History
Established in 2016.
slnlaw llc traces its roots back to 2009, when Attorney Emily Smith-Lee, after 13 years of practicing in a large international law firm, started her own solo practice, focusing on business and employment litigation. That practice grew and merged with another group of attorneys in 2011; in 2016, in order to allow the attorneys to focus on their core practice areas, that practice split into three new firms, including slnlaw llc, with five attorneys specializing in business and employment law and estate planning.
Meet the Manager: Emily S.
Emily has over twenty years experience in civil litigation, including business, employment and consumer disputes. She graduated from Boston College Law School, summa cum laude, in 1996, and practiced at a large Boston, Massachusetts law firm for thirteen years before starting her own law firm in 2009, which eventually became slnlaw LLC.
Emily has represented individuals and business in civil litigation involving trade secrets, non compete agreements, business litigation, labor and employment law, and consumer protection law, helped employees invalidate or re-negotiate their non compete agreements, obtained settlements for dozens of employees employment lawsuits, and favorably resolved numerous business disputes. Emily also provides advice to business owners on employment and contract issues.
Emily is admitted in Massachusetts state and federal courts. She lives in Sharon, Massachusetts, where she served for 8 years on the School Committee and is currently a Selectman.
