AVOID PERCY. I have sold 2 homes that closed thru Percy, about 4 years apart. I did not choose them, buyer did. These were some of the worst I've experienced in over 40 years in real estate/ re finance, through dozens of closings in a dozen states or more. Both had extra documents that were not applicable to the property type. Requests to change them before closing were never responded to, and we ended up dealing with them at closing with an attorney who was not aware of them. This causes an embarrassing. messy, long closing. They also do not wire money, and only pay thru check. This is unique to closing agents. Someone more suspicious would think they were playing with the funds. But that's not how sellers are paid in their world, Its not good funds. That check will take 10 days to clear a bank. A wire is immediate. They were small closings, I can't imagine the pain of a multi-million dollar closing. Also, in both closing, I had to wait for that check. The second time, it was an extra 2 hours between the f/u closing and the wait. The first time I made 3 trips to the office, got BS each time, and got paid after 3-4 days. Meanwhile the buyer was already in the property. Then, 10 days again for their check to clear. So, hire them in your peril. Unless you hate your seller. Then you have your guys. read more

I had a very complicated and older workman's comp claim. I tried several other lawyers, all reluctant to represent me for those reasons. I reached out to Diane Sunderland at Percy law group and I immediately felt comfortable. They weren't unrealistic and explained all the obstacles . They were none condescending and explained that every decision was mine to decide with their legal expertise as a template to work with. Between attorney Sunderland and her paralegal Amanda I don't think I ever had to speak to a voicemail. They were very good about answering my questions. I completely agree with the other negative reviews of Attorney Erica Jacobsen. But instead of offering my opinion, I will provide the facts. I hired Erica in mid October 2023 to take over the probate of my father's estate. At that time, the estate inventory was due in early November which I made clear to Erica during our initial calls. Once Erica had made her appearance on my case, I did all of the legwork and provided the completed signed form to Erica and she assured me it was all set. I have an email trail of this. Erica then became very difficult to get in touch with. On December 4th I emailed her with a question related to the case. She didn't respond. I followed up on Dec 13 and she responded the next day, stating she thought she had responded but realized she hadn't, but never actually answered my question. I asked her the question again, to which she didn't respond. I then followed up on December 20th and again, never got a response. In early January, she printed out a hard copy of an email and snail mailed it to me with a note asking me to call her. I did, and left a voicemail. I then proceeded to not hear back from her until Feb 7th, a full month later, after I followed up by email-- though I did get a bill from her for leaving that voicemail in the meantime. This time she blamed her paralegal for not setting up a call. We then had a call on Feb 13th and agreed on a clear plan for next steps. After that I didn't hear from her for 2 months until I got a bill that showed no work had been done and none of the next steps had been worked on, so I hired a new attorney. Then today, October 15th 2024, I received a court citation served by a constable because the inventory that Erica had supposedly filed in November was never actually filed with the court. For all of this, I paid Percy Law Group $6,000 and absolutely no progress was made on the case, and in fact Erica actively impeded my case. Thomas Percy can say bad reviews are inaccurate all he wants, but in this case, the facts are the facts and I more than happy to provide email trails that proves everything I've said. I would like at least a partial refund of the fees I paid Erica for the work that was not done, and if Percy Law Group owns up to their mistakes and makes it right, I will update this review accordingly. read more

The worst legal experience of my life...Erica Jacobsen was a train wreck...dealing with a divorce is difficult enough...but when your lawyer doesn't file paper work,doesn't respond to court and file papers on top of that refuse to return phone calls and emails...then,when you fire her the firm steals your retainer..and when you calmly ask to go over the numbers they threaten to call 911????
