Cleveland Montessori stays true to the Montessori method outlined by Dr. Montessori, and in these turbulent times, especially in the public education and curriculum space, it is comforting to know that my daughter is learning from the time-tested materials. The other thing that is important to me about raising children in our culture is that the school is screen-free. The children have a warm, analog space to love to learn for a lifetime. Lastly, it has to be noted that the school is housed in a century-old building with character, nestled in historic Little Italy blocks away from University Circle, and they walk (in all weather) to a fabulous playground in the neighborhood! All in all, a very, very good choice for building an amazing foundation for life.

Mrs. Kali is one of my favorites she is understanding, caring and she started out as a teacher. All three of my children attended Kindercare at an early age. The teachers I encounter really cared about my children. Most of the teachers that are there has been for some years. Kindercare is very clean and organized. I also enjoy that they send you pictures of your children throughout the day and a daily recap of activities including what they are eating and times they went potty and for the baby room the time they have been changed. My son was taught how to read in Pre K from a teacher that believed in him and to this day he is one of the best readers in his classroom. She made sure we was on top of his education at home too. Mrs. Tenisha is so patience and kind. My son loves her! Mrs Bennie has been with Kindercare for a while. I met her while at another location and she treated my son like her own especially when he was just starting daycare.

The Administrators were easy to work with and the staff is not only well-educated, but CARING! We have three children, our youngest has spent his entire life attending Choice from the infant room all the way to the PreSchool room (where he is currently enrolled). What I love the most about Choice is MORE than just it's amazing location (easy on and off the highway) but how accommodating the school has been to our growing family and our changing scheduling needs. We have since left Madison and while we could have easily selected a new PreSchool in our new town, we opted to keep our youngest attending Choice for his PreSchool career. He asks for the administrator BY NAME to join him in playtime each day. That says something about the care he receives there. If you're looking for a childcare center that will LOVE and teach your child like only family can; than Choice Childcare is the CHOICE for you. It certainly is for us and for every one we know!

My daughter, who is in elementary school now, spent all but her first year of daycare there. My son is currently enrolled and has been since he was a baby. I only experience with one other daycare facility. It was part of a pricey chain and everything was crisp and clean. It was much more of a business than a homey environment for a child to spend the majority of their week in. Heights One World was a breath of fresh air, and I am grateful that we found them every day. My son still has at least two years left there before going to kindergarten and I am already feeling sad that our time is coming to an end. cannot say enough things about them, but here are a few. The administration & Teachers: You couldn't ask for better people to be running it. Jennifer (Admin) and Laurie (owner) are the most flexible and kind people. My kids have always gone four days a week and any time I ever needed to add an extra day they ALWAYS made it work. Swapping a day was never a problem. They have standard options, but are extremely flexible. From what I have seen, they have never turned a request down for a different schedule, or not done everything they can to help parents meet the needs of busy schedules. They have honored every request for individualized care, heard every complaint and concern, and taken action. When COVID hit they took a lot of precautions to stay open, and avoided outbreaks for the first 1.5 years. My kids never felt the full impact of COVID because they went to their second home everyday and continued to play outside and be with their friends. When the class of pre-k kids were nearing the end of their time there, they spoke to the parents and added a Kindergarten class for those kids so that they wouldn't have to have their first year of real school be experienced virtually. I will be forever grateful for this. My daughter and family wouldn't have survived virtual kindergarten. Not only did they add a Kindergarten class (which is no small feat), they did it amazingly. It was such a wonderful year and my daughter is thriving in first grade. My daughter's birthday is yet another example of their flexibility and affection for their families. They allowed me to host her party in their outdoor space and were so accommodating about it (and did not charge a dime). It was the least stressful kids party ever, and everyone had the best time. Lori and Rich were there the whole time and Rich got the hose out for the kids and did all kinds of fun stuff for them. As far as learning and curriculum goes, they also get 5 stars from me. They do amazing art projects, and really teach the kids about many different countries, cultures, and religions. They have many food days that includes cooking and eating the food from the cultures they are studying. The kids get to learn by doing and help cook the meals in various, age appropriate ways. I understand that everyone has different experiences, but I think anyone would be lucky to part of the family there. I have had one or two experiences that I took issue with there, but both times they listened and did what I asked them to do, and have never made me feel bad for asking. So all in all, I obviously am grateful for these people, and HIGHLY recommend them as childcare providers

No Cameras, No Accountability…read more My child was enrolled in the Newborn room at Heights One World from April 2021-January 2022. During that span of time, we picked him up to discover two serious injuries that were not disclosed to us by an incident report or phone call. The first incident was a dislocated left elbow which took place in June when he was only 7 months old. There was no explanation as to how or when it happened, but it was clear that our child was distraught and completely not using one arm until we got it x-rayed and a doctor popped his elbow back into place. This type of injury is not uncommon, but it is caused by being picked up inappropriately by the arms instead of the armpits. We were told by the teachers and administrators that our child would be safe there and that additional care would be provided to ensure that nothing like that would happen again. Looking back, we deeply regret not withdrawing him at that point because the second incident was significantly worse. In January, when our son was 14 months old, we arrived at the daycare and could hear him crying in a very painful, unusual way. We had never seen him like this before. When we asked about what happened, we were told that the crying started after one floating teacher/aide was left alone with him to change his diaper. This person was also present/in the room when the first incident happened. After taking him to the doctor and getting him x-rayed, we discovered that his right arm was fractured. We were not only concerned for our child's safety, but the safety of other children. We contacted the police to file a report and then contacted the daycare administrators to provide a written record of the information that we knew thus far. We had so many unanswered questions and requested a meeting. Their response, prior to learning about law enforcement being contacted, was essentially that if there is no incident report then there was no incident however, they would meet with us. They claimed to have interviewed with the teachers in the Newborn room and the information had changed from what was said to us the day we picked him up and what was said to us via text messages, to now a new story that protected the daycare staff from being implicated. Instead of showing concern for our child's wellbeing, they were incredibly defensive. Then, after the investigation began, the administrators contacted us again to say that they would no longer be interested in a meeting or resolution with us. That kind of behavior would be shocking and disturbing to any parent. It reinforced the need for us to trust our gut as we did to get the authorities involved. Our son was put in a cast for two weeks (as shown in the photo) and upon getting it removed, struggled to begin crawling again. He continues to have a trauma response anytime he is up on a traditional changing table because that is most likely how/where he fell and broke his arm. I truly appreciate how quickly the local police department, state licensing agency, and CPS responded to this case. We knew that without cameras in the facility or employees that are willing to tell the truth, it would be hard to get answers. The person directly responsible for causing harm to our child has not come forward, but the case is still open. If you have any information that could be relevant to this case, please reach out to us. I continue to look back on the experience and just wish it didn't have to come to this. If they had cameras installed after the first incident, this could have been avoided. Still to this day, they do not have cameras which says a lot about how seriously they're taking these claims and striving to do better. Be better! For the safety of our kids. While I feel sadness and empathy for how truthful this review is, it is not done with ill will or malice. Parents that are looking for a safe place for their children are looking for honesty in order to have an informed opinion. I hope that this can serve as an understanding of our experience at this daycare.
