So I went to the school age camp and let me tell you, it was so bad. it gets two stars because SOME…read moreof the staff was decent, but all of them ended up quitting due to how poorly they, and the children were treated. went here from about 2021-2025 and I have so many concerns about the well being of the kids. for one, when I was in camp for the summer, they would take us outside in blazing heat (85 degrees and sometimes more) for at least 4 hours a day, and it was insisted by the upper management according to Katie Berkermn (I believe that's how you spell her name at least). she led the school age program from almost 2024 until time of posting (July 2026) and she works there currently in a position of power among staff. Anyways, she forced us to go outside in a yard with only grass, broken hula hoops which have been thrown out by now, and a closed off sand pit that she wouldn't let us use. There were a few other toys, but they were mostly broken or thrown out. We weren't allowed to go to the bathroom on most occasions while we were outside because either the staff was lazy, or there were not enough staff to take us outside to begin with. they would bring out SINK water in a used juice container that they loosely washed out before repurposing, and I know for a fact the water wasn't really drinkable due to the temperature, the plastic left out in the sun that contaminated it, and the black flecks in the water after getting it from the bathroom sink. I once got food poisoning or an infection (not sure which) from the poor water. It tasted almost chlorinated. Once they kept us outside while a wildfire from canada kept the air quality really low, and a child got a severe asthma attack which teachers made worse by giving him cold water. They were clearly not medically trained and didn't even send him to the hospital for a matter of at least 30 minutes after the incident started. He eventually was taken to the hospital in an ambulance but it was clear he would never come back to the day care. Also, the food quality was very bad, and if a kid pronounced it inedible and didn't eat it, they would let the child starve that day. it consisted of breadsticks with cheese that clearly wasn't good because of how it was prepared and stored, raw hamburgers with no cheese, occasional fries, and some canned fruit. It quite literally looked like and tasted like prison food. And one time this fifth grader kicked me, and teachers just sent me to school with a huge bruise that my parents heard me complain about for weeks. Everyday after lunch in the summer, Ms. Katie would sit us down on the floor of concrete with some thin carpet that was drilled into the ground, and we'd watch some air buds movie that Mrs Katie chose. Nobody ever liked it but Katie, who was sitting in her office eating snacks the whole day. She didn't allow us to play with toys or bring in blankets as we sat there for two to three hours straight. No snacks or entertainment other then that movie was provided for the whole time. They made the children do most of the chores as long as it didn't require harmful chemicals, such as sweeping, wiping the tables, and picking up messes from the little kids. It always smelled horrible in there, and the smell gave me and my siblings a headache. Some kid shoved a spoon down the toilet and they didn't fix it for 3 years. boys and girls had to share a bathroom and still do even after the plumbing issue was resolved. Staff didn't take the initiative to keep people out of the occupied restroom, and there was multiple times where kids would walk in at me and my siblings just to stare while we were using the bathroom. school age area is much better decorated now then it was a year ago, because of a teacher who quit because of how badly she was treated by her manager (Katie). It used to be so dull, and the cabinets that now hang on the wall, cut me multiple times while I was walking by them. I have a scar on my elbow from fourth grade. They never have medical things, and would run out of bandaids often from how many kids needed. The thermometer is years old and not sanitized correctly. The kids are also violent, with several instances where someone kicked a whole in the wall, bit, kicked, hit, cussed, or threw items (myself included). The staff banned phones and electronics (even school ipads and chromebooks) because students would call or text their parents bad things about the daycare. Now they lock electronics in Katie's office so that nobody can "snitch" a diabetic kid who used her phone to check her sugar wasn't allowed to have her phone unless a staff member was watching her screen. The blatent favoritism was also crazy. Katie's kids get better treated by a lot, the autistic kids are favorited by staff, and older kids are yelled at way more. I won't really go into that but you get the point. The state was on their ass a lot because of how many medical incidents, bullying, and unsafe situations occured. Do not send your kids here
