    Walk in shower
    B H.

Clean, comfortable stay with restaurants within walking distance. I had a king room with walk in shower. Typical complimentary 'hot' breakfast. Accepts pets. Near freeway. The price I paid was a reasonable. They do take pets. Indoor pool and gym.

    Broken latch

Had a credit card auth form on file and they were only suppose to authorize my personal card for incidentals/extra charges. The hotel authorized my card for a majority of the stay causing my bank account to overdraft and making me unable to pay my rent. When I reached out to the hotel ASHLYN stated that it wasn't her fault her night auditor messed up and I would get my money back in 10 business days but that it WASN'T HER PROBLEM if them incorrectly charging my card caused me money issues. Reached out to corporate and am waiting to hear back. Ashlyn also stated that she gets told all the time that she's not a good manager but those are just peoples opinions...sounds to me like all of those people might be right. Add to that, my friend whose name isn't on the room went up to the desk to ask for a key and the general manager Ashlyn just gave it to her without checking her name or asking for ID...that along with a door lock that you can tell someone has tried to force open and I worry about the safety of any woman staying at this hotel.

Well, the pet fee has gone up to $30.00 now. Which makes me wonder if "Pet Friendly" is a real thing with them Or are they trying to run people with pets away. This makes this hotel more expensive than most here. This is sad for me. We have been coming here since 2014 This was my go to Hotel when picking up my grandsons every 8 weeks. I just can't see paying $30.00 for a dog that's sleeps in pajamas. Also the guy at the desk said. "You need to sign this telling you no dogs in pool area or dinning area. This I understand. What I didn't understand was the next statement "and the dog can't be left in the room alone". I asked even if he's in a kennel. He say yes. So we went out to eat had to load kennel and dog up in car. My wife went to Walmart had to load dog an kennel back in car. Went to Breakfast in there hotel... Had to load dog and Kennel in car. We will be back in town in eight weeks to pick up our grandsons I will be searching for another hotel. Oh and the blonde lady at breakfast was awesome as always for her 5 star plus some. The hotel isn't bad. The Pet fee is!!!!

This was the tissue tucked in the peephole.

Ok...so really odd. The hotel itself is nice...nothing fancy, but smells clean & recently remodeled. After checking in my room, I noticed that a kleenex was stuffed inside the interior peep hole of my door...(noted in the photo section.) Ok...? House keeping didn't notice or remove...? Around 8pm, my door suddenly opened. The front desk clerk (who checked me in) was opening my door. I yelled "Whoa whoa whoa" and she stopped, closed the door, and was walking away quickly. I opened the door she apologised and claimed that she "(I) thought we had 2 rooms..uggg....urrrr...." Awkward. Rooms are loud. I could hear doors opening ans closing all night. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 7am. Best part of this hotel was the friendly breakfast employee!

BEWARE! EXPECT ADDITIONAL CHARGES AT CHECK IN. We booked a…read moreroom through the Hilton app for Thanksgiving night at the Manchester, TN Hampton Inn. The online rate for the reservation was $149. I checked the box that I had pets and added the note that I had 2 dogs. There was no pet fee added to the reservation on the app total for the stay. On Thanksgiving, when I arrived for my stay, the front desk agent, Mel, told me my total was $400. I said no - it's $150. She then told me that they charge a $125 per pet fee for bringing pets on the premises. I pointed out that I had included them on the reservation and it wasn't disclosed there and so I would like them to honor the reservation total I booked. She then proceeded to tell me that I could pay the fee or go find a different hotel. I asked if she would be cancelling my reservation then so I would not be charged for the room. She told me no, they would bill me the $150 whether I stayed with them or not because I was past the cancellation window. After much arguing she agreed to charge only $125 for a pet fee and so we ended up paying over $275 for a $150 reservation. Oh - and those 2 free waters you are supposed to get as a Hilton Honors member ....those cost me $8 at this hotel too. According to Mel, they don't participate in most of the Hilton Honors perks and it's their right not to. I called Hilton Honors customer support and Tiara informed me that they allow their operators to tack on additional fees for an abundance of things, which are not disclosed on their app when you make reservations and individual locations can tack on once you are on site. The only way to find out total fees is to call the hotel and specifically ask about their additional fees. Apparently it's a loophole they know some of their operators take great advantage of and they allow it. This is apparently one of those locations. BEWARE. Be prepared for a "bait and switch" that neither Hilton or this Hampton Inn location has any remorse at all about pulling on their customers. They are determined to take your $ - whether you stay with them or not.

Warning: they strictly observe their no late cancelation policy. I called earlier in the day to…read morecancel due to testing positive for COVID, but they refused to waive the bill for the evening even though Hilton corporate intervened to request it due to my being a longstanding Hilton Honors member.

Our check-in was easy and quick, and made us feel welcome. The extremely nice woman at the desk made sure we were well taken care of. When I asked for restaurant recommendations for non-chain restaurants, she took time to give us a lot of options to choose from. Our king rooms were very nice. All of the necessary needs we look for in a room. Comfy king bed with soft comfortable pillows and linens, electrical outlets on the bedside tables, USB ports for charging electronics, refrigerator, etc. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower with plenty of soft towels. Iron/board, hair dryer for our convenience. My only negative about the room was that there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Breakfast was pretty standard, Fruit cereal, waffles, bread and bagels, juices and milk, and sausage, biscuits, and gravy. Not fancy but tasty and well managed by their staff. The hotel has all your basic needs . . . pool, nice little gym with machines, business center, plus a really great, friendly, caring staff. Fair and competitive price too. Kudos to the staff! We ended up redeeming the card on my Birthday in March. We hadn't really been on vacation since the previous Fall so we were excited about spending a night away from the same old, same old. The mill is not hard to get to, between Nashville, just past Shelbyville and before Tullahoma. If you're looking for an alternative to the tourist hotels in nearby Lynchburg you may want to consider the mill as your overnight location. We arrived later in the evening, probably after 4 in fact, and were greeted by Inn owner John Spear. He was just about to take one of the other guests on a tour of the mill, so we joined them! Everything was explained in detail, where the all access kitchen was, how our bathroom had all the original mill nuts, bolts, gears and wheels. We stayed in the Creek room, which has it's own private deck looking out of the woods, and is bigger than any hotel room I've ever stayed in. It has a giant clawfoot tub and the lofted area for the bed is built right in to the rock wall. This room and the Falls room are on the first level. The second level is an antique shop and the mills kitchen and dining area. The third level is Loft another guest room has it's own balcony. We were introduced to Tom Cruise. Yes Tom Cruise...the mill cat. An ancient feline who calls the mill home. He spent the entire night with us in our bedroom sleeping on the rug. If you don't like cats, it's easy enough to shove him out. We settled in for the night. The mill does not have television, dvds, or internet. It's quiet, extremely quiet. They do offer a vcr and television in each room and have a library of old VHS to pick from. We ended up using the claw foot tub, making ourselves dinner in the funky old kitchen and hanging out with Tom. The next morning I saw an owl flying around when I got up super early to the use the bathroom. There I am peeing and an owl is flying around the woods outside the window! We asked to have breakfast around 8am and right on time, John and his wife Mildred had cooked up some breakfast for everyone upstairs. A cheesy potato sausage dish, corn fritters and pineapple. Mildred is one of the funniest people I've ever met. The Spears are wonderful welcoming people with a wealth of knowledge about the area the mill is located in. After a lengthy breakfast discussion we went outside to explore the grounds. Tom Cruise followed us. We took the garden path from our back deck, that leads to the waterfall. The mill sits in a gully that stays quite cool in the hot months, and is situated over a creek. The creek flows through a wild garden area that leads to a huge rock waterfall. It's absolutely gorgeous, although I've added pictures to this review, I really think you have to go and see it for yourself. It's one of the more unique places I've ever been to, let alone slept in. I mean common an old mill, turned in to a bed and breakfast?! Super cool. PS. I heard recently that old Tom Cruise disappeared this past summer, and although he's done that before, they think this time it's for good. Maybe he went back to Hollywood.

As soon as I entered I noticed the large stain on the carpet. Either someone had thrown up or someone had been murdered. Either the housekeeper is blind or they did not think anyone would notice. This was enough to make me leave - the overall run-down nature of the rooms, the halls, pretty much everything made me realize that you get what you pay for sometimes - and this was cheap. I should have known. The real kicker was that I made a reservation right away for the Sleep Inn next door (another Choice hotel) and it was only about $30 more but infinitely nicer!! And - the funniest part - when I checked in to the Sleep Inn I mentioned that I was coming from the Quality Inn and the guy behind the counter said that it was the smartest decision I made all day, and that at night that place is pretty seedy. So - lesson learned and $70 down the drain, but my anxiety is priceless in this case!! I am pretty sure this building was condemned a few years ago and some dude decided to keep it open anyway.
