I stumbled on this when looking for museums and other interesting places near Marysville. When I walked up to the building I was amazed. Zanesfield is a nice little town, with quite a few preserved buildings, but I did not expect a library as stunning as this. Built in 1914, I believe, it is Carnegie-esque and simply exquisite, inside and out. Beautiful details and design. It is sort of half library, half museum, with small history displays, maps, photo albums, a large local history shelf, and a decent selection of other books and periodicals. There's a children's room, Internet access, and a small kitchen downstairs which would make it an interesting event venue.
The librarian is very knowledgeable about the library and community, and has written a wonderful walking tour pamphlet. Be sure to pick one up. read more
