I completely and respectfully disagree with Paul. I had the distinct pleasure of letting Joshua K tattoo me tonight. I had my design already. The owners Matt and his wife were there tonight as well. When we walked in (it was 3 of us, 2 of us got detailed art work done) we were warmly greeted. These guys are some damn good artists. I looked at their work before even asking for a price on mine. I went ahead and decided to get the tattoo. This particular tattoo, was very deep and personal to me. Joshua took the time to understand that. He skectched a copy over and placed the template exactly where and how I wanted it, no questions asked or pushback. (Some previous shops I have been too have said they dont like certain areas of the body to be worked on). This tattoo went on my back om my right shoulder blade. On a pain scale 1 - 10, I gave it a 4.5. I have a low tolerance so I was even happier that it didnt hurt as much as I thought it was. Call me a glutton for pain... love the ink hate the pain lol. From start to finish, took maybe an hour. Was a very detailed piece, and Joshua executed it perfectly. The shop was clean, well kept and the entire tattoo process was 100% transparent, you saw everything they were doing, new needles being opened, proper disease prevention measures etc. I did have a small wait before sitting in Joshuas chair, but Matt and his wife were friendly and very social the entire time. I honestly have never had such a great experience like this. My friend with me had the same exact experience. The other customers, same thing. I highly recommend them. I attached my tattoo below. He offered his sincere condolences for our loss and made the whole experience memorable and wonderful. I went for the Friday the 13th flash sale. The vibe was amazing. I had an absolutely amazing time here; Matt did my tattoo and my nose/helix piercing. I swear he did it all within 15 minutes. And he did such an amazing job on not only the tattoo but also the piercings. They're all healing beautifully. Matt was an awesome guy, made me feel comfortable. Even though there were a good bit of people there, they still saw us quickly and efficiently and didn't make us wait. I'll definitely be going back. So I texted the fb messenger and asked about a pricing on nipple piercings. She was direct and told me about 50 bucks. I went in, and she was very welcoming and kind. The vibe was very relaxed. However I would recommend scheduling ahead of time and leaving plenty of time out of your day because it can be a long process. Card is accepted and it was the exact price she promised. Super nice. I usually love this place. I love the owners, and Matt does a wonderful job. But he was busy the other night when I went in, and this other gentleman did my tattoo. Horrible job done. The tattoo looked nothing like the picture, and he told me to come back in two weeks so he could fix it. It was a very basic tattoo. To give them the benefit of the doubt, they told me I was dehydrated... mind you, I drink over 84 ounces of water a day and had peed like 4 times before I even was able to get back to the guy. I can no longer reccomend this businesses. I can honestly say the owner is a good artist. "IF" you can get a complete tattoo the day you arrive and for a preapproved in concrete price, you should be OK. Be very very careful NEVER to BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES. He only see them for the value of what you pay not the cash value he claims they are worth. SO there is no discount savings, and no advantage to purchase them. Also be prepared to make several appointments that he wont keep, probably for legit reasons. But he wont do the courtesy of calling or texting g you ahead if time because only his time and gas have value, not yours. read more

Haven't been here but I heard a horrible story about this place from a girl who was meant to be a guest artist for him. From what she said, prior to the day she was meant to tattoo at his shop, he was very professional and talkative and ensured her that his license would cover her so she could legally tattoo the clients that she'd booked. However, day of comes around and she arrives at the shop a half hour before opening and waits for this guy to show up to unlock the doors. An hour and a half went by and he still wasn't there. She claims he ignored her calls and texts so she eventually find another place that would take her. However then she came to find that Slow Fade had also given her false information about licensing so she wouldn't have been legally allowed to tattoo in his shop so she was forced to cancel all of the bookings she'd made that day and miss out on a lot of money. He still has not contacted her to explain himself and what happened. if this is how he treats his guest artists then I don't even want to imagine how unprofessional he is to his customers. I had my first tattoo done here about six years ago. I was satisfied with the work so today I went back for my second tattoo. Again, I was satisfied with the work. The studio is clean and the artists are both professional and friendly. I felt super comfortable during the 2-hour visit. I highly recommend Slow Fade! read more

My wife and I went there recently. She was not exactly sure what she wanted, but had some ideas. She wanted to get some work done to integrate the tattoos on the back of her neck. I did not get a great feeling from the guy. He pointed at the books on the table and told her to pick one. What she wanted would take a bit more than that... maybe a bit of creativity to make everything work. After some prodding, he finally took a look. He took a picture of her neck and told my wife that he would draw something for her. He said to come back at the same time tomorrow. She did. No sketch. He was sitting on the couch watching TV. I have got piercing done there before that were okay but I got my nipple pierced there not to long ago. Worst piercing every I had to end up taking them out. Not only were they pierced wrong but I had to go back twice to get longer bars because my skin was trying to grow over the to short bars. By the end of it all I had tongue ring bars in my nipples. I've had three cartilage piercings done here, and these guys are great! They follow all the necessary procedures to keep things sterile, and all three of my piercings healed beautifully with no issue at all. These guys know how to make you feel comfortable and at ease, and they listen to what you're asking for and execute it perfectly.
