Our family has been coming to this hotel for 15 years. The reason for the three rating is purely only based on the establishment itself, and the level of upgrading and repairs that needs to be done. This time we had a room on the fourth floor, which is overall very clean. The only complaint would be the shower may not have been cleaned properly as there were short black hairs all over the shower walls prior to us using it. The girl had to come to the room and reset the remotes for the TV which only happens when they lose signal so not her issue Stop at the front desk was very friendly and helpful The pricing was definitely adequate for the amenities being as outdated as they were There's a continental breakfast in the morning, which you can find some items to suit. Waited at the front desk for a while until someone popped out of the office behind the desk. Lady working the counter was rude, catty, and talked over me. Rather than being more personable, she stated rules about the $50 charge like she was a robot and sounded annoyed when I asked her to repeat it and if I was going to get that $50 back if there was no incidents. I've been on the road for the past three days straight. The last thing I need is someone who can't even offer proper customer service without being rude upfront. I should've read all of the reviews prior to booking. The room also had a weird/bad smell to it. Kind of like mildew. read more

Very disappointing. King room was old and needs updating. Room was freezing but got that under control with the AC. Shower used to have glass doors. They removed those and put a shower curtain with mold on. The shower floor was slanted and slippery. Accident waiting to happen. Carpet felt damp and dirty and needs to be re-stretched or better yet, replaced. The water park didn't allow any water or anything for the kids! And they didn't sell any drinks either. Really crazy. The curtain was falling down so my husband climbed up and fixed it. Not to mention the thin and old towels in room and water park. One last thing. They don't come bring new towels or clean up room unless you stay 5 days or more. That's gross. We won't stay here again. read more

Okay. Came to Minot stayed one night here and had to book another at the comfort inn and suites because this hotel was BAD!! Hair on my pillow and in the shower. My room was as cold as Montana in winter. The water park wasn't even fun, this place is so bad I had to book a new hotel. Old battered and smelly. Located attached to a mall in beautiful downtown Minot. Elevator broken and breakfast definitely not worth waking up for. Not even plain creamer for the disgusting coffee. This place is a dive. I can't believe it can stay open for how disgusting it is. Pool area had black mold on ceiling, the water slides had so much rust and corrosion on them. The handrails were so decayed. Our room had empty booze bottles and sheets and room was disgusting. I cannot believe this place can stay open and pass inspection. If in Minot, I strongly recommend you find a different hotel. read more

Our bathroom had floor molding coming off, the entry door would not line up and lock and the security bolt was snapped in half. And this after being greeted by a dripping ceiling complete with a large mound of bubbling drywall and a trash can on the carpet catching the water. The water park is fun but there is a lot of rust on the slide structure and peeling paint along the hot tub which gives me safety concerns. No life guard at the landing area anymore either. Sagging mattress and non-functioning AC unit prevented us from getting a decent night's sleep (could not cool the room down so slept terribly in warm room -- and on ground floor so couldn't open window as there was no screen). Convenient hotel connected to the mall and water park. My daughter and I stayed at this hotel in June for two nights. The rooms were standard and clean. There was plenty of parking. The staff was friendly. The highlights of this hotel is the beverage bar in the lobby, a bar, and the hallway to the mall, arcade, and water park. There is also a laundry room for guests and free breakfast. There was a very limited gym which included three cardio machines (elliptical, treadmill and stationary recumbent bike) and a tiny dumbbell weight tree with a maximum weight of 25 lbs. During the first day of my visit, the elliptical was broken so I used the stairclimber. On the second day, I wanted to use the elliptical so I decided to fix it. This hotel needs a lot of work. The rooms are needing some attention with upkeep with paint although seemed clean. The air conditioner not working. The ice machine didn't work on the second floor. The two water slides shut down while we stayed and then In the morning all shut down till noon. The bank machine down when we were there as well. read more

I booked and paid for this trip before reading the reviews. The reviews were bad so I was leery of staying here. When I got to the room, I was looking for things to be wrong but I was pleasantly surprised! The room was cute. The sheets were clean and even smelled clean. The bathroom was clean and in excellent condition. There were no streaks or soap scum on the shower door or in the shower. After being there an hour, the light in the bathroom shorted out and they moved us to a new room. And guess what? That room was just as good as the first room! We loved the waterpark! We had 2 two-year-olds, a five-year-old and 4 adults. We had a blast on all the slides, the kids loved the kiddie pool and kiddie slides and they had a giant hot tub. Yes it was old. The pool liner could stand to be replaced as it is stained but not grungy (I checked). If you want a 5 star hotel, then you can pay for it but for the price we paid it was an excellent experience! read more

the water park is the best part of this place. the slides are super fun and the toddler baby pool for the little ones are super fun for the kids! The rooms are not so clean. we found a half drank water bottle on the side of a bed, dried soap scum on the shower door. Our friend had hair in her shower. My sister had their sink plugged when they got inside their room. We all stayed the samw night. we probably will stay in different hotel and come to the water park. was not impressed with the rooms. read more

This is my first stay at the Sleep Inn and my review is a bit mixed. It's conveniently located next to our office and is a preferred hotel with our company. Everyone that comes up from out co. pretty much stays here so I thought why not in Minot! Of course who doesn't love a bar in the hotel! This seems to be a little popular spot. I've been here before and it's cozy and nice. Has a jukebox and several TVs to watch sports. Bar staff is friendly and they have flavored vodka just don't drink the wine. Ok, I may be a wine snob... But really, they only carry Barefoot. That's just not happening.. Ever! Ok, on to my stay. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. My room was clean, the decor is updated, and the bed and pillows are soft and comfy. Flat screen tv and a mini fridge. I can dig it! Other amenities include a free hot breakfast, gym, and an indoor waterpark. Oh and don't forget it's conveniently attached to the mall. Which is great with the winters they have here. Who wants to walk outdoors to the mall.. Right? My complaints are petty.. But here it is. 2nd night of my stay the lights in the bathroom did not work so I showered in the dark. They offered to send the maintenance that night but I would have to wait and I needed to get to bed. It was fixed the next day. Day 3 the toilet clogged up.. No I didn't do anything!! Anyhow, I called and maintenance came within 30 minutes. Overall with the convenience to the office, bar, hot breakfast, and updated rooms I will stay here again. read more

Rooms are big enough. Had a king bed. The shower sucks. At an angle and you slide down if you don't have the mat down. No where to place your shampoo or conditioner on besides I slanted ledge. The walls are paper thin. Heard dogs barking, people snoring, yelling and people walking get down the halls. The pool and slides were a good idea. They have mats in the pool area so you dont slip. Good idea. But they kill your feet they are so hard. Overall a two star. No bed bugs so that was a plus. Strange thing. I booked this room online with choice hotel website. I paid for one room but then when I get there they asked about my second room. I didn't book two rooms. I said I only paid for one and have even the recepit with me. So she took the second room off. Now how did that happen? and what would have happened if they didn't ask who's getting the second room key. read more

Service at the front desk is mediocre. They couldn't give good suggestions to what was in the area and seemed not so happy with their jobs. It may be a prejudice against flight crews, but still. The rooms are nice and moderately up-to-date. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There's a very small water park indoors, which is wonderful for kids. It's tucked away which is nice for noise levels. The exercise room is terrible. It's inside the water park. Dumbbells and running outside are your only option really to work out. Not a good night for anyone in our party. We specifically called for a double queen with a pullout couch, the front office said it would be no problem. While we were checking in the check-in was oddly late so we were told we had to wait an extra 2 hours, which is not common in the area. We finally checked in and we got the wrong room, we promptly went to the front desk where we were told there were no rooms available with what we were asking for. The room across the hall from us, one which a cleaning lady was still cleaning(@ 5PM) was a room with two queens and pullout couch. We were told that we could get a cot for free and a discount. I agreed but still wasn't happy. The cot was never delivered until we called on it. We were told they may have just given away the last one. The cot finally showed up it was 9PM. The room was clean but items in the room were broken and looking outdated. The flip lock on the door was unusable. Baseboard near the door was falling off and the AC was not good at all, it would turn on for a few minutes and turn off before the air got cool, we resorted to opening a window, it was 40*F outside. The remote for the tv could not be read, it was worn out. The towel racks, toilet paper rack, and other chrome-looking items were chipping and/or rusting. Best part of our stay was the continental breakfast. It was cooked well, and had a great assortment. This is the only reason why this place didn't get 1 star. read more

This past weekend me and my daughter and 4 of her friends stayed at the Sleep Inn hotel in Minot. It was her 14th birthday and we wanted to do something special. The man at the front desk told me it would be 179 for both rooms...I verified again it was 179 for both NOT each and he said yes. I was fine with that. But when I checked my account they charged me almost $400 for 2 rooms!!! They are unwilling to refund me the extra money even though they quoted me the wrong price. I am NOT ok paying this much money for a less than 12 hour stay at a Sleep Inn! I will never stay here again because of their mistake and unwillingness to refund me the price of the room and their horrible customer service!!! read more

Have been going to this hotel for hockey tournaments for the last 5 years. This is the first time we have been kicked out of the pool area for having some beverages in the upstairs area. It is no longer friendly for groups of people. Would not recommend it for any group reservations any longer. Used to be a great place for teams etc, but is no longer the place to go. Will now be looking for new options as there is plenty of places to stay in Minot. Heard new management is in place, guess they don't care about customer service any longer. read more

Nice venue for my cousin's wedding. I liked the mini fridge in the room. I thought the beds were uncomfortable-too firm. The walls are paper thin so no one got any sleep while we were here. I knew the names of the strangers next door because I could clearly hear them talking through the walls. My child had a blast at the little water park. Breakfast had lots of choices. The staff were pretty nice. Someone else mentioned the weird ledges in the showers- my soap and shampoo wouldn't stay. And you better stay on the mat when you shower - the shower floor is super slick! read more

First off... Not impressed what so ever. When we arrived to our hotel 1. It looked unappealing 2. Smelled of smoke When we got into our room it smelled of sewer and was hotter then a sauna. They attend to this place as if it were -60 degrees Fahrenheit. When observing the room for any possible concerning factors, unfortunately; many were found. Strands of black hair, and possible blood stains were found on the sheets. My room mates and I addressed the situation to the front desk, and proceeded to leave for six hours. Upon return, no effort for changes were made. Having an unsafe feeling, I had troubles going to sleep. All in all not recommend to anyone. read more

The hotel is okay. My issues with it is that it is extremely noisy and staff would not assist with controlling the behavior of the other guests. We paid extra for a suite and other guests on the same floor were running up and down the hallway, slamming doors, fighting with each other and one puked in the hallway. We made numerous requests to have staff ask the people to keep it down or at least clean up the puke in front of our door. In the morning, the puke was still there. The walls are *paper* thin. If you need to sleep, this is not the hotel to do that in. read more

This motel has a great location. However my family and I have been staying here since it first opened and the rooms are becoming run down. There are some newer rooms on the far end. This last time we had a queen suite and it gives us plenty of room but the floor needs to be replaced, the shower needs attention, and the walls in the room need some new paint. We like that our pet is able to travel and stay with us at this hotel. The water park is awesome for the kids. They have a nice breakfast every morning that has nice hot meal selection, pancake makers, oatmeal, assortment of donuts, pastry, and breads. The kitchen crew is very helpful and nice. In fact the staff as a whole were awesome. We like the hotel but I give it three stars only because it needs updates and this would be a 4 or 5 again. read more

Location is all this place has to offer. We thought we booked a "suite" which in the pictures shows a kitchen , well upon discovering our tiny room, we called the front desk and asked about the kitchen suites , she laughed and said they don't have those rooms here. Those rooms are in their pictures but evidently do not exist. The walls are so thin you can hear everything. We stayed for three nights and had a dog barking from 7 am until late into the night across from us and the the hotel did nothing about until the third day. The vending machine took $6 from us and never gave us anything, the coffee bar is always depleted of supplies, housekeeping showed up at 3:00 after we were gone all morning and then gave us attitude about when we were going to be leaving our room, the bar that closes at 1:00 apparently closes whatever time they choose. Everyone has an attitude here. The rooms smell like animals. The one and only redeeming quality of this hotel is the proximity to the mall and that and that alone is all. We will not stay here again, we've stayed at hawthorn suites in Minot and that was lovely. read more

This is a review on the arcade there at splashdown. I couldn't believe how awful my service was. My son and I walked in to play some games and have a little fun while we waited for someone. The service behind the desk was so awful! We waited over 20 minutes so my son could pick out his prizes. We sat there for awhile waiting patiently but then it just got ridiculous! Little did I know the entire time the girl and boy were just goofing off in there little office (on their cell phones) the front phone rang about three times before they decided to come out of that room and answer it. THEN then girl answered the phone and the boy came to help me saying "sorry she really needs to answer the phone before she helps you" my eyes could have rolled so far lol. I will also say that I leave reviews just about everywhere and usually there good. So I'm not just one of "those" That service was just unacceptable. read more

Doesn't matter they say. Take it up with management. Unless they straighten this out we will never stay here again and will leave at 1 star. Where do I start.......I booked the room online and somehow it was booked for the wrong date. I got a email asking me to do a survey on my stay????? What stay???? I booked my room for March 10th ????? I called right away and they told me that I had to call back the next day which is today. They said I was a no show.....NO KIDDING I WAS A NO SHOW!!!! I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD A ROOM BOOKED 2 DAYS AGO!!!! they said there was nothing that they could do because I got this room "online". I called the online place and they were very nice and call the hotel to get a refund for me as they charged me $133.00 for a room I did not stay in. They also told the online place that they were not refunding me!! what a JOKE!! I was needing the place for March 10-12 so I thought maybe they would credit me on one of those days.....BIG FAT NOPE.
