Bought a fridge last month, came back today on Boxing Day to purchase a tv. Fantastic crew doing a great job selling factory seconds and carton damage. They now have brand new Samsung stock! Read their reviews, but honestly they have like 20 customers a day and a one every year write something bad. Can't keep everyone happy, but most of the people I speak to have had a great experience with Smart electrical! They've been in the centre for 20 years and there is a reason why they are still around! As they are factory seconds, it is your responsibility to check the items, just do that, if there is more dents then usual, ask for a discount and they will do it for you! Do not recommend... Initial communication and purchase was fine, I have reservations that they provided the best fridge (seconds), anyway, fridge installed and working... until 5 months later it was not. Freezer fan and thermostat in the fridge have failed. After multiple emails (their phone lines do not work) and 10 business days later on a Friday evening, I got a text saying the fridge technician will be there in an hour. He replaced the freezer fan as the fridge app showed this had failed, however due to the app not showing the fridge thermostat failure even though the fridge is warm, and a language barrier, the fridge issue continues. I've emailed again and messaged the fridge technician however he was meant to be here at 3pm and was a no show. Really disappointed and frustrated at the lack of customer care, timeframe and communication. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They claim they sell factory seconds but sell you second hand crap. Bought a Hisense upright fridge (Discontinued factory second LMFAO) When I got it home, I could see it was not right. Marks in the fridge walls. Marks and scratches on the glass shelves and door shelves. The compressor kept on working, did not stop. Temperature went to 3 degrees c. Tried adjusting the thermostat but it went from 3 degrees c to 8 degrees c and nothing inbetween. Contacted them three days later, only to be told it was my fault, that I did not know how to use the thermostat. (WTF??) Asked to return and get a refund. Told outright NO!!! And I was warned they will not tolerate insults. I said nothing for them to say this. It dawned on me later that they have done this to many people for them to say this to me. Told them about Consumer Guarantee Law Section 56 and told me they will be happy to see me in court. Next step, I am contacting Consumer Affairs to get involved. read more

Initial contact was terrific, helpful with the purchase and delivery was on time. Unfortunately they damaged the backing plate on delivery. Poor guys were not told it was up a level. Worked so hard and did the job. Not so worried about the backing plate as it was paper thin but was told we will get another one for you - they are lying the floor at the warehouse. I also noticed the spill tray for the water not supplied. Then another thing, the invoice is for an LG not a Westinghouse. No paperwork or warranty for the fridge in my house. A week in I have place ten calls. Not answered. Emails not responded to either. No such luck. Just totally ignored. Ombudsman here I come and/or ASIC etc. read more

Please, for your own sake, don't buy anything from this store. It's not worth it. Don't be tempted even if you manage to haggle them to a nice lower price, because all it means is they won't respect you at all when your appliance dies not even a month after you bought it, as they've done with me. Called them and asked for a repair for my new fridge, they refused to send anyone out. Asked for a replacement, they said sure - then waited a week to tell me they wouldn't replace it. Thanks guys, all my food had to be thrown out! They told me they knew what the issue with the fridge was (despite never coming out to check it, gotta love those new superpowered technicians) but they simply couldn't get the part any more. I called up the manufacturer outlet and asked if they had that part for my model. Yep, they had it! Great! I can just tell Smart Electrical this and they'll buy it and send someone out, right? Nope! They continued to insist they couldn't repair it, they couldn't get the part, and explicitly told me they "don't want to bother with it". The only option they gave me was a refund or store credit - store credit so I could, you know, buy a smaller fridge for a much higher price from them. How generous! A bonus: through this whole ordeal I kept being told "we'll call you back tomorrow with more information" and then they'd never call me back. I had to always contact them again or else they just wouldn't bother trying to help me. The lower price isn't worth the disrespect, the lies, the terrible customer service, the refusal to even send someone out to find the issue, and the greedy decision to try and force me to buy a worse fridge instead of helping. I regret buying from them and don't want you to make the same mistake I did. Treat yourself to a more expensive fridge from somewhere else - no one deserves to be treated like this after spending almost $1000. read more

If you're looking for a fridge, a freezer, a plasma screen... you may want to check out the prices here. They have factory extras and the appliances are in pretty good condition if not brand new out of the box with the plastic. They had 52 inch LG plasma screen televisions for under $$1600 last Christmas and they have awesome 2 door fridges for under $2000 as well. All LG. They also have bar fridges and freezers, washing machines and dryers. Most of the stuff is LG, and sometimes I wonder where they actually got it from, but they keep telling me from their long list of suppliers it's all good. So pick up a deal here... but the guys here may not speak the best english or may not be in a position to bargain all that much. read more

This place does not make for an exciting shopping experience. As it is an outlet store for predominately LG appliances, you won't find the bells and whistles here. Browsing in here makes me feel anxious. With all the open space, extremely wide store entrance, it's like being in a fish bowl where everyone outside can see you in there. Not like I care, it is just that the atmosphere hardly works in their favour. Still, in here, there are great bargains to be found! So if you needed a good price on a decent appliances, this place is worth a visit. All in all though, this place is more oh hum hum, than oh la la! read more
