In addition I had a child with growing special needs that had me overwhelmed. Then I met Howard who turned everything around from the prior judgment, custody, alimony, all of it. He made things right. I can't say enough wonderful things about Howard Lewis. I've never met an attorney who showed more integrity, honesty, warmth and genuine concern towards his clients. He is highly responsive, extremely well versed in what he does and simply put, knows his stuff! In a very difficult time he put my mind at ease and accomplished more than I could have asked for. If you want an attorney who does everything he promises and who genuinely cares about YOU, Howard is the lawyer to call. I would recommend him to anyone and to those who have used him on recommendation from me would tell you the same. They don't get any better than him or the others at his firm. He has only the best of staff. Everyone is WONDERFUL!!!!

She is an incredibly valuable asset to any client that is fortunate to hire her and to the Lewis & Leeper firm. We all hope to find our calling and be the best at it. Mandy is proof of that. I can't say enough good about her. You will have to experience her professionalism to truly appreciate her expertise.

The communication between this firm with lenders, buyers, and sellers are definitely the reason why I would never recommend this firm. From paralegal to receptionist, the lawyers were not on top of their clients, and had poor turnaround time with other lawyers in the area. One of the partners on the letterhead actually lied to me when he was just trying to get my signature on his documents and caused more grief, tension, and bitterness in the end between all parties. There are too many RE lawyers in the area to use, and for much less billable. I would never recommend this law firm, and they need to have a course in sensitivity training and people skills.

Every one of them tried to persuade us to file a Ch 13 because they believed our income was too high for a Ch 7. Robert was the only attorney who carefully reviewed our situation and felt we had a strong case for Ch 7. We ultimately decided to hire Robert, and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. Robert's preparation was incredibly thorough. He paid attention to every detail and followed a very structured process. At times, I honestly thought he was asking for more documentation than necessary. I didn't understand why he needed so much paperwork--until the hearing. While waiting for our case to be called, we watched several other attorneys struggle because they weren't prepared. The magistrate repeatedly reprimanded attorneys for their lack of preparation, and many cases had to be continued. When my wife's name was finally called, I was nervous that we'd run into similar problems. Instead, thanks to Robert's preparation, every document was in order and every question was answered immediately. Our hearing went smoothly without a single issue. Our case was completed efficiently and without any resistance from the court. Seeing firsthand how other cases unfolded made us appreciate Robert's attention to detail, preparation, and deep knowledge of the law even more. If you're looking for an attorney who will thoroughly prepare your case and give you the best possible representation, I highly recommend Robert Kovacs. We were fortunate to find him.

I rarely write 1-star reviews but strongly feel this is necessary…read more My husband and I met with Jennifer Deland to discuss estate planning, and the meeting it was extremely unproductive and frustrating. Jennifer requires a $400 non-refundable fee for a consultation fee unless you sign on with her within 30 days - this was our first mistake, but a good (costly) learning for us. First, we sat in a tiny, dingy room that barely fit three as she struggled to find usable space on a whiteboard that was stained with marker. Realizing she couldn't erase the board, she opted to use someone else's faded hen-scratches to "guide" our discussion. She jumped from topic to topic erratically, and our specific questions seemed to throw her off. She repeatedly referenced what other clients have done rather than provide guidance on what would best suit our needs, which is why we were there! We came prepared with a 1-page Asset Summary that she barely read through and asked where our "receipts" were. Why she needed proof of our assets is beyond me - this was supposed to be a consultation. She did, however, pull public records of our home in advance of the meeting. As it became apparent that she wanted us to "pick" an approach and sign on with her, we pushed back, citing that we were in no way prepared to select an approach given our minimal understanding of our options. She then leaned into us and rudely blurted out, "Well, what is your objective?" Stunned, we responded, "to create a plan". The conversation was maddening. After a few unsuccessful attempts to convince us to sign on with her, she said, "OK, let me make one last-ditch effort" (were we buying a used car?) She began typing frantically on her laptop, explaining that she needed to make thorough notes about our meeting and said we'd be receiving a letter with "curt language" in the mail, but we could still change our minds within 30 days. To wrap up, she asked if we had a "little check for her". Sorry, $400 is hardly little. We paid her, took our asset inventory and left.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. Throughout my interactions with this attorney, I found the level of professionalism to be disappointing. There appeared to be an overwhelming caseload, which often resulted in confusion regarding court dates, meeting times, and case-related communications. Important details were frequently mixed up, creating unnecessary stress and requiring constant follow-up. Communication was another significant concern. Emails were often written in an unprofessional tone, and when mistakes occurred, there was little to no accountability. Instead of acknowledging errors and working collaboratively to resolve them, responsibility was often shifted elsewhere. At the same time, delays from clients or others involved in the case were met with criticism and impatience, creating a frustrating double standard. Perhaps most concerning was the overall lack of confidence this experience inspired. Professionalism, organization, accountability, and respect are qualities clients should expect from legal representation, and unfortunately, those qualities were consistently lacking in my experience. If this review is challenged or dismissed simply because the attorney claims not to recognize the situation or disputes the feedback, that would only reinforce the concern. Clients have a right to share honest experiences, whether positive or negative. This review reflects my genuine experience and opinion based on direct interactions. I would encourage anyone considering representation to carefully evaluate whether this attorney's communication style, organization, and professional conduct align with their expectations before retaining services.

Melanie did what the other 2 lawyers didn't do. SHE GOT RESULTS! Lucky for me, the third time was the charm. I found out about Melanie Solomon on the Mass Super Lawyers list. I am proof of why Melanie is on that list. Melanie gave me great advice on whether to pursue possible legal action versus just going after retirement funds owed to me. Melanie's only interests and concerns were to do what was best for her client. My case was very challenging as my uncooperative ex-wife moved out of state to Florida and the retirement funds were moved to a different company. Melanie was very organized and kept tabs on my case to keep things moving. She persisted and pushed things along till it's successful conclusion. What stood out to me was that Melanie was a true professional. My case was probably one of her smallest cases, but she cared, accepted full responsibility of my case and I always felt like she was giving me the same effort of her more lucrative cases. Melanie's billing was more than fair and offered great value. My only regret is that I didn't select Melanie from the start. In my heart, I know Melanie would have got things done once, right and the first time. SELECTING THE RIGHT LAWYER CAN BE A LIFE CHANGING AND CONSEQUENTIAL DECISION. Selecting Melanie Solomon will be one of the best decisions you can make.
