Northwest Real Estate and Property Management

Northwest Real Estate and Property Management

(28 reviews)

I searched online for a rental property in San Antonio, Texas. I found a house in Alamo Ranch that…read morewas managed by Northwest Real Estate. Although skeptical because of online reviews, I decided to move forward with this home. We did all the paperwork remotely as I was moving from the Southeast. I rented the house unseen, and could only hope that it was in good of condition as what I had seen online. To my surprise, the house was exact to what I had seen online. To add, their online portal is very convenient and easy to use. I rented this home for a duration of two years. In the two years I feel there were some communication issues with the office staff, but nothing that created too much of an inconvenience. During this time I had minimal maintenance issues, and although I disagreed with being asked to pay for a plumbing issue, I obliged. I worked with the plumbing company and the property management to sort out the plumbing related bill that I disagreed with. The property management owner, Copernicus, went above and beyond my expectations to do the right thing, and refunded the paid amount. The older gentleman that came a few times to take pictures of the house was extremely nice. I scheduled to move out of the home, when the home owner decided to sell the home. When the home was placed for sale, Sandra & Laura, communicated the details regarding the showings of the home - they were very pleasant and professional. While I had a few maintenance concerns and a disagreement, overall I was pleased as a tenant. Copernicus in my opinion has acted with integrity and treated me fairly and respectfully. That goes a long way with me. Copernicus, Sandra, and Laura did what they could to find me another home in the area, but unfortunately none of the houses found met the size requirement I needed. I took care of the home as I had agreed to, and upon moving out I received the entirety of my deposit within a couple weeks. I moved to another area, but I would have definitely rented from Northwest Real Estate if a house with my size requirements was available. In the future I would consider utilizing Northwest Real Estate again, whether for a rental or purchasing a home. I would personally recommend them.

This people are not only dishonest and crafty in finding all shady ways to charge you for maintaining their crappy place they rent you. Here name out, this people are professional and licensed cheaters and also day time robbers. One example is that they will take your security deposit money for no or little reason. They detained our security deposit for nothing. It does not matter whether you had a professional cleaners cleaning the place on our exist. These people will use old dirty pictures they had in file to use as a reason for detaining your security deposit. They exactly did that to us. The owner uses his "service" in the Air Force as an enticing mechanism. But he does not represent the good people in service. He has no ethics. It is un American that he uses the good name of our service men to take advantage of unsuspecting honest customers. Run away fast, if you are considering to give them a chance to do business. Marshall Reddick Real Estate

I am writing this review to share my experience with the property management at Marshall Reddick…read morein San Antonio. On a positive note, the team was very responsive prior to move-in, answering phone calls and text messages in a timely manner. Unfortunately, that level of service dropped significantly once I was in the home. Post-move-in communication was exceptionally poor. I often had to call multiple times without receiving a response, despite the company expecting immediate replies whenever they reached out to me. We also experienced recurring issues with the home's water heater, losing hot water on at least three separate occasions. When we submitted maintenance requests, we were advised to turn up the temperature on the unit. While this provided a temporary fix, the underlying issue kept happening. It was only after sending a stern email and copying the property manager that the problem was finally addressed properly. To make matters worse, upon move-out, we were improperly charged a cleaning fee despite having hired professional cleaners and submitting the receipts directly to Joshua Garza. Joshua was unresponsive regarding the charge, and even after CCing Melisa Day, I still received no reply or resolution to this day. The lack of accountability and communication has been extremely frustrating. If you want to avoid a headache, I recommend to NOT lease through this company.

I am a current tenant in the townhomes in converse on green rd and unfortunately, I cannot…read morerecommend renting through Marshall Reddick. From the day we moved in, our experience has been disappointing. We've submitted multiple maintenance requests that have either gone unanswered or been marked as completed without anyone ever coming to our home. One of the most concerning issues is a large hole our neighbor's dog dug under the fence, allowing it access to our backyard. I was told they would "look into it, and call me back" but I never received a follow-up. Despite multiple calls, voicemails, and an online work order, the issue remains unresolved weeks later. We also reported an unbalanced ceiling fan that appears unsafe to use. After waiting over two months, I received a notification stating the repair had been completed, even though no one ever came to inspect or fix it. Communication has been extremely poor. Calls are rarely returned, voicemails go unanswered, and it feels nearly impossible to get a response from maintenance, the tenant coordinator, or Property Manager Melisa Day. Another frustration is that because these are new construction townhomes, tenants are expected to coordinate directly with vendors for certain repairs. That responsibility should fall on property management, not the tenant. To make matters worse, there is a significant gnat infestation. Despite paying for private pest control every two months and purchasing Zevo traps at my own expense, the problem persists. After speaking with several neighbors, I learned this is a community-wide issue. My experience has left me feeling that once the lease is signed, tenant concerns are no longer a priority. If you are considering renting here, I encourage you to carefully research the property before making your decision. ( we are very clean people three of those zevos have been there for 5 days, one I just changed yesterday.)
