[ Overall Impression | TLDR] Visit Date: Nov 7, 2025 10:45…read morePM to 12:10 AM Smooth ER visit on a weekday night. Staff remained alert, kind, and quick despite being short handed. Facility is clean, modern, and practical for overnight care. Parking tight but manageable if you arrive before midnight. [ Parking] * Don't forget your parking pass with you * Handicap [Sticker]? Use @ round about valet * Garage access P2 floor and above before noon (fills fast by lunch) * Patient drop off zone near ER entrance * Limited short term parking after 9 p.m. * Use bathroom before leaving in case of long exit line * Trucks not recommended unless parked on higher levels for space; lower levels may stick out [ Building & Layout] * Entrance positioned too close to garage, causing traffic congestion when busy due to overlapping entry and exit points [ Bathroom / Amenities] * Stroke patients can't use the restroom until cleared by a physical therapist; must use an ergonomic bucket on the bed (covered) * Chilly overall unless sitting near the window where the sun shines through [ Kitchen & Refreshments] * N/A at the moment [ Surroundings] * Strong city views spanning from St. Louis to Midtown to Clayton [ Interior & Atmosphere] * Modern and soothing pastel color scheme [ Staff] * (Main) Very friendly and urgent (Amanda) * Short staffed but responsive * Echocardiogram staff kind and efficient [ Notable Details] * [ ER] * Staff show sincerity and urgency even on non weekends * Wait time moderate; triage moves efficiently * Security check and ID required at entry * Visitors limited after midnight (confirm at front desk) * PM to AM (Weekday Fri): Visitation for Admission [ Internet (Likely Fiber)] * Download 177.9 Mbps * Upload 124.1 Mbps * Wi Fi stable in room (possibly router or emitter near window) * Plenty of outlets for laptops and chargers * Windows cannot open (5th floor)

First impressions are everything and it didnt happen for me at this hospital…read more Parking is literally non-exsistant. I assume due to construction there is only 1 garage for both the hospital and the dr bldg. Don't bother trying to get a spot as you go up, just go straight to roof where I eventually found one. It cost to park, take your ticket, they'll give you maybe $1 off if you validate it. If you can't find a spot, valet the car. It costs as well. The new concept of everybody checking in at the front before going to their respective waiting rooms is here. Its confusing since no one seems to want to help. Again first timers be aware of your surroundings. Communication lacks here with the particular office I was at. They may care but its more of a revolving door. The nurse i dealt with could use a few lessons in her approach. I won't get into details but if I stick with this particular practice I'll be going to their satellite location, not returning here.

I was in excruciating pain the entire time, but. nobody acknowledged that. once seen, I was in surgery within 6 hours. I spent a week there and was told to call the surgeon for a follow up appointment. When I called after discharge, I was told he didn't need to see me. 7 months later I had a major surgery because my care was not followed up by the Mercy South doctors. The doctors at Mercy Central were amazing. My mom is at Mercy South tonight. The one hospital I never wanted her to be at. I called for over an hour and couldn't reach anyone at the hospital. Every department line just rang until it disconnected. When I finally got through to the operator, she was incredibly rude and disrespectful. When I told her I didn't appreciate her attitude, she hung up on me! My great grandfather died at this hospital, a preventable death. when it was St Anthony's. We officially deemed it St Agony's after that. Mercy or not, it is still St Agony's.

I went to SSM Health St. Mary's ER after being referred by my doctor due to worsening symptoms from…read morea complex, progressive condition involving active tissue necrosis, rapid abdominal edema causing severe positional pressure, and neurological involvement. My doctor had already advocated for proper evaluation. During the visit, the PA documented false information, including stating I had "no medical history" despite my MyChart records going back to 2001. Key symptoms I reported were not documented at all. The visit resulted in minimal workup and discharge. When I later attempted to correct the inaccurate information in my medical record under HIPAA, the hospital has ignored my requests. I have called multiple times requesting the amendment form and have received no response or action. This is not a minor documentation error -- false statements were placed in my chart that misrepresent both my history and what occurred during the visit. I am currently declining with active, progressive symptoms. The combination of falsified charting during the visit and the hospital's refusal to address record accuracy when requested has made it significantly harder to receive appropriate care elsewhere. This level of disregard for accurate medical documentation while a patient is visibly and actively ill is unacceptable.

This was such a great ER/ hospital to my family this past week!…read more My mom started having an allergic reaction last week, so we went in and were talked to immediately. This wasn't a life threatening emergency, so it was urgent but nothing we were in panic mode about. The woman handling check ins of patients was so kind and calmly walked us through everything. We were taken back by a nurse within 5 minutes, and we were treated like people... not just another patient that's coming in a needing care. We were seen by a doctor and out within an hour and a half. I feel like this is unheard of in an ER. We had to make another trip yesterday, as my mom was unknowingly allergic to the antibiotics that were given at the first visit. It was the same type of visit as the first- prompt and lots of kindness. We stayed a bit longer this time trying to problem solve what were the best options, but our whole day wasn't spent in the ER, like I have heard stories from other ERs. I am so thankful for this spot and it's staff. Working in healthcare is not easy, especially during these times, and I'm so thankful for them taking care of us.

The ER doesn't have individual rooms, it has a triage room with curtains separating the beds. I heard the health history, diagnosis, test results and everything else for every other patient in there. This set up has to be a HIPAA violation. Not mention when the person came around getting patients insurance and verifying info, SS numbers, phone numbers, addresses, all kinds of stuff were said out loud for everyone to hear. And the room which housed 5 beds was maybe 20x20. No privacy whatsoever. I won't go back.

Honestly, I was worried. I was going to have to leave a low review due to my second day at the…read morehospital but once my night nurse just arrived they were phenomenal. Let me start from the beginning! The anesthesiologist, Chris he was phenomenal. Listen to me the entire time and really tried to help. Chris also went above and beyond after our Baby was born, taking tons of photos on my husband's phone for us since I was out of it to capture the moment. The day I was admitted, they told me my two-year-old could stay the night but then when I switched rooms I was told we were misinformed and no kids under 16 could stay. So we had completely changed last minute with an hour left of visitation which resulted in me having to stay overnight by myself without my husband helping therefore I only got two hours of sleep. Frustrating getting different pieces of information. Dietary was a nightmare they consistently messed up our worse, forgot food and would have to bring up another tray, which would take another 15 minutes at a time. We are waiting over 45 minutes for food. One of the nurses made a comment that's where they get their lowest ratings is from dietary. The nurse had eight students with her and offered if we wanted to get some rest. One of the students would watch our daughter, which was very kind. Apparently they don't have a nursery so that you can rest even after c sections there's not an option. They also don't offer pacifiers unless your baby is in a lot of distress. The nurse told me just to go home and grab one. The real amazing nurses were Becky, who was my second night nurse, Jackie, my second night nurse. The scrub nurse Alie and my other nurse Tori were incredible the entire time I cannot brag about them enough. They helped me watch her so I could sleep on my second night. They got my pain under control that you're seriously went above and beyond.
