letter to the Dr:
I recently had an appointment at your office, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to see you due to not having my new patient paperwork with me. It did not sit well with me that your office cancelled my appointment because of this oversite. I was made to feel embarrassed and was treated poorly by your receptionist. I understand why you have this policy, but there is no accountability for it on your end. I called your office on Monday to see if any other times were available for my Thursday appointment. The receptionist said no but asked me if I would be interested in a call if something opened sooner. I received a call later that day informing me there was a last-minute opening for 1:30 on Tuesday. I took the appointment, but she never reaffirmed that I needed the paperwork. She never asked me if I had received it. If anything, she made it more confusing by telling me I had to be there 30 minutes early for paperwork. I wasn't asked if I received my paperwork until I arrived at your office 30 minutes early as requested. I had been waiting to see you for over a month. When I told them that I didn't have it and wasn't sure if I ever received it, she immediately told me I had to reschedule. Again, I understand and appreciate this policy, but there needs to be a better way to disclose it other than seeing it on your wall for the first time on appointment day. I chose you due to the positive reviews. However, due to the situation, I feel it's best for me to move on. I have been inconvenienced by having to find another Sleep Physician, wait another month, and take more time off work. I have a sleep issue that I was trying to see you for, but the lack of information about your policies have left me abandoned. read more
