This place deserves negative 10 stars and do not recommend it to ANYONE. This was way better when it was comfort inn and now has turned into days inn. My room was disgusting. The towels had brown stains on it. Only one light worked in the room out of the three. The tv was plugged in and still didn't turn on. I asked for a new remote and even that remote still didn't work. The blow dryer either had beard or pube hair on it. A lot of guys were drinking earlier and heard someone throw up outside in the middle of the night near our room. Really gross sight to see in the morning near my door. Bathtub looked like it wasn't cleaned and had blonde hair on the wall. This place is terrible and do not recommend to anyone. As I travel a lot, staying in all sorts of hotels, I've usually found the Comfort Inn chain to be a middle of the road average of better of the places to stay. This particular Comfort Inn pretty much fits that mold. On the good side, it is quite, it has a pool and adequate seating for its complimentary breakfast. The one thing I found odd was that in my room the full light block blind or shade didn't cover my entire window, but no big deal. I found the staff to be professional and polite. Definitely one of the worst hotels I've stayed at in quite some time. Pretty bad to say that since I pretty much live in them for my job. You would think during this covid they would spend a little more time on the rooms. I walk into 126 smelled of smoke. Ashes on table near bed. No remote so looking around for it. Pulled table by the bed out. There laying there were two used rubbers. Went to front desk said to move me or money back. Got to second room not much better. Weren't even enough toilet paper to wipe your ass with on the roll. And no spare. Thankfully there was a box of Kleenex. Traffic so bad on the highway side I did not sleep one minute. DO NOT GO HERE! This is now the Days Inn by Wyndham.. Due to an incredibly inaccurate recommendation of this "newly renovated property" I chose to go and book a room last minute. I just needed a place to sleep. Problems: a shattered safety latch on the door (obviously kicked in due to the accompanied hole in the wall), exposed wires where the smoke alarm should be, the beds both had metal protruding 3 inches beyond the mattresses covered by blankets (not sure why), the fridge and microwave had drapped wires and you had to unplug one to plug in the lamp, NONE of the outlets on the lamps worked, rust over all metal parts, the floor was so dirty that after just 20 minutes my socks were almost black, pretty sure the "dirt" on the floor in the picture was blood. Between finding a spot for my truck and trailer and grabbing an overnight bag I was checked in the room for about 45 minutes. Then 10 minutes to get our stuff back into our truck and head to the front desk to cancel our room for the night. THEN I was informed that they would not be refunding my credit card because I had been in their room for more than 15 minutes. Not only that but the dismissive and disrespectful way we were treated as we pointed out the literal safety concerns is deplorable. We are safe across the street at another hotel for the night. Worst hotel experience. Room had not been vacuumed (cereal, a nail, and a french fry) Beds had stains on the sheets and blankets (comforter = two sheets) After being in our room for 10 minutes we hear a beeping sound. It went in for 45 minutes until we could find where it was coming from. It was a smoke alarm, under one of the beds. Why wouldn't it be on the wall? Who knows. Nonetheless, this isn't a place you want to stay if you want a good nights sleep. read more

I am on the road frequently for work and pleasure and stay at a variety of accommodations around the country. My journeys recently took me to the Austintown/Youngstown area and a 2 night stay at The Comfort Inn. Upon arriving I instantly knew I had made an excellent selection for my accommodation needs. I was able to easily find the Comfort Inn from the highway, it clearly marked and easy to access from the main road among the many businesses, stores, and restaurants in the general area. At check in the staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. Apparently they recognized that I was a bit road weary and hungry and offered me a few take out menus that delivered to the hotel. The room was immaculately clean and stocked with all the necessities a traveler would need. There was a large flat screen TV and a work area in the room. There was free wi-fi available and I didn't have to ask for the password as they provided it at check in. There is a beautiful swimming pool and a complimentary breakfast for the guests. I stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites in Austintown this week while passing through. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable, bathroom stocked with toiletries and a flat screen in the sleeping area. The bathroom is en-suite which I prefer when sharing a room. The lobby area and the grounds were very well maintained. There's an outdoor pool and well manicured lawn area in the middle of the hotel common area. Complimentary breakfast included eggs, sausage, pastries, breads and cereal. I was there just long enough to sleep, shower and grab a quick breakfast but it surpassed my expectations. I would definitely return when in the area. Worst hotel I've stayed in, asked for first floor, got room 260. Staff indifferent and rude. Walked in no toilet paper or tissue. Saw smudges on mirrors and other surfaces, then saw trash on the floor. The beds were made but nothing else was touched. Demanded a new room 158 walked in to stains in the toilet tuned out to be wiped off bits of tissue on toilet seat. Went to the car got bleach spray paper towels, every hard surface I cleaned the paper towel was black with dust and grime. These rooms are not being cleaned! If you value your health during the Pandemic pay a few bucks more somewhere else. We have stayed here in the past and it was clean and felt it was a good value. But this doesn't seem to be the same place. Just don't !! read more

Water pressure cuts out middle of showering. When I was locked out of my room due to the card reader freezing up. It took maintenance 2 hours to get the door open. Due to not being onsite. Overall good deal. The BEST price/ place in town for PETS ($15). Local Holiday Inn was charging $200 vs $80 for this Comfort Inn. Microwave, fridge, mints in rooms, plush towels. Safe and clean. Staff is tolerable... not overtly friendly but accommodations are decent. Very hot water, great water pressure and nice shower heads. Good lighting and numerous plugs in room. Solid wifi connection. Laundry facilities consist of one washer, one dryer. Has pool and nice court yard for dogs. Would seek out a room here if in town again. Free breakfast 6-9am. Last night I was supposed to stay at the Comfort inn in Austintown, Ohio room 127. When we got in the room the lights were on, the heat was on, the shower had been recently used, there was bathwater sitting in the bottom of the tub, wet towels spread throughout the room, and a cup with used tobacco spit on the tv stand. First off, this scared us immensely. We were unsure if there was someone in the room when we first opened the door or if someone had access to the room. Second, in the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic we wanted somewhere clean to stay and this room and CLEARLY not been sanitized, let alone mildly cleaned. It was honestly a disgusting and scary experience. We left the hotel in a rush because the entire situation felt unsafe and found somewhere else to stay that could provide us with a clean and safe room. I've never felt like this from a hotel and, especially during this time when we were relying on Comfort Inn, it was a seriously disappointing experience. read more

I travel a lot and hotels are a big deal when you need to sleep. Comfort inn is middle of the road in my opinion. Not to bad, not too expensive. Breakfasts can fluctuate from located to location. This location is a little less than what I'm use to. Still the locals seem to be good with it. As for quiet ? Better than average. At least if you pick court yard room. I stayed at Comfort Inn Austintown last Saturday and had a wonderful stay. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the room was quiet. My check in was quick and easy, and I was very impressed by the room. I was a little worried at first by how close it was to the pool, but there were no problems with the noise of kids playing. I couldn't hear anything outside of the room. A small detail I was very impressed by was the do not disturb sign. Instead of the usual card that hangs on the knob, it was a magnet. There was no danger of it getting knocked off and being disturbed by housekeeping. I didn't spend a lot of time in the room, but the time I was there was relaxing and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit. read more

Had been staying there for 3 weeks when one night after my husband and I were already in bed a STRANGER walked right into our hotel room! The desk clerk had given them a key because their computer showed that our room was vacant! Can you imagine being woke up to that? My husband wasn't at all happy so he went to the desk to find out how this could happen and the clerk "didn't like his attitude"... This is exactly what she said. So she called the police! And we were KICKED OUT of our room at 11:00 at night! ALL BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T LIKE HIS ATTITUDE! Absolutely no concern for our feelings at all! Or our SAFETY !! Unbelievable and unacceptable!! Everything was clean! The room was very nicely laid out and the front staff was friendly. I spent 3 nights here while in town on business, it was a great price for 3 nights, as well as very Easy on/off to pretty much everything. I saw other people on here claiming the experience was very loud even with a fan or noise maker on, however i definitely did not find this to be the case. The only Issue i had (and this was just a personal preference) Could have used a tiny bit more room between the wall and the crapper. Let's start with the qualifiers. First, there was a convention in town and this was the last room left. We were only looking for a bed to sleep in. The good: The room was clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool was small but looked clean. The bad: The parking was about full. The ugly: Some freakin' smoker smoked in the non-smoking room. This is a deplorable place to stay at, totally disappointed. Pillows an bd sheets were super dirty, lamp shades dirty and had lipstick marks all over them. Coffee cups were dirty and had bugs in them, bathroom looked worse than a restroom at a gas station. Property itself looks horrible and definitely has not been maintained at all, pool looked dirty. Recently drove out east for the holidays and we stopped in Ohio for the night, I was a bit concerned when we drove up to this place, it looked a little ---- mmmmm, not so good. My husband checked us in while I waited in the car with our dog. We found our room and as we walked over a pile of rock salt near the door, thinking we were going to need to vacuum, and then the smell hit me. I don't think we were in the room for even 60 seconds and I had a headache from the musty, moldy, filthy smell. It smelled like an old smoky bar with beer soaked carpet that hadn't seen the light of day or a fresh breeze in decades. I happened to be carrying my dog and I'm so glad that she didn't walk on the carpet - I'm sure we would have left with extra critters that night. Oh so very nasty! read more

As a traveling stand-up comedian in constant demand, I stay at a lot of hotels and found this one very satisfactory; for a standard motel set-up (rooms opening up to the parking lot), it was very clean and well-appointed. There also looked to be a fun big breakfast happening-- that I missed. Most of all the area seems pretty safe and the staff was very very helpful, especially well a problem arouse with my reservation, the woman behind the counter went out of her way to rectify it. I've been on tour for 86 days now. Without a doubt, this is the worst, seediest, least cared-for hotel I've had the displeasure of staying in. In short, this place is a dump. A hellhole, if you will. No Wi-Fi... Well, they have it, but it shuts off every 30 seconds. There's a Mexican restaurant next door, if you eat lots of beef. Otherwise you get to eat at the Pilot gas station about a half-mile away, and that's it? The staff here is unattentive, to use a nice word. They don't so much is lift their head to acknowledge you, let alone give you a clean room. In fact, my room had two burrito dinners in there waiting for me from the aforementioned Mexican restaurant next door. And the room smelled like it too! When I asked to be moved I was told "we have no other rooms". Weird, because there were only two cars in the parking lot and it was 10 o'clock at night. Please bear in mind that I did not book this room. That falls on our tour manager. He'll be fired later today. read more

I would stay here again. I stayed here with a friend on our way to Arizona. We stayed here because it was close to I-80 and we had dogs. The room was very clean but a little tight with two dogs and two people. There is really no where to walk the dogs outside and there's no fenced in area to take them off the leash (my dog missy does not like to go on the leash so that was tough for us) . They have minimal grass for the dogs to go to the bathroom on or play at. There were a few people above us who were very noisy so the dogs kept barking and also the people who came in late at night also woke the dogs up as well. The breakfast was very small but good. Not too many options but it did the trick. read more

A disgusting hotel right off Interstate 80 outside Youngstown, Ohio. We had the misfortune of arriving here late on a Saturday night, and a loud band was playing (poorly) outdoors at the adjacent hotel, keeping everyone awake. There were drunks walking all around the two hotels and in the street, and cars parked everywhere, including on all the grassy areas surrounding the hotels. The area seems very sketchy and if it weren't so late we would have continued on. There was no place to park because there were several tractor trailers in the Comfort Inn lot taking up whole rows of parking spots. After we made it to our room we found that the air conditioner didn't work, and the tub was so filthy we didn't dare to set foot in there to take a shower. The carpet outside our door was covered with stains, and the whole hotel complex stinks of cigarettes (including our "non-smoking" room). We complained to the night manager, and all we got was an "I'm sorry". One of the absolute worst hotels we have ever stayed in. read more

Staying at this Comfort Inn was a great idea. Our band was on tour - one night in Cleveland and the next in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It was a long drive between the two dates, so we decided to drive a bit out of Cleveland and hit some place about an hour away. The price was right so we decided on Austintown for the night. It helped us in the morning avoiding city traffic and we were conveniently an hour away from Pittsburgh so we were able to hit lunch there. The rooms at the Comfort Inn were clean, there was a free breakfast, and I made use of the exercise room and the pool. We arrived very late but there was someone at the desk when we arrived and the staff were great. Very painless experience checking in! Austintown felt like a very small town, but the location of the hotel was 1 minute off the highway and it was around places to eat, a gas station, and a couple of stores. Great location, great stay. If people are passing through, this is a great, inexpensive stop between Pittsburgh and Cleveland. read more

Clean outside, nice landscape, plenty of space to walk my dog, decent pool area, small workout room with a bike, treadmill and an elliptical. As a traveling entertainer and tour manager, I have stayed in many hotels around the country. This is definitely one of the better hotels I have stayed at. The location is excellent, 15 minutes outside of Dayton Ohio, and under an hour to Cleveland. In the near vicinity are numerous restaurants, serving a variety of different fare, many of which are open all night. Also in the area are the Harry Truman Monument (he was born in nearby Niles, Ohio) and the Hollywood Gaming Casino, for those who are interested in night time entertainment. The rooms are a great size, well kept and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Every room is adjacent to the awesome pool, which is a huge plus. There is also a full guest laundry making an extended stay a real possibility. The breakfast options are fantastic along with being FREE! From 6am and 9am they have waffles, eggs, bacon and sausage and fruit, cereal yogurt, coffee and tea are available all day. My party and I had a great time at this Hotel and I will defintily stay there again if I am ever in that part of Ohio. read more

Then an hour after I actually got my room my air wasn't working. I went to front desk the lady behind the counter didn't say much and just me a new key.
