Steve's team kindly without added fee removed the crowbar off the back windows to install the new ones. I received a quote from Steve which at first, I thought was quite high (I haven't replaced windows for nearly 15 years on the front house), however, I did get two other quotes which were $4,500-$8,000 more!!! Not only was Steve competitively priced, we ordered the windows November 2022 and off my memory, he quoted 4 weeks (other resources were 8-12 weeks). The windows arrived in 2 weeks and he had his crew install everything in one day! I believe they did it in less than 5 hours. The turn time, speed, and precision of the install was insane! I would highly recommend Steve with Glass Coast Windows and Doors to any of my family, friends, or neighbors. Great service, competitive, timely, and beautiful product. I love the pull-up style windows I chose as well as the calming rain style opaque glass for the windows that faced the alley off the back bedroom, bathroom, and storage room. We are extremely happy and did an added protection of security/privacy by adding pull-down shades to the storage windows because you could still see objects hanging (bikes, etc.) if the sunlight hit the window the right way OR if we had the light on through the opaque rain glass. I wanted to prevent any additional theft so we added some simple, inexpensive pull-down shades. Just keep that in mind. Overall, so happy we decided to replace all of the windows and not just the back dwelling. Adding new windows makes a huge difference in the appearance as well as knowing more security! I always put things off because I though a frameless shower door was crazy expensive. I contacted them thru the website and gave them the dimensions of my opening. They sent back list of multiple options, framed, frameless, top hung with rollers with prices of each. I was surprised that frameless was just a little more than with a frame! I mean who wouldn't do that. To my surprise the most expensive option was the top hung with rollers, it looked more high tech but also reminded me of a frame so I went with the frameless as I had planned. They came out to measure and within a few weeks installed it. It looks so much better! I wish I had done it years ago. They were quick efficient, friendly and affordable. If you're even thinking of replacing an old track, frame type shower door, I wouldn't hesitate to replace it, I absolutely love my frameless shower door. These guys were true professionals.

The…read moreconversation was positive and went well as they let me know that their doors now have a longer warranty and that they would apply it to mine since it was just over a year old. They scheduled a tech to come out a couple days later. He saw that the frame was off just a bit, suggesting that was more due to the original install than the door just sagging over time. Not only did he fix the frame from sagging, but he also used touch-up paint to fix the scratches. The door looks good now and seems to be working well. I appreciate Den Defenders making it right. We are back to enjoying our security screen door. Thank you, Den Defenders.

I got my door installed the beginning of August and have given Den Defenders multiple attempts to…read moremake it right. My brand new door that I paid 4k for had a scratch by the door knob. They came out and painted it with a paint that did not match and wondered why I was not happy. They just say that is the way they do touch ups and I should be happy. If I were to do it again I would not go with Den Defenders because the sales guy said it would be custom and that is not what l experienced. The trim at the bottom you can see where it was cut and not painted and the threshold piece at the bottom that was $200 extra was cut poorly and not painted.

This review is waaayyyyy overdue…read more Last May, we were shopping for a new security screen door to replace our old one, which we had gotten from Lowe's years ago. The old door had been good, but over the last few years, it had begun to rust and was not providing enough transparency when people came to the front door or ventilation for our front room. We looked at different vendors and called around to different door and window specialists and big box stores, and after "kicking some tires" looking at different display models around town, we were kind of disappointed with the quality of the doors. We wanted a very secure door with lots of visibility, ventilation, and more of an old-school screen door look. We almost bought a door at Dixieline, which had good reviews, and appeared to be the most secure and what we wanted, but when we went to check out a display model, were really disappointed at how much the frame of the door bent and wobbled when being opened and closed, which was odd because of how beefy it was. We decided to give Safeguard a call, and we couldn't be happier. They were very responsive and when I asked to see a display of a door, they actually gave me the address of one of his sons in our area who had the screen installed on his front door, and even invited us to Alpine to see the owner's house as another example. Plus, their doors are all custom-made to make sure the fit for the doorway is perfect. We visited the local house and were super impressed by the look and quality, and decided to have them do our project. Here is a quick summary of things: 1) Very responsive to calls and texts. 2) Came out to measure the same day. 3) Don, the owner, was very friendly and gave us a very thorough explanation about the build process and quality of the door when he did the measure. 4) Built, delivered, and installed the door ahead of schedule 5) Did a terrific job of demoing the old door, which was a big concern, and was able to install the new door with no issues or retrofitting. You can't even tell how this door is attached to door frame. All hidden hardware. I was really worried I would need to install new moulding or caulk it like crazy to hide where the old door was attached. 6) The door has a great feel and closes quietly instead of a loud clang every time it shuts. 7) The visibility and ventilation are 1000% better than our old door, and the door has an amazing lock system installed. We can leave the house with the front door open and have no concerns that our house is completely safe with just the screen being open. The added bonus on top of them being a family business and genuinely great people, is that the price and quality were better than anybody else that we researched. Fantastic job Don!
