Friendly knowledgeable staff make it comfortable weather you know nothing or everything about guns. "Knowing nothing about guns, I was gifted my father's favorite hand gun when he passed away knowing that "it needed parts". I was recommended to Center Mass and met Patrick as soon as I walked in. He helped me put the parts we had back together and researched what part was missing. He thoroughly explained how it would still work without it but also the consequences of not getting a new one. Unfortunately, there were no parts available online - anywhere - for such an old German gun but he helped me figure out how I could make one myself. After all that work and effort he put into the gun and me, he didn't charge me a thing. Being clueless about guns, they all made me feel comfortable and treated me well. i attended the first time shooters class on 4/18/2026 , it was very informative and enjoyable the…read moreinstructor was awsome! i attended the cpl class 6 years ago, that was also a very rewarding experiance, the reason for first time class is because you can never stop ;learning! this message is meant to let the staff there know why you have to be what some people percieve as arrogant is because you are in an environment where there is no room for customers who come in thinking and acting like they know firearms and are arrogant as well and im sure the advice you give to this type of customer is really liability because they just dont know and wont listen to experience . very unsafe im sure i for one apprciate experience thanks guys and gals!

I recently came here to get a monthly membership for the gun range. This was my second time coming…read morehere. It was my first time bringing my rifle the lady at the counter and asked me what type of caliber I was shooting and what kind of ammo I said 5.56 green tip she notified me that the green tips were not allowed on the range so I purchased non-green tip 556 round from them and I proceeded to go to the pistol range after I was done at the pistol range I went to the counter and the lady requested I give her my green tip rounds as I was pulling my ammo out of the bag to give to her the manager, Gary Allen was very rude and was harassing me as I was giving it to her so I requested my money back on the ammo. This place is not friendly at all. I do not recommend spending your money here. I would take it to somewhere else like Center Mass in Livonia where they're friendly and they treat you like family. I don't know what's wrong with that guy that day, but that was very disrespectful and I will be taking my money elsewhere again stay away from this place. They are very unprofessional. Also to note you can read other reviews about this place about how they are rude and unprofessional. At the range, after we completed the requisite tasks needed for the certification, he then put us through drills specific to our observed areas of opportunity--the person to my right had half his target taped off to represent a threat partially obscured, while I was walked through several grip changes that immediately corrected my tendency to pull toward the left. You'd be hard pressed to find someone that can make an 8-hour class on rules and safety more enjoyable than this instructor.
