I absolutely HATE shopping for big ticket items, especially when there are potentially sales people with extremely varying information and what feels like only one goal. however, our experience with the Stockton Sleep Number store was the complete opposite and I could not be more pleased. Both Erica and Tyler were extremely knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and patient beyond anything I deserve... Especially when I changed my mind five times about what felt right before my significant other even arrived to have his turn trying everything out lol. They did an amazing job at making us feel welcome and a true part of the process rather than just another sale. We both have significant medical issues that influence our individual needs in this situation; they took the time to not only evaluate those needs and help us decide what would work best for us, but there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever. From start to finish, we were presented every bit of information we needed/ requested in order to make an informed decision. Erica was fantastic about following up with me and making sure that she could answer any questions that I might have, but never made me feel rushed or pushed in a certain direction. Ultimately, we elected to go with the climate 360 smart bed as it will best address both my Mobility needs and his/ my spinal concerns. They did a fantastic job helping us finalize the process with financing and made every effort to make sure we were getting the best deal possible. I am already counting the days until our new bed arrives... It was a complete game changer even just to try out the bed, I can't wait to be able to actually sleep at night without so much discomfort, on something that accommodates, both of our individual needs without necessitating compromise. Such a great experience here. My boyfriend has a sleep number bed and lets just say that I get much better rest at his house than I do with my con-caved pillow top mattress that is only 5 years old. We came in here and I honestly did not know if I'd be buying or not, but Erica was so knowledgeable, and there's absolutely no way with the great financing terms and the future hope of restful sleep that I was going to pass this up. Do you know these beds are about the same as a regular bed? But they come with a 25 year warranty, you can replace the parts yourself, and my new bed is going to tell me exactly how restful my sleep is. Can't wait for my delivery!! Bought a sleep number bed a few years ago. When the guys were setting it up I asked them what if I want to move to another position could I just scoot it. They both said oh no you don't move it call us and we'll come back and move it for you. So recently we bought a new house and I called for the bed to be taken down and was informed they would send me an email on how to break it down and to set it up myself. That they could have someone come out to break it down and they do not transport. $250.00 is what they charge and another $250.00 to set it up. Not once did the salesman or even the guys who delivered it originally mention of any charges down the road. Not only would it be risky for owners to do such a task but with no experience I would think the possibility of not doing it right and maybe have to then buy replacement parts to put in ourself. I expected somewhat of a charge for the service but certainly not $500 We're senior citizens I think it's just wrong all the way around. If I would have known I would have gone elsewhere. The bed is nice and all but not for all that. It needs to be disclosed verbally upfront out of all fairness! read more

As far as the customer service number you have to call if there is an issue with what you ordered(it was out of stock), they get a ZERO star. Absolute worst customer service ever. I've been waiting on a new part to inflate our bed and it's been on "backorder" for the last 3+ months. Every time I call they tell me it's coming it's coming. Put me on hold hang up on me and never answer my questions. Today I was told again it's on back order. Worst customer service ever. Wow! I apologize Max, I thought I had already posted this review..... Back in mid March my wife and I decided we were getting a new bed, and for about 10 years I've been wanting a Sleep Number bed. The wife has been hesitant because of the price. Enter Max this guy absolutely knows what customer service is. He was very laid back with zero pressure to buy. He had us try a few beds and after he explained all the details about each model my wife was convinced.We decided on the M7 Kingsize, What an amazing bed!! As for Max on a 1-10 scale he's a 11, all sales people should be like Max and really know their products, and be able to sell without needing to look everything up to answer questions. The delivery guys were awesome as well. Sorry I don't remember the names, I feel horrible about that. Then yesterdays visit, we got to work with Nick, yet another amazing experience we had with him. Very knowledgeable and kind. He made sure we knew about all the "insider" sales on accessories we needed for our bed. Thanks to his help we walked out with 2 ultimate True Temp pillows with hardly anything out of our pockets. My rating is on the local store, not the company or the product. I went in to buy a bed on a Tuesday. They had a new guy, Jorge, working alone that wasn't very experienced. I asked him to email me some quotes which he said he would get to me Friday. Friday came and went with no emails. I called the following Tuesday and he sent them. I went in to find out more information which he was unable to provide. I asked him to email it to me. Did not receive the email again so called the Pleasanton store to get the information. I went into the Stockton store and Bonnie was working. I told her that I would rather buy the bed from the Pleasanton store than from Jorge. She told me that she would talk to the manager about getting the sale switched over to her. She also tried coaching me on what to say to the manager about Jorge and pointed out that since he was a Hispanic man that he had a hard time taking directions from a woman. By the end of the night I walked out expecting a $5,000+ bed to be delivered the following Saturday. The following Thursday I received a call that there was a delay of about two and a half weeks but they made up for it by waiving the delivery fee as well as giving me free bedding. I told Bonnie about this and she seemed put out that I received free stuff and told me that people usually don't get what I got and there would be no returns or exchanges. I finally received my bed and had a few questions. I called the store and Bonnie answered. I asked her a question about the remote and how to hook up the table lamps so the remote could control them. She told me she didn't know and that I should check my manual or call customer support. I explained that I'm a busy person and would like it if she could find out for me. She told me she couldn't do anymore than I could do. To me it seems that she got he commission on the bed and could care less about my patronage now. The beginning of the shopping experiance was good. Friendly, by the second hour I was getting tired, by the 3rd hour well I was ready to go...after getting quotes we asked what the return policy was and we were told 100 days, the sales person asked another Associate and told the same thing. The whole time he talked and talked. After deciding that we would try this He handed me papers to initial and sign, the whole time still talking about stuff. So before I initialed anything i again asked what the return policy was and he said 100 days. Well just before the 90 days the air portion started not working properly, it was uncomfortable, and very hot. So for almost $9000 we felt we should love our bed. Well we didnt. So I called it to do a return, only to be told that the base of the bed is non refundable. Nor are the mattress pads that will only fit that split mattress as well as charging us a pick up fee and a restock or something fee. I must say this is the worst and I mean worst experience I've ever had shopping for something that was supposed to be an awesome experience....well it was not...I will never shop at a sleep number store again. And as I work for a multi billion dollar company, I will guarantee you this, that I will spread the word ...to them and everyone I know. I work hard for what I buy, and this is something I have saved for for a long time. I feel like I was used for the commission, and lied to for the commission. My husband and I went into the store on Saturday. It was super busy but everyone immediately noticed us and let us know it would be a few minutes and would be with us as soon as they could. Now we just moved to Stockton 3 mths ago and had looked at the store in Modesto. We already knew what we wanted. Nick helped us, looked up our info in the system. He answered all my questions on returns. Went over the cost and payment before we committed. He did mention this store just opened in January, everything went smoothly and Nick was great. We also ordered furniture which he couldn't put on the same 36 mth financing that day, but he would call corporate and get it done the next day. Nick got it done the next day and called me with a delivery date. I havn t recieved my bed or furniture yet. But this store and it's employees have been great read more

I went in there to buy mattress they said 2 weeks I'll have it. Month later stilll don't have it. Every time i call they never answer there so hard to get ahold of. By the time we got fed up we where thinking of canceling it they tell you there's 25% restocking fee. For something they order and don't have wtf this place cons people of your money please don't shop here I'm telling I'm saving you a big time headache and stressful situation read more

This store is a joke. Take your money to another company. I went in was greeted by sales rep kunti was very specific as to what my needs were. The sales rep seemed knowledgeable and very friendly. I purchased my bed. I have no idea if it was a misunderstanding but on delivery day my bed was delivered incorrectly. I thought I had ordered the bed to raise at the head and feet. The bed I got was just the mattress. Confused I called the store spoke w/George and explained my situation. George proceeded to tell me that Kunti makes numerous mistakes and did not know how kunti still had a job there. I thought that was completely unprofessional as he was not a manager and that was not info I did not need to know. A week later I was able to get in contact with the manager whose schedule did not correlate with mine. I proceeded to speak with the manager Nick that was a joke. Basically Nick explained to me that the sales reps work off commission so their goal is to make a large sale. The fact that the base that controls raising the bed was an additional 1700.00 therefore the error must have been mine. I was floored with the lack of customer service. No I'm sorry let's see how we can get this matter resolved so you have The bed you were seeking. For the amount you pay for this bed they should put more professional managers. Due to the unprofessional manner in the way the store handled the error, I elected to return the mattress. You should be careful when purchasing through this store if their main goal is making a commission per the manager. I do have to say the cooperate manager joe was very nice but as I told him the lack of customer service and professionalism of the store made my decision easy. read more
