and unprofessional, and they argued with each other the entire time they were in my home. It was uncomfortable to watch, and on top of that, they were clearly milking the clock rather than working efficiently. When my furniture arrived, several pieces were damaged--including an $800 dresser with two legs broken off, leaving it unable to stand. Three lamp shades never made it into my home during unloading, and the company initially denied they were ever part of the move. For a whole week, they ignored my calls and messages about reimbursement, after saying they would get back to me in 24 hours. They only responded once my father got involved, and even then, their offer was insulting: $70 for the three missing lamp shades and $0 for the ruined dresser. I'm extremely disappointed in how drastically their service quality declined. This company is now unprofessional, careless, and unwilling to take responsibility. I regret booking with them again, and I strongly suggest choosing a different moving company if you want your belongings--and peace of mind--protected.

Some renters were moving in next door. I got within 15 feet of my driveway after coming home from work today, but could not get into my driveway due to a huge "All My Sons Moving & Storage" truck blocking the whole street so I could not get into my driveway. The neighbor across the street was blocked so they also could not get into their driveway. Traffic coming down the street from both directions, was having to turn around and go back. School buses could not get through. Even emergency vehicles could not get through. This was the 2nd consecutive afternoons that this happened at the same house. Yesterday, when a different moving company ("Muscle Man") saw that I needed to get through to my driveway, they pushed their ramp back up into their truck, backed the truck up about 6 feet, and I got into my driveway. This afternoon, I asked the All My Sons people to do likewise. They had several feet in which to do this but refused giving me some flimsy excuse that they could not move the ramp. After sitting there probably 20 minutes giving them a chance to clear the street and knowing that blocking a public street is illegal, I called the police. I found it interesting that even though they tried their flimsy excuse with the police officer, but I held out for what is right and somehow, they figured out a way to do the "impossible" by moving that ramp back up into the truck and eventually moving the truck before finishing unloading it. Being a Realtor and a center of influence, I would NEVER use or recommend All My Sons Moving and Storage!!! They certainly screwed it up for themselves. Gabe moved our stereo and opened the lid to remove a vinyl record to prevent it from being scratched; to me, that revealed that they cared. The teams were very patient with my 88-year-old mother as she decided where to put those heavy dressers. They even took the time to relocate some of her furniture. When the move was complete, they tallied up the time and charged us $270.00 less than the original quote. They are setting a new standard in the moving industry. Because our 15-year marriage had been tossed into a 10'x30' storage unit with no way of finding what I needed, I knew sifting through it all to piece together a life after love was going to take a special moving company. Enter Shane at Marigold Movers. I'd already had one glowing recommendation for this company, and after meeting Shane, I understood why. First of all, Shane was perfectly on time, every time. Second, he was so friendly and helpful when doing the "walk-through" to work up my estimate! He probably told me more good things in casual conversation about his company and how they do business than even he realized. This is a man who appreciates his job and his boss! Third, Shane is honest. He's one of those people whose face tells you the truth before he ever utters a word. You just don't have to worry about what he says. On moving day, I made a last-minute change to the location of the first of two pickups, and Shane hadn't gotten the message in time because he's always early--but he rolled with it, saying they wouldn't charge a dime until they started working. This crew was so friendly and fun to work with, and after a couple of hours, they'd gotten to know my needs well enough to predict which boxes needed to come out of the storage unit (always checking with me first). They finished the work ahead of schedule and the cost came in under the estimated amount.
