I have only been to one other Smallcakes before and I didn't realize they were the same bakery. This one is so much cuter and cleaner and cozier. The interior of this Smallcakes is 5 stars. It has nice touches including free birthday candles. It feels so much more upscale than the other Smallcakes I visited. I appreciate the cupcakes here because the flavors are simple and I'm a purist when it comes to cupcakes. Just give me simple flavors, no crazy toppings please, and Smallcakes delivers. The cake itself is very tasty. I could personally do with less icing on my cupcakes than what they do here and ended up scraping almost all of it off. My boyfriend (who surprised me and went with the pink chocolate cupcake...he's cute) ate more of his frosting than I did, but eventually had to say uncle and eat just the cake. If you have a serious sweet tooth, than you'll be in Heaven. If not, like us, you might want to just go ahead and cute the frosting by at least half from the beginning. What we threw away in frosting alone felt like at least a pound...yikes! Otherwise, when it comes to a sweet treat, this is a great go to place. And compared to the other popular cupcake chain, I find this one to taste more homemade. read more

Smallcakes: A Cupcakery - Bakeries Near Me - Valdosta, Georgia

The presentation of the store and the cupcakes were adorable. The cupcakes didn't taste like good quality though, but more like store bought cupcakes. I was expecting quality, creamy frosting for how expensive the cupcakes were (as I've had at other bakeries), but it was met with a frosting that tasted like the pillsbury cans of frosting you can get at the store. Not great. Tasted cheap. Girl at the front wasn't nice either. read more

Wonderful sweet and Visually stimulating. These cupcakes set the standard for any bakery who would dare to create such goodness for public consumption. These cupcakes were so delicious. I would suggest that you try them. They may seem a bit, but it is well worth it! You get what you pay for. read more

This is a quaint little cupcake shop. Has a bunch of different flavors. Like carrot cake, maple bacon (with real bacon on top), a puppy cup cake for doggies (they are carrot cake with limited sugar and a dog treat on top). They had a few different flavors that were all seemingly good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The store was clean and well decorated. When I arrived it took a few minutes to get assisted and I was the only one there. I would for sure come back though. read more

Smallcakes: A Cupcakery - Dozen cupcakes - Bakeries Near Me - Valdosta, Georgia

The cupcakes were very pretty, well decorated. The cake of the cupcake tasted good, nothing special; tasted like something I can make at home from the box. The icing was also nothing special, tasted store bought, and was wayyyyy too sweet. Had to wipe it off. The cupcakes were also pretty big. Overall wouldn't recommend, sadly. I wanted to like this place. read more

I just love this place. I visit Georgia several times a year & I make it a point to stop here every time. It's a charming place with delectable sweets. Today we chose half a dozen. Two Cannoli, wedding cake, lemon, chocolate cream & vanilla/chocolate. I've never been disappointed with any flavor. It's always a pleasure to frequent this establishment. read more

Love the M&M brownies, and red velvet cupcakes. Pick up here often for my office outings, etc.

This is hands down one of my favorite places it's such a guilty pleasure. I was skeptical at first because they have the cupcakes sitting out and I feared that they would be dry but they were not dry at all. These cupcakes were absolutely delicious and moist, not too mention the great customer service! If you live in the Valdosta area, you should definitely check them out!! read more

Smallcakes: A Cupcakery - Strawberry Cheesecake, Unicorn, Maple Bacon, Pink Buttercream - Bakeries Near Me - Valdosta, Georgia

Bought a birthday cake in advance, with high expectations judging by the reviews of this bakery. Unfortunately for me, my experience was "unpleasant" to say the least. I picked up the cake at 1:59pm (I have a time-stamped picture as proof). By the time I got home the icing had melted off and multiple chunks were sliding off the cake. My biggest concern with this, besides the product; was the customer service!! I called to resolve the issue and no one seems to want to help. I placed the call at 2:14pm. That's only 15 minutes after I left the store and I am being told that it's my fault and that there's no refunds!!??? It is now 2:55pm and I'm headed back to the store with the product. Hopefully we can find a resolution because as of now, they have made, what is supposed to be a happy and joyful moment, become extremely stressful and ungracious for no good reason. read more

DELICIOUS. Small, cute, kid-friendly cupcake store. They have different cupcakes each day of the week, but there's a good variety of cupcakes to choose from on any day. They even make special flavors - there was even a Samoa flavor when I went in! I also tried the red velvet - best red velevet cupcake I've ever had. Fantastic! read more

I don't know where these Debbie Downers reviewing on here get their cupcakes from. (Heaven's Bakery apparently) but to say these are mediocre desserts is a huge understatement. Too much frosting? No such thing. Chocolate or vanilla cake batter? Uh yeah I'll eat it. The only complaint I have is that I'm in public and have to order in moderation, or else pretend I have guests at home who also want one so no one thinks I'm about to kill 3 cupcakes in a row. Awesome place keep it up! read more

A little pricey but the cupcakes are great! The person bakes them herself and they each turn out like the ones you'd see in a magazine. The place is also well taken care of and really cute. Its a great place to take your girls for cupcakes and coffee, or your kids to grab some sweets! read more

Nothing special about this place...way too much frosting and the cupcakes sit out in the open. Flavors - boring! The only difference is the frosting --- the entire pound of it on a tiny cake. read more

I swear Valdosta has changed so much since I've lived here! I was in town visiting family and friends and on my birthday I wanted cupcakes. My friends suggested Smallcakes and I'm glad they did! We had the S'mores, "Famous" Red Velvet & Lemon Drop cupcakes. My friends loved their cupcakes. I ordered the S'mores cupcake and was very pleased. The cake was moist and the icing was flavorful. I also loved how they include icing in the middle of the cake - it gives it a nice touch. For my first time at Smallcakes, I was very pleased. There was a great atmosphere, friendly staff and awesome cupcakes! I look forward to visiting again when I'm back in the area~! read more

Just cause it's been on tv don't mean it's good. I went in with such hopes and dreams! I was just passing by the area and really had a sweet craving. Then I caught site of this place and danced on over. As I was walking in on the front they have a couple of references to shows they've been on like the View and others. Well, I gotta say whoever featured these on tv don't know much about good cakes or cupcakes. I got a strawberry cupcake and a brownie pop. As the girl was charging for them, I started eating the pop, my excitement quickly turned into disgust. I even told the girl at the counter this tasted terrible, it tasted like old bread and box. She just looked at me and shrugged. I thought about giving her the cupcake back and just paying for the pop since I had already started eating it. Silly me to think that maybe the cupcake would be any better. Got in the car, with still some excitement hoping that the pop was just their way to save old cake. I didn't know they could ruin a strawberry cake so badly. I guess if you take a cake box, whip it up with an extra pound of sugar, throw in some fake strawberry flavoring and put a fancy looking buttercream on it you can charge $3.50 for it and take it on tv. These guys need to go taste some real good cakes and cupcakes like SweetByHolly and Mishas cupcakes. Sorry Valdosta you have to take this as "cupcakes". I say go to the store, buy a box of whatever cake you like and I'm pretty sure it will be better than what these guys have read more

Smallcakes: A Cupcakery - If you want to know what the cakes taste like just bite into the box for 1 flavor and add sugar for the other flavor - Bakeries Near Me - Valdosta, Georgia

Bought a birthday cake here because it's suppose to be the best in town. It was ok. But it definitely wasn't $70 good. $70 for a 10inch birthday cake. Not even a customized cake. Just a plain chocolate cake that they make everyday. Nothing special about it. The frosting wasn't great. Didn't really even taste like chocolate. The cake was moist but again, not worth $70. read more

The cupcakes were okay, still better with a box at that level though. You may still be better off across the street at Publix (really though, go to the one that looks crappier across town, they typically have more selection). Only went in once for a box of 4 cupcakes and surely did not give them my email address, yet they spam me all the time now. Go away, Cupcakery. I'm only writing the negative review for the stolen personal information you used. Kind of like a hot chick, your product just needs to be way better to get away with crap like that... read more

You want to please the ladies at ADC, show up with a dozen Small Cakes!! They are pricey to me but my staff LOVES em. All flavors. They have different flavors on different days so if you do have a favorite look online and they will show you what is baking. We had to wait this week till Wednesday because the girls wanted the Wedding Cake ones. Not gonna lie they were tasty. The strangest was the bacon maple syrup - OMG it was just like the best French toast you have ever had in your life but better because it had icing :) a few were hesitant on that one because of bacon sticking out of the top until they tried it - and it was delish! Try them all - we have :) read more

Really tasty little deserts. A little pricey but that's what you deal with for "gourmet" styled places. I was happy with the wait staff and they were pleasant and helpful. It's a nice once in a while treat but definitely not something to take the place of doughnuts at work because of the pricing. Only downside is each time I go in the selection is really limited. It seems like they do a "run" of cakes for the day and by 10-11am they have been picked over. Other than that it's an alright place. read more

My husband has been talking about this place for a while. I finally decided to go with him and was not disappointed. The cupcake was so airy and light. The frosting was not heavy and really creamy. I got a vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting and my husband got something with chocolate on chocolate . I will definitely come back for more. I think I will try the mini sample pack next time read more

The cake batter available is either chocolate or vanilla. The frosting is the only difference and the service is not great. $3.00 for a mediocre cupcake is overpriced. read more
