I'm giving two stars based solely on our shopping experience during this one visit. The store…read moreitself appears to have a great selection of mattresses, and we were looking forward to shopping in person rather than simply purchasing online. Unfortunately, the sales experience was not what we expected. We were greeted by a salesperson and began having a normal conversation about what we were looking for. However, the interaction became uncomfortable when we were asked about our price point before we really had an opportunity to explain our needs. When shopping for a mattress, we were hoping for more guidance, someone who would take a few minutes to understand what we were looking for, explain the differences between the mattresses, and help us narrow down which options might be suited for us. Instead, we felt more like we were expected to determine where to start and what to compare based on price point. We understand that every customer shops differently, and we certainly don't expect a salesperson to know exactly what someone wants immediately. However, a simple conversation about sleep preferences, comfort, support, and what we are hoping to find would have made a big difference. This review is about our experience during this particular visit, not a reflection of the entire store or its selection. We actually thought the store had a lot to offer. We simply left feeling that in-person shopping experience did not provide the level of help and guidance we were hoping for.

HANDS DOWN, BEST PLACE TO GO FOR YOUR NEW BED!!!…read more Finding a new bed has been quite the journey! Between reading through endless online product reviews and trying to find the perfect softness that my body enjoyed was quite the task. Just like most people I woke up one morning with a stiff neck, shoulder pains and my back was all messed up so I decided the time has come to retire my old mattress. I came in to Levins Strongsville location off of Pearl Rd clueless of what I wanted or what I needed and met this incredible guy named Jay. He literally helped me identify exactly what I needed after I told him about my problems. The great thing about Jay is that he wasn't a pushy salesman. He didn't try to sell me the most expensive mattress. He took his time and listened exactly what I was looking for and what type of budget I was working with and from there he went in with his recommendations. Of course I decided to splurge on myself and ended up selecting a Stearns and Foster mattress based off of their reputation and their incredible 10yr warranty you get when purchasing a cover. You know you're adulting when you get excited about waking up with less aches and pains! So we set up a day for it to be delivered which to met surprise was 3 days later! The next morning I woke up at the excitement of getting a new bed and decided I wanted to purchase the same one for my parents since they were also complaining about neck and body aches and figured since I couldn't afford to buy them a house the least I could do is invest in really great mattress for them for Christmas! I arrived early in the morning and the location was closed for another hour. There was a guy inside who saw me and came to the door. His name was Matt. He was super nice and gladly helped me place another order for my parents mattress. Zero attitude. He didn't point at his watch and tell me to come back. This is the type of service you will receive at this store. Both Jay and Matt have incredible customer service skills and you feel super comfortable investing in a new mattress. Moral of the story is I've discovered my perfect comfort level! On Levins scale its a #4! I decided to go with Stearns and Foster Cassat Plush mattress. If you are in the market for a new mattress GO HERE!!!!!!! I promise these guys will take care of you!!!!!! What you will get is 100% professionalism and incredible customer service!

Back when we went to check out mattresses the store manager was again very helpful. She even reminded us to take off our coats as we don't sleep in them. We were encouraged to try several mattresses. The price was reasonable and the option for old mattress removal was well worth it. Our family has use The Original Mattress Factory for over 40 years (never had a complaint). I don't think I would even bother checking anywhere else.

My husband and I had been…read moreputting off upgrading to a king-sized bed because we were so sure that it was going to be a pain to shop for one. We had braced ourselves for a long day possibly full of disagreements and detailed discussions about things like firmness, brand, financing, delivery, etc. OMF was the first and only place we went -- and we walked out the door happy within about 15 minutes, total, our new mattress delivered and set up and ready to be slept on in less than a week. Ryan, the store manager, was a delight to work with, giving us all the info we needed but never upselling us or pressuring us. He answered all of our questions, anticipated some that we didn't think to ask, and left us to make our own decision without a watchful sales eye (I hate when places keep an eagle eye on you while you try to figure things out!) I loved that they don't have a TON of mattresses to choose from -- just a few, locally made, on a firmness scale so that you can easily determine which ones you think you want to try and which ones not to bother with. We went with the second firmest option, with the springs, and a frame without a headboard (though Ryan let us know that they can pretty easily be attached later, if we want to buy one from OMF or elsewhere). Our mattress and bed were delivered the next weekend. Communication was easy and helpful, and the guys who made the delivery were speedy and skilled, navigating our narrow staircase without a single ding or dent in the walls. Our new bed is SO COMFORTABLE, & we absolutely adore it. Can't recommend OMF highly enough!

I was pretty sad-- if we had a little larger budget we would have been able to buy something pretty great. That's when I came across Express Furniture in Akron , Ohio. Express Furniture was listing it at $100 cheaper than the next guy, so I called the number, and Mike answered the phone. Come to find out that Mike is the stores owner, and we spent at least 15 minutes, maybe more, talking. Come to find out that he has family in Southern California where I reside. Never less, I purchased the credenza thru Express Furniture, and Mike guaranteed me that it would be properly protected for shipment, which was reassuring after reading about other reviews on the woes of shipping furniture. Mike even sent me the assembly instructions in advance, so I knew what needed to get me prepared. I am a small business owner, such as Mike at Express Furniture is. I always try to give my business to the smaller guys first, and in my case, it was also financially cheaper. Thanx again Express Furniture in Akron, Oh, hope we do business again. Troy W
