7/19/25 We stayed…read moreone night at Hampton Inn by Hilton Youngstown-West I-80 as this was about half-way point between NYC and Chicago. It was just a rest stop for us. This hotel was clean and quiet. There were several restaurants around the hotel in walking distance. We had room 301, which was at the far end of the building. Oddly the main entrance is at 1 end of the building, most hotel is in the middleish. If you have issues walking, I suggest asking for a room closer to the elevator. Our king room was huge! It felt like there was a missed opportunity as this would have been a spacious double queen room. Bathroom was at the far end of the room, which was only a little problematic when you really have to go! LOL The coat hangar on the wall is genius for rainy days or even colder weather. The only thing that puzzled us was the lack of dresser/drawer space... Microwave in the middle, fridge on the left, what is that door on the right? We opened it and it was 3 baskets. Was this our dresser/drawer space? Odd... But since we were only staying 1 night we didn't need to use this... Pool but no hot tub, tiny gym, and 1 computer and printer in the business center. Breakfast was included and it was standard hotel fare. We would definitely stay here again, if we do another long road trip.

Clean and comfortable and quiet. Great option for an overnight pass through. The Indian restaurant…read moreacross the parking lot was good for a quick dinner.

Keep on truck'n! We have been staying at La Quinta Inns with our animals while driving across…read morecountry and been very happy. However tonight none could be found. To complicate things we have moving van and car trailer in tow along with another driver. We reluctantly stayed here due to the mixed reviews. Take note ~ believe the low rating!!! Our dog found food behind the nightstand, water at the sink has no flow, privacy lock is broken and weird hair on the bedspread. AND yes the halls smell of urine as another reviewer mentioned .... See our photo's for proof .... Overall- never again!

There is no way this is a 2.5 star hotel! Unfortunately, I could not cancel my reservation since I made it online via Priceline, otherwise I would have left immediately. It was inexpensive, but even then, not worth what we paid for it. It may be one of the grossest hotel experiences we've had. While you can tell that they tried to clean it (the bathroom & sheets were clean), you can also tell that they do just enough to get by. The pull-out bed had no bedding on it, so we saw the mattress was covered in urine stains (it looked like someone stood next to the bed and wet all over it). Needless to say, we did not use that bed. Instead, we requested extra sheets & blankets to cover the couch (which felt greasy and had a cigarette burn in it). The employee at the desk who gave us the blankets was very hesitant to give us more than one because of the expense of washing an extra blanket. The blankets that we did receive had stains on them as well even though I watched the man pull them off of the clean pile of linens in the laundry room. The thin coverlet on the bed also had stains on it. We did check for signs of bedbugs before settling in our room (Room 221) and did not see anything. Thankfully, we did not experience any bedbugs throughout the night and woke up unscathed. Also the walls were covered in grime throughout the hotel, including our bathroom. The room smelled like smoke and there were ashes in the nightstand drawer. The only thing holding the desk together was force of habit; it was incredibly wobbly and ready to fall over. There was a hole in the wall where someone had kicked it and it was never fixed. The breakfast area was a mess and there appeared to be no attendant to keep things neat. There was a waffle burned into the waffle iron, so it was unusable. Milk was splashed across the floor and instead of cleaning it, someone had simply put up a wet floor sign. The breakfast area looked abandoned. We got breakfast elsewhere. We stayed here because we wanted to save a little money. It was not worth it! Next time, I will pay an extra $50 for a clean room that I can sleep in without fear of contracting a disease.

We were just passing thru and didnt feel like driving the full 12 hours in the middle of the night and decided to crash in this city. It was a place to lay down, catch some z's, take a shower, grab some complimentary breakfast and hit the road again early the next morning. The rooms were a bit outdated but clean. We had a 2 queen suite, with the 2 beds in one room and there was also a sitting room with a tv and pullout sofabed. The hotel had a bit of a musty smell, but not enough to bother me. Like I said, everything was older. But I really wasnt expecting luxury because I paid about $70 for the night on Hotwire. We just needed a place to crash. Breakfast was decent. It consisted of the infamous make your own waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, bagels, yogurt, and juices/coffee. Conscierge was ok. We checked in at 2am and at 2am no one is really friendly, so I wasnt expecting top of the line service. Just make my check in process quick and give me a clean room. All that I asked for and thats what was delivered. So overall a good experience for me. I'd stay here again if I were passing thru anytime in the near future.

The bed was a little creaky, but we still slept soundly. The fold out bed was ancient but we made it work. There was a free breakfast but we skipped it to get a little extra sleep. The young man at the front desk apologized for not having gift bags for us because the owner was out of the country. My husband said we'd be happy with bottles of water and he gave us four of them. We got a room upgrade, too, for being gold members of the reward program. Excellent service! Overall, anything that we found problematic is going to go away with the remodeling. We'd be happy to stay here again.
