The guy who checked us in was very nice, friendly and accommodating his name was DJ. No one else spoke when you walked into the lobby area, not one single time. The rooms were clean but outdated and smelled like wet rags, wet floors or mildew. We switched rooms because of how bad the first room smelled and still had to get two air fresheners to place in our room. Smell is so important, you all should atleast look into something to fix the smell that smacks you in the face when you enter the rooms. The ceilings in the hall ways had water stains throughout not sure if that is the reason for the smell but it was pretty bad. We were there for three days and on the third day housekeeping came by around 5pm to clean the room, at that point it was too late but I did appreciate the apology and offer to provide us with the service. We would have switched hotels altogether but I didn't have the emotional capacity to deal with it since we were in town for a funeral! Free breakfast was tasty and the beds were comfortable. But I would not come back.

Yesterday I had a job change and needed to cancel an upcoming stay. I reached out, explained the situation, and asked for any flexibility. The property declined and enforced the full late cancellation penalty of over $600. I understand policies exist. At the same time, loyalty used to come with some level of flexibility. That doesn't seem to be the case here at this property. Disappointing experience and will for sure not come back - the Jordan Creek Courtyard is super flexible though and it reminds me why I always go there. Remember folks - the decisions are always in the hands of the management and the team they train. If they want to, they will. If they don't, they won't.

The pool was clean and brightly lit and honestly beautiful. The rooms were clean and had that extra blanket and pillow in the closet that you always hope is there when you want to feel extra cozy. This Best Western is clearly run by hospitable, welcoming people who know what they're doing. The only critique I have is that the elevator buttons seemed a little old, but they were still working properly. I felt well taken care of, cozy and comfortable, and all at a reasonable price. I would stay there again for sure. I can't wait to have another hot chocolate by their fireside in the lobby. Keep it up, you guys! I had such an amazing time. We'll be back!

The living space had a chair with a foot stool for watching TV or putting on your shoes. It was definitely a nice touch to think of these extras. There were two luggage valets in the spacious closet that we did appreciate. The bed was comfy with a load of pillows. I do wish that hotels would have King size pillows for king size beds. The pillows tends to be small and not very stout. The quality for the cost was great, though we would have happily paid more for a bigger room.

The staff did not seem to think it was a big deal. Aside from that, the room was pretty beat up with scuffs all over and chips out of the cups. The walls were also paper thin. We definitely won't be staying here again and will look for a different Marriott property in the area.
