He's a dog whisperer haha :) The surroundings and facilities are great and we came by a week before-hand to have a look around and get Jill familiarised. Very professional. Mark sent daily videos and updates of Jill and you could tell that she was a very happy dog there. I can definitely recommend Mark and Dawgy Hotel and Daycare. Satch loves both Mark and Issi and he always comes home happy and exhausted after spending the day at Dawgy Walks and Daycare. Mark and Issi are flexible and accommodating and its an added bonus that I can keep up to date with Satch's day via their social media platforms. Mark and Issi are both down to earth and extremely professional. I would feel comfortable leaving Satch with them while I was away and I know that I could trust them with a key to my home. I would not hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone, they are honest, reliable, and great with the dogs.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but what I encountered was far worse than I imagined. Two days before the booking, I discovered that their system had only registered one dog, which I put down to their poorly designed website. When I made the booking, I clearly entered the pick-up time as 5.30pm. I also spoke to multiple staff members in the week leading up to the stay, and not once did anyone mention this would be an issue. Yet when I arrived to check them in, the staff member was incredibly rude. She blamed me for the pricing error and threatened that she would not admit my dogs without a confirmed pick-up time on Sunday -- otherwise I'd have to pay for another night. I told her I couldn't provide a time until we had changed our flights home, and made it clear that I wasn't paying them any more money. After a heated back-and-forth, we agreed I would email the pick-up time once confirmed. I sent it through late Friday night, yet I still received a phone call asking when the dogs were being collected. On top of that, the staff member refused to let my dogs have the blanket I had brought with me that had my scent on it to comfort them. This was especially upsetting as their website states this is allowed, and I had been reassured of the same by another staff member on the phone just two days earlier. To make matters worse, when I returned home, one of my dogs (who never gets sick) developed a chest infection, leaving me with $600 in vet bills. I called to let them know, but they didn't even bother to follow up and check on her. The whole experience was stressful, upsetting, and unprofessional. Never again and I would not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their pets.

Two years later I decided to give Hanrob another chance given vets supposedly recommend them and the pick up and drop off is convenient for me as I'm very busy with work. I had advised Hanrob that my dog had skin allergies and required certain food for sensitive skin. They said they would feed him their brand of sensitive skin food and if he reacted badly to that they would buy the usual Royal Canin Anallergenic food I feed him. Rocky came back today stinking terribly and on inspection has a severely infected skin rash covered in pus under his chin which he didn't have before Hanrob picked him up for boarding. Hanrob clearly neglected their duty in looking after my dog and I am extremely unhappy with them. I will never be using their services again!

This place is understaffed…read more The manager is rude. She told me that she didn't return my calls because she was dealing with a miscarriage, or an abortion, or something of that nature. When we picked our dogs up, one had massive bites on both sides of her face. The vet said they had occurred about a week prior. I have worked at kennels. Staff should have seen this problem. Unless there is a lack of staff, in which case they have no time to notice. I would recommend that you do not kennel your dogs here.

The level of organisation is top notch, and I can see from their interaction with both my dogs, and others, that there is a genuine love of animals from the team. I noticed how my two- and Ridgebacks can be naturally cautious- would happily run up to team members when it came time to pick them up. And dogs never lie. The option to have a very large, safe and private enclosure is a huge benefit, especially for larger breeds. Will be re-booking soon.

Not only are these excellent custom built facilities...everybody there will love your dog and cat and couldn't be treated better. They are highly professional in all they do. The kennels are scrupulously clean. Regular individual exercise - and where appropriate supervised play dates with other 'friends'. They really care and it is a lovely service. When picking up the dogs they are always washed and groomed and smelling lovely. The dogs view Paws Awhile like going and staying with family. Even if your dog or cat is ill during their stay they will be looked after as well as you would. When our beautiful Bodie died recently Lynette and everybody shared in our tears.
