Went into the factory store to order a new customized mattress set, during that process we had a long discussion with the lady we dealt with. The discussion focused around how our current bed setup was literally falling apart and we needed to replace everything, mattress, box spring, frame. We also explained how we needed delivery to set everything up and remove what we had because my wife has medical issues and during things ourself would be difficult. Come delivery day, they arrive and quickly take the old mattress and box spring out of the house and get the new in, then inform us that we did not have a frame as part of our order (during the ordering process the lady did show us the computer screen to confirm, so maybe part of the blame is on us, but we assumed the frame was part of one of the several lines of data somehow). We drove back to the factory store, got a very insincere "sorry" as we purchased a frame to take home. During that we obviously complained about the process and was told there was nothing they could do to make it right, no discount, no adjustment to delivery fee, nothing. So we had to take the frame home and set everything up ourselves. After getting home we also found that the delivery guys left a bunch of plastic from the new mattress AND the old bed frame in a different bedroom in our house, which added to the frustrations and difficulties. Would I recommend their products? Yes (at least after one night, it is certainly a comfortable bed and seems like it will hold up) Would I recommend doing business with them? No - I really feel like they care about the sale.. the money.. not the customer. I have never felt so tossed to the side with a bad experience before & to be told they would do nothing to make anything right is so disappointing. We had planned on replacing additional mattresses in the somewhat near future but Original Mattress Factory really went out of their way to ensure we won't be using them again for those!

Due to thr nature of the furniture (USED), some of them are worn out and old but still in good enough shape. One gentleman helped me look around the sofa's. I ended up not buying anything because the red sofa that I wanted was a sofa bed so it would have been heavy to carry up to my apartment. They offer DELIVERY for $50 but will only deliver to your front door not inside your house because of the Coronavirus. I decided to shop around locally. When we entered, we were greeted by Tom. He was very friendly and professional. He didn't try to sell us anything over the top. We chose this behemoth. It has everything we wanted. It is a tad too big for my living room, but that's ok. I'm willing to sacrifice a little more space for comfort. Altogether, it cost me $2,700. That included couch, delivery & assembly, 5 year protection/replacement, and they hauled the old couch to the curb. My only gripe is I feel for the extra $200 they should offer to haul away the old furniture, especially since bulk pickup is only available certain days of the month, and if it's placed at the curb too early, you can get fined.

I got it down to three choices and then down to two choices and I eventually bought a loveseat AND a rocker recliner that day and put it on my credit card. within a half hour Ellen the office manager was calling me because she wanted to verify my address. It was smudged or illegible on her original. I was still in the car and I pulled mine out and my COPY was perfectly legible. But there was no phone number listed, they never asked. If there were no phone numbers listed, how did she call ? first thing Monday morning I called Ellen at the Brook Park store outlet to talk to her about our conversation on Saturday after she called me and I said there's no phone number on the Order, how is it You got my phone number? She ah and umm'd four times during our conversation because she had no idea how anybody got my private unlisted Phone number so I called her on it and she said well. The salesmen have a tool. I want to know what the name of the tool. She didn't know the name of the tool - the office manager did not know the name of the tool? I am angry. I am upset and I'm close to canceling my order at this very moment and it's Monday Delivery eventually arrived date asked for in early January but the delivery guys would NOT take my old sofa out as i had asked for cuz there's no where to put it here. Went back to store on Wednesday, spoke with Tom, spoke with STORE Manager and asked for a repair on rocker recliner. The repair was scheduled. The repair person was exceptional --came in diagnosed. The problem said he'd be back in a few weeks when the part came in --this company is exceptional. He came back in three weeks to fix both my recliner and my loveseat because they both had the same issue and left for the day. It is now more than six months later and these two pieces are already showing where they are very extremely cheaply made pieces and I'm not exactly happy that I pay $1200 for this junk. 20 years ago I bought five pieces of furniture for under $3000 . All were oversize pieces all quality leather and there was nothing wrong with them when I gave them away. So the quality of manufacturing has gone down extremely and i surely am seeing it. And now it nine months after my purchase, I have never ever heard from any of them to check how my delivery went, to check how my furniture was, to check how my repair went to check how I liked my furniture. A Nightmare Experience with Value City Furniture in Brooklyn, Ohio…read more I am writing this to warn anyone considering doing business with Value City Furniture. Our experience has transitioned from a simple home upgrade to a financial and personal nightmare. The Financial Loss We purchased a sectional sofa and paid thousands of dollars upfront. After receiving only a portion of the order, we were told the rest was on backorder. While waiting, the company filed for bankruptcy. Since then, they have flat-out refused to fulfill the rest of the order or provide a refund. We are now stuck in a position where we have no legal recourse other than to wait out the bankruptcy proceedings--a process where, realistically, we will likely never see a dime of our money back. They have essentially taken our money and run. The In-Store Incident The most disturbing part of this ordeal happened when we went to the physical store where we made the purchase to seek a resolution. Instead of professional customer service or empathy for our situation, the interaction turned hostile almost immediately. A salesman named Javier became incredibly aggressive. The conversation escalated to the point where he physically threatened us. It was so volatile and unsafe that the police had to be called to the scene. Final Verdict Value City Furniture is not just a failing business; they are unprofessional and, in our experience, dangerous. I ordered a bed from this store, changed my mind 57 times, laid on all the beds for many days in a row, and changed my order another 35 times. In the end I ended up with a big fancy bed that I still haven't figured out where I want delivered (it's like weeks later it is just sitting at their warehouse). The store manager, is absolutely a joy to work with. He is infinitely patient and knowledgable about the products in store. I have been to all the mattress stores in town and so far this is my favorite. Glad they are here. Stop by if you need a bed! I'll get mine delivered soon.

It took my wife and me a long time and several stores of comparison shopping before we realized that Levin was our best option. No high pressure sales tactics, they let us wander the store the night before our eventual purchase for several hours with a tape measure, with Tim available to answer questions whenever we needed him. 1-Star Review -- Think Twice Before Buying a Mattress from Levin Furniture…read more I strongly recommend that customers think twice before buying a mattress from Levin Furniture. My first mattress developed a dipping/sagging problem. I contacted Levin, they inspected it, and eventually replaced it. Unfortunately, the second mattress has developed the same dipping problem. When I contacted customer service again, I was told that I have to pay $54 just to have the mattress inspected. What is most frustrating is that Levin Furniture is essentially the middleman between the mattress manufacturer and the customer. Many customers may not realize this when they make their purchase. When something goes wrong, the customer can end up dealing with the manufacturer's warranty requirements and additional inspection costs. I am very disappointed after having the same problem with two mattresses. My advice: Before buying a mattress from Levin Furniture, ask exactly what happens if the mattress dips or sags, who is responsible for the problem, what the warranty requirements are, and whether you will have to pay inspection fees. We then went back to the store Monday, Presidents Day, 2 days later, to purchase the furniture only to be told they raised the price $400! They never before mentioned to us they go by "fiscal month"... all they ever said and the advertising price showed was "Good until the END of the MONTH"!!!
