They don't care. We bought a couch. Or tried to. Sales person was barely present for interaction but we were happy with what we got at first. Went home realized we've made an error in measurements and called to cancel sale. This is just ten-twenty minutes a part and they're saying they can't refund and can only give 80 percent back. Why? What for? They offered us to pick a different item but that's the only couch material suitable for our needs since we have a son with allergies. They did not give a care. I can't imagine why we should be losing 200 bucks for trying to canceling a sale that happened minutes before. Unfortunate customer service by the owner. I don't feel comfortable buying anything from them or sending anyone to them. Would NOT recommend. Wish I could give zero stars and I'm very disappointed. read more

DO NOY PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. I purchased a "leather" couch, chair and ottoman. In less than 6 months the "leather" started to peel away. Buyer beware...Bought sheets from sleepyheads after ONE washing they are falling apart! I bought sheets here 3 years ago and they were very good quality. These are horrible!!!! NOT worth $10. And they advertise on the pkg that they are $249. Haha. I spoke to the mgr and he would only exchange, FOR THE SAME CRAP SHEETS whats the point??? Guess he really needs this single moms 60$ Im so disappointed as I had bought extras as gifts and I will end up donating them because no way will I give these to someone as a gift! read more

Do not step foot in this store, I wish I had read these reviews before Buying from these rude, unethical people. They delivered a ripped and torn sofa to me. Delivery guy would not take it back. Said they would repair it. Did not like that but since I was there alone. I did not want to Take on the 3 delivery guys. Later I found more damage on the sofa including an exposed staple that I found by cutting my leg on. Also loveseat was damaged. I called the owner to try and come to a satisfactory and fair settlement. I even offered to come back to their Store and select another set. He was extremely rude to me. Repeating That the store's policy is to repair. Only after receiving a copy of my complaint to the Florida attorney Generals did they send an email to me And offered a new sofa and a "small gift" for me for my inconvenience. I refused and after several more attempts to have them pick up the furniture and credit my Amex card. My only recourse was to cancel with American Express. I was advised by the attorney General's office to notify several other Florida agencies that deal with consumer fraud and elderly matters. In all my 7plus decades I have never dealt with people such as these. I paid for delivery I offered to pay again for them to pick the furniture up to no avail. Since this happened I have been receiving Pornography in my email and messages. This has never happened before. I am going to notify the sheriff's office. To see if they can put a trace on this. Worst mattress buying experience ever. Bought a mattress and after getting it home we took it out of the box, mind you it's still rolled up in the plastic and never removed from it. We realized our bed frame was the issue not our old mattress, so we decided to take the still in plastic matress and put it in the box to return it but they refused to because the box was open. The guy behind the desk had headphones on and acted like he didn't even want to be there. Never buy from sleepyheads Melbourne Florida, they are a rip off. Sleepy Heads Furniture is the store you definitely will want to go to when it comes to making your house feel like home. They have everything you can think of when it comes to decorations, living room, family room, bed rooms and tables! I recently took the leap from living with my parents to my own apartment. Holli and JD helped me pick out everything I needed that matched my style. They basically did all the work for me with delivery and set up. Holli even picked out some cool decorations for me to add to my living room. I am very happy with my purchase and this store. Bought dresser from Sleepy heads. Received item and it was damaged. Owner would replace, but I had to take the dresser back to the store, pick up and move it to Bonyton Beach..... with an added expense of 6 hours of time and about $70 in gas....owners response........oh well. Egg P., Since the fireworks store is in a completely different parking lot and since the furniture store only has 6 spots for their own customers, it is perfectly reasonable that they would keep those parking spots for their customers. I don't see how it is UN-AMERICAN to want to be able to do business. I have shopped there several times over the years and they have always been professional, patient, generous and kind, even down to their delivery guys. Any small business (my realty firm included) would do the same. I would say it is totally normal to want to have space available for your own customers. If you were really set to look at mattresses you should have gone in there first, then maybe walked over to the fireworks store or asked if you could stay parked there. read more

After 5 long hours of shopping for a new couch with my boyfriend and thinking we would never find what we wanted at an affordable price, we walked into SleepyHeads as our last stop. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by a man named JD who graciously showed us around the showroom, explaining the sale they were having and discussing all our options of choice of upholstery, etc. Now, I know I can be somewhat of an indecisive pain in the butt (according to my bf) when it comes to any kind of shopping. But, JD was patient and very friendly. We were so amazed at the low prices and selection that I was having a hard time choosing, until I saw the couch I had fallen in love with at another furniture store earlier in the day. I was very excited to find that the couch was $200 cheaper at SleepyHeads, so of course I bought it right then and there. Because it was a Saturday when I purchased the couch, I was told I could pick it up on Monday. I will admit, there was a little hiccup on Monday when we went to pick it up as a new employee had accidentally put it on the delivery truck headed to Orlando. Now, when I bought the couch I was thinking the deal was too good to be true so when we did not get our couch on Monday I decided to check the reviews of this business online. Upon reading some of the reviews I was very nervous and worried that maybe it would be quite a while before we would actually have our new couch in our home. But, thankfully because of the mix up we were promised a delivery (free of charge) the very next day low and behold the couch arrived on time. I will also mention that the whole time the staff was extremely kind, apologetic, and professional. Also, come to find out the salesman, JD, who helped us decide on a couch was actually the owner! By the way, the delivery guy was super nice. I don't normally write reviews but I have gotten so many compliments on my couch and was so pleasantly surprised after reading the poor reviews that I felt I had to share my experience. All I can figure is maybe in the past they were working out some staffing issues or something of the sort, but whatever it was it seems to be worked out now and I had a positive experience. My boyfriend and I are actually planning on buying an entertainment center from SleepyHeads in the next month or so. read more

Hello Chuck, I wanted to write this review to share with you my awful experience I had at Sleepyheads in Melbourne. We purchased a sofa on Tuesday 3/11/14 of last week at 4:30pm and called the next day at 10am to cancel due to family giving us their furniture. The manager at sleepyheads told me a cash refund would not be a problem since it was less than 24 hours but she needed to get authorization from the owner. I was told I would receive a call back by the end of the day with confirmation. After no response for 24 hours, I had to call her the following day to touch base. She feed me this story that she couldn't get ahold of the owner but I should get a call back soon. A part of me knew she was playing games with me. So once again I received no call back that day. Now it is Friday afternoon; still no call from them. So I called the store Friday afternoon and was told the owner was attempting to contact the distributor to find out if a refund was possible. Well, the final outcome of this horrendous situation is they never cancelled the order. I had to call today 3/15/14 after receiving no call to find out the outcome. They dragged it out as much as possible to in the end tell me they can only offer me store credit. I was not aware until after the purchase that they do not offer cash refunds. What place in the 21 century does not offer refunds especially considering the situation. Perhaps drug dealers are the only business people that don't provide refunds. Sleepyheads can definitely be placed in the same category. The worst part of the situation was the atrocious customer service provided by the owner. When I made him aware that his manager told me "I don't think this will be a problem to get your money back but let me contact the owner for authorization", he proceeded to tell me I was lying, "that is what you say but I don't know if that is true". Wow, this guy really needs to get an award for worst business owner ever. My goal is to spread the word warning anyone who attempts to buy from Sleepyheads in Melbourne, Florida to run the other direction. I bought a dining room table and a sofa and love seat. The legs of the table broke before a year was up. I stopped by and they told me yes we can replace those. It will take a week, well now 6 months later, I still don't have the legs. I asked the owner, can I bring the whole thing back and buy a different one, using a credit from the old one, I was even willing to buy a more expensive one. He said he couldn't do that, I told him he was the owner and could do whatever he wanted. Needless to say I still don't have a table... DO NOT waste your time even going to this business!!! We are victims of their unfair policies, and they didn't even btake the time to make us aware of them. After buying a complete bedroom set several months ago, I returned to buy a mattress and box spring. The sales lady sold it to me, and I asked about exchanging it. "No issues" I was told if after trying it, there was a valid reason why I may want to exchange it so sale was finalized. Well I did try it-didn't like it and called to make exchange arrangements. HA! I was told that because I did not purchase a mattress protector that it was non returnable and I was basically left holding the bag and out over $400. I have enough common sense to KNOW that-IF I had been made aware of said policy I would have definitely bought the protector to PROTECT my right to exchange it!!! She NEVER EVER said a WORD regarding thjeir exchange rules! Now I am stuck with a very uncomfortable mattress, and enduring that every night with 3 herniated discs in my back:( So NO. We moved to the area last month and needed almost an entire house of furniture. We spent one weekend shopping every single furniture store on 1-92 (there are a ton!). Sleepy Heads by far had the best prices and I was pleased to find that it was all name brand. We ended up furnishing a living room, dining room, 3 bedrooms including mattress sets, a small dinette for the kitchen, and a few odd pieces like a rug, entry table, etc. Complete house full of Ashley furniture (they are an independent Ashley franchise), for a total of only $4000. The corporate Ashley store had us priced for most of the pieces we bought at $7500...thats almost DOUBLE the price! It all came about a week later and Sleepyheads delivery guys set it all up for us. They were courteous and took their time to make sure it was done right. overall it was a great experience. Since then we have referred several people including our new neighbors that bought a couch two weeks ago and love it as well. It is safe to say we will be customers of theirs as long as we live in the area. read more
