This is a quaint little cupcake shop. Has a bunch of different flavors. Like carrot cake, maple bacon (with real bacon on top), a puppy cup cake for doggies (they are carrot cake with limited sugar and a dog treat on top). They had a few different flavors that were all seemingly good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The store was clean and well decorated. When I arrived it took a few minutes to get assisted and I was the only one there. I would for sure come back though. read more

Their cupcakes are delicious. My favorite has to be the carrot cake and my husband can't get enough of the maple bacon cup cake.

I have only been to one other Smallcakes before and I didn't realize they were the same bakery. This one is so much cuter and cleaner and cozier. The interior of this Smallcakes is 5 stars. It has nice touches including free birthday candles. It feels so much more upscale than the other Smallcakes I visited. I appreciate the cupcakes here because the flavors are simple and I'm a purist when it comes to cupcakes. Just give me simple flavors, no crazy toppings please, and Smallcakes delivers. The cake itself is very tasty. I could personally do with less icing on my cupcakes than what they do here and ended up scraping almost all of it off. My boyfriend (who surprised me and went with the pink chocolate cupcake...he's cute) ate more of his frosting than I did, but eventually had to say uncle and eat just the cake. If you have a serious sweet tooth, than you'll be in Heaven. If not, like us, you might want to just go ahead and cute the frosting by at least half from the beginning. What we threw away in frosting alone felt like at least a pound...yikes! Otherwise, when it comes to a sweet treat, this is a great go to place. And compared to the other popular cupcake chain, I find this one to taste more homemade. read more

Bought a birthday cake in advance, with high expectations judging by the reviews of this bakery. Unfortunately for me, my experience was "unpleasant" to say the least. I picked up the cake at 1:59pm (I have a time-stamped picture as proof). By the time I got home the icing had melted off and multiple chunks were sliding off the cake. My biggest concern with this, besides the product; was the customer service!! I called to resolve the issue and no one seems to want to help. I placed the call at 2:14pm. That's only 15 minutes after I left the store and I am being told that it's my fault and that there's no refunds!!??? It is now 2:55pm and I'm headed back to the store with the product. Hopefully we can find a resolution because as of now, they have made, what is supposed to be a happy and joyful moment, become extremely stressful and ungracious for no good reason. read more

I swear Valdosta has changed so much since I've lived here! I was in town visiting family and friends and on my birthday I wanted cupcakes. My friends suggested Smallcakes and I'm glad they did! We had the S'mores, "Famous" Red Velvet & Lemon Drop cupcakes. My friends loved their cupcakes. I ordered the S'mores cupcake and was very pleased. The cake was moist and the icing was flavorful. I also loved how they include icing in the middle of the cake - it gives it a nice touch. For my first time at Smallcakes, I was very pleased. Just cause it's been on tv don't mean it's good. I went in with such hopes and dreams! I was just passing by the area and really had a sweet craving. Then I caught site of this place and danced on over. As I was walking in on the front they have a couple of references to shows they've been on like the View and others. Well, I gotta say whoever featured these on tv don't know much about good cakes or cupcakes. I got a strawberry cupcake and a brownie pop. As the girl was charging for them, I started eating the pop, my excitement quickly turned into disgust. I even told the girl at the counter this tasted terrible, it tasted like old bread and box. She just looked at me and shrugged. I thought about giving her the cupcake back and just paying for the pop since I had already started eating it. Silly me to think that maybe the cupcake would be any better. Got in the car, with still some excitement hoping that the pop was just their way to save old cake. I didn't know they could ruin a strawberry cake so badly. I guess if you take a cake box, whip it up with an extra pound of sugar, throw in some fake strawberry flavoring and put a fancy looking buttercream on it you can charge $3.50 for it and take it on tv. These guys need to go taste some real good cakes and cupcakes like SweetByHolly and Mishas cupcakes. Sorry Valdosta you have to take this as "cupcakes". My husband has been talking about this place for a while. I finally decided to go with him and was not disappointed. The cupcake was so airy and light. The frosting was not heavy and really creamy. They have different flavors on different days so if you do have a favorite look online and they will show you what is baking. We had to wait this week till Wednesday because the girls wanted the Wedding Cake ones. Not gonna lie they were tasty.
