It was really hot today in Bullhead City, Az today. Decided to visit Smart & Final to seek out some icy product to hydrate myself. Bought a few cold items and Italian "hot" sausages. This store is 100% about false advertising of lower prices than products actually cost at the check out stand. They are major price gougers with prices higher than the local grocery stores. Their digital coupons are impossibly tiny and often not fully visible on the shelves. Go elsewhere or be cheated. False advertising is not cool! read more

I never wanted to go here because if it's name, I thought it was low-grade because the name sounds like they are quick sale food that's about to expire. You go in there and they have so much amazing produce that you are blown away and overwhelmed. Some of the other areas are not that big with products. The prices are decent compared to some other stores and they have some things that the other stores totally don't have. I found out that it's created by two men called smart and final now what are the chances that people with those names get together to create a store? This might be the last time I ever go to S&F for vegetables, I saw the same lady working in the produce section and she saw me looking at the zucchini and picking one up and putting it back and saw me taking a picture of the zucchini and cucumbers, and by the way they're not even as bad as they were the last time her and I had the last talk about the zucchini's. read more

Well, Safeway and Smith's SUCK OUT LOUD. I shop OCCASIONALLY @ S&F, for sale items- their EVERYDAY prices are VERY high at this store. But I go for the Sourdough, and their produce is good. Went there @ 9 AM- store was JAMMED! LINES! NOT ENOUGH CASHIERS! I abandoned my cart, YOU fuggers can re-stock my abandoned shidd when you find it...tomorrow! RETURNED TO STORE @ 8:15 PM- SAME DEAL! LOOOOONG LINES, and just ONE FUGGING CHECKER! WHY DO THESE FUGGING STORES IN BHC NEVER HAVE ENOUGH CHECKERS? All the other stores want you to do self-pay, but then they shut most of the self check lanes down! WHAT THE FUGG? Just some kudos to Smart and final. Bought some groceries. Cart filled up. I paid. Damn, I forgot an item. Set my cart at the door. Came back 1 minute later and cart gone. Huh ? Told manager. Manager went and looked at the video tapes. Yep, a large woman in a yellow dress (you know who you are) saw me run back in, then snagged my cart. It was still in the store past the check out. After checking on the tapes amd seeing all that happened on them. The manger took my receipt, grabbed a cart. Filled it with all the items on the receipt. Wow, I think it was my responsibility as well and wanted to pay at least for some of it. She would have none of my money and said "have a better day ". Well, that made my day !! read more

I just want to say thank you to Smart & Final. I went a purchased like 5 Tru Moo chocolate milk and 4 gallons of white milk. Had all but 2 things packed in my go green cooler, grandson didn't get it packed into vehicle he left it on the side of vehicle & another. Didn't realize it until we got all the way home. I was so pissed headed back called Store told them situation to see if anyone turned in bag with milk said no one's turned in anything. Pretty good stop at Smart and Final yesterday! I definitely see why they added the 'extra' - the store is so much bigger than I remember it! Good produce selection, snacks for days, and I was entertained looking at all their coffees and syrups. My nana picked up some lettuce and tostadas. I've always wanted to have a collection of Torani syrups - maybe one day! I hope to visit again soon with more time because it seemed like there was a lot to see. read more

"Above and Beyond" I was recently shopping at the Smart and Final store in Bullhead City (I live in Laughlin) and have to comment on their staff. I was helped by a clerk named Kane who, when I asked about a meat cut they had went well above and beyond to see I got what I came for. I was looking through the meat section and couldn't find the cuts I was after. Kane was walking by and asked if I was finding everything I was looking for. I told him I wasn't and asked for help. He stopped what he was doing and went back into the meat cooler, and came out with the meat I was looking for. Turns out he doesn't even work in that department and was doing something unrelated and just happened by. It took him a few minutes to find and bring me the meat I was after, but he stayed with it until I got what I came for. Later when I checked out at the register, Kane was working it and asked me again if I had found everything I was after, and also made sure I received a Senior discount on it. I left with a smile and will definitely shop there again. Excellent employees they have. Thanks again Kane! read more

Is it policy to announce out loud in front of other customers how there paying? Do u shout out credit card, debit card as you do shouting ebt cash in front of other customers? How a person pays is no one's business to be announced. Some very good deals can be found! Good, unique variety of products. Not everything is less than what you'd pay at local stores. We purchased Glade air freshener for 99 cents, Rice-A-Roni assorted flavors for $1, Danimals Yogurt in strawberry/kiwi for $3-ish, chocolate-covered berries are the cheapest around, and Hi-Chew taffy is cheapest & best selection. Also saw ICE drinks for 89 cents, the lowest price around. One negative.... the pack of blueberries we picked up did have mold. Store is clean, and carts are new. Employees are friendly. read more

Went into this store on a whim during the holiday season without any expectations. Wow! Was I happily surprised!?!? The produce section is large and packed with plenty of fresh fruits and veggies at reasonable prices. I bought organic Chiquita bananas for .69 a pound and Granny Smith apples in a bag for $2. The aisles and shelves are filled with a large variety of products that you rarely see in your chain stores. I bought a couple of packages of Pizzelle cookies as a special treat and some cheese. The cookies were so good, we went back a few days later for some more and I did a more complete check of some of the other aisles. A large package of beef tamales from the frozen section was our prize on this trip. Cooked up in my Instant Pot, they were almost as good as my homemade ones. Finally, as noted by a few other reviewers, you do have to know your prices to find the best deals. Also, it wouldn't be fair to not take notice of the friendly staff that I spoke with during my visits. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. One woman even went out of her way to help me find the ziploc bags as she noted my limp. We'll definitely be back!! read more
