Prior to working with Hilliary, our 9 year old (yes, NINE year old) needed my husband or I to lay with her to fall asleep. This required rubbing her back, singing, breathing exercises or some combination of the afore mentioned. Some nights, melatonin was also required. Some nights the process took 15 minutes, some nights over an hour. Other nights we gave up and resorted to letting her in our bed. More often than not, she ended up in our bed at some point during the night. I think Hilliary is someone who makes dreams come true - literally! We have twins who are 9 months old. Hilliary is seriously a miracle worker! My 2.5 year old was a champion sleeper...until we switched him to a big boy bed. Then every fight under the sun kicked in. Bedtime battles. Refusing to nap. We had gone 4 months averaging 8-9 hours a night of broken sleep for our 10 month old, not to mention, unpredictable and difficult naps (holding her during the entire time). Hilliary was recommended to us by a neighbor when we expressed that our 11 month old was not sleeping through the night, was co-sleeping with us due to convenience, had to be rocked and held to sleep, and was still taking 1-2 bottles throughout the night. We had hired Hilliary to sleep train our first baby, and we thought we had it down by the time our daughter came last year. We semi-successfully sleep trained her on our own when she was 5 months old, but she was still walking up at least twice a night to eat, and as she got older her sleep got worse due to digestive issues. once we addressed everything medical, we finally enlisted Hilliary to help us again just after our daughter turned a year old. At that point, she was waking up anywhere from 3-5 times a night and drinking up to 20 ozs overnight (face-palm). Our goals were to night-wean her and to get her to fall back asleep on her own if she woke up during the night. We were hesitant about contacting any sleep consultant because we knew our daughter didn't fit into the typical sleep formula that you read about in parenting books. I heard about Hilliary from some friends who had reached the end of their rope with a one year old who wasn't sleeping that entire first year. Hilliary was truly a godsend for my husband and I. We had her work her wonders on both our 3 year old and our 4 month old. As first time parents, we coddled the heck out of our first born and until we reached out to Hilliary, she wouldn't sleep in her own bed without one of us there and/or wouldn't sleep in her own bed at all.
