I've witnessed her arguing with several parents on different occasions in her front office or at parent meetings. She feels her word of mouth communication style is best for safety of children, but they are understaffed and Tanya is very unprofessional with the way she speaks to parents. My son was illegally unenrolled without notice the next day after a sour conversation where I was disrespected and condescended by Tanya Davis for asking legitimate concerns about the location of an after school event and receiving or not receiving proper notice for the event and location. She stated this was not a good fit for us and because I was talking about her behind her back with another parent was the reason my son was being kicked out. The parents here should talk to each other to see what's going on. The teachers are great, but the updates are received too late in the day usually only for meals. Do not send your children here if you do not want a good look into their day and want to receive a negative attitude from the director at drop off and dismissal.

This is a great start for kids and I am so happy and blessed all of the teachers are in our life.

My son has been attending the Goddard School in Concord for almost 18 months -- he started when he…read morewas just 6 months old in the Infant One room (they have 3 infant rooms based on age and development milestones) and he is now in the Toddler One room! I cannot believe how fast time goes by! I can honestly say that we think of "school" as an extension of our family -- my husband and I could not be more pleased with our son's development, the care/love he receives on a daily basis and with the administration of the school. All of his teachers have been loving, nurturing and VERY accommodating to all of us. They truly address all of his needs (and our needs as parents) with a unique approach -- they get that HE is OUR world and we appreciate that! Class sizes are smaller than other daycares that we visited and considered; which is really important to us, as it allows the children to have as much focused time as possible and allows the staff to really get to know each child. Their curriculum is constantly changing and we are always amazed at the things that our son learns and shares with us -- he had learned sign language several months ago and we needed to learn it as well to keep up with him and communicate! Any concerns or questions that we have ever had have always been addressed and acknowledged -- we are first time parents and have LOTS of questions all the time! We've also had some unique needs and requests from diet to diaper changes, and they have always honored and supported us without question. Additionally, there are a ton of activities that you can choose to enroll your child in, through Goddard -- like soccer and gymnastics. Being a working mom/dad, it is important to us that our son gets this exposure and it is so nice that he can get this during the day while at school vs. trying to rush in the evenings and weekends to squeeze it all in. These activities are at an additional nominal cost, that is well worth it to us. We could not be more pleased with our decision to enroll him at the Concord location (when I was just 12 weeks pregnant!) and plan on keeping our son at Goddard to continue his education until he is ready for 1st grade. The entire staff and owner of the school are amazing, and I would highly recommend that you consider the Concord Goddard School and that you enroll your child here!

Class sizes are 16:1 which is what my kids needed.

As a parent of a child with special needs, do not send your child here. The process for the IEP is…read moreslow and inefficient. It took more than half of the school year for them to complete the initial process. I requested my child's IEP before school started and they didn't even start the process until November 2024 when break happened. Then they didn't even start observations until January 2025. Afterwards, during the mid end of the year they stopped some interventions (February - March 2025), and when I noted concerns they said they would start them again, which I believe is illegal for them to do without proper procedures. Also, one day, I came to the school to pick up my child, and there was a child with special needs (autism) sitting on the sidewalk near the busy street. I got the child to come back inside of the building, when we came I went to the assistant principal and the school didn't even know that the child was out there. The assistant principal didn't even seem as concerned. She asked the girl why was she out there like it was the girls fault. How is that even possible. The teachers do not have proper educational materials to give the children. My child would receive hand written worksheets that were copied, and some of the information would be cut off. Then they would say they would have homework, but it would be something that a younger student could do and not grade appropriate. I feel like my child deteriorated education wise since being at TIS. I do not believe the new principal and assistant principal are suited to run the school. They need more experience in management, educational rules, and procedures. They come across as caring of a child's need, but in reality they don't have enough skills to handle the positions. The discipline procedures are bias, and not fairly administered. Also, the school is not proactive in planning for school events. Often times events would be canceled or delayed, due to lack of planning and preparation. I mean, overall, the school concept is great, but the administration including the CEO/Board are concerned about the business more than a great education. This is probably why the other school closed down and merged with TIS east.

No Cameras, No Accountability…read more My child was enrolled in the Newborn room at Heights One World from April 2021-January 2022. During that span of time, we picked him up to discover two serious injuries that were not disclosed to us by an incident report or phone call. The first incident was a dislocated left elbow which took place in June when he was only 7 months old. There was no explanation as to how or when it happened, but it was clear that our child was distraught and completely not using one arm until we got it x-rayed and a doctor popped his elbow back into place. This type of injury is not uncommon, but it is caused by being picked up inappropriately by the arms instead of the armpits. We were told by the teachers and administrators that our child would be safe there and that additional care would be provided to ensure that nothing like that would happen again. Looking back, we deeply regret not withdrawing him at that point because the second incident was significantly worse. In January, when our son was 14 months old, we arrived at the daycare and could hear him crying in a very painful, unusual way. We had never seen him like this before. When we asked about what happened, we were told that the crying started after one floating teacher/aide was left alone with him to change his diaper. This person was also present/in the room when the first incident happened. After taking him to the doctor and getting him x-rayed, we discovered that his right arm was fractured. We were not only concerned for our child's safety, but the safety of other children. We contacted the police to file a report and then contacted the daycare administrators to provide a written record of the information that we knew thus far. We had so many unanswered questions and requested a meeting. Their response, prior to learning about law enforcement being contacted, was essentially that if there is no incident report then there was no incident however, they would meet with us. They claimed to have interviewed with the teachers in the Newborn room and the information had changed from what was said to us the day we picked him up and what was said to us via text messages, to now a new story that protected the daycare staff from being implicated. Instead of showing concern for our child's wellbeing, they were incredibly defensive. Then, after the investigation began, the administrators contacted us again to say that they would no longer be interested in a meeting or resolution with us. That kind of behavior would be shocking and disturbing to any parent. It reinforced the need for us to trust our gut as we did to get the authorities involved. Our son was put in a cast for two weeks (as shown in the photo) and upon getting it removed, struggled to begin crawling again. He continues to have a trauma response anytime he is up on a traditional changing table because that is most likely how/where he fell and broke his arm. I truly appreciate how quickly the local police department, state licensing agency, and CPS responded to this case. We knew that without cameras in the facility or employees that are willing to tell the truth, it would be hard to get answers. The person directly responsible for causing harm to our child has not come forward, but the case is still open. If you have any information that could be relevant to this case, please reach out to us. I continue to look back on the experience and just wish it didn't have to come to this. If they had cameras installed after the first incident, this could have been avoided. Still to this day, they do not have cameras which says a lot about how seriously they're taking these claims and striving to do better. Be better! For the safety of our kids. While I feel sadness and empathy for how truthful this review is, it is not done with ill will or malice. Parents that are looking for a safe place for their children are looking for honesty in order to have an informed opinion. I hope that this can serve as an understanding of our experience at this daycare.
