I had an incredibly frustrating and concerning experience with Slate Aesthetics that I feel compelled to share. After being assured that I had a credit that would cover my service Following a visit to their establishment and undergoing a service, they not only fraudulently charged my credit card once but twice.
In November 2023, I visited Slate Aesthetics for a Jeaveou treatment. During my visit, I expressed concerns about my under eyes, and Forma laser treatments were recommended to me by Danielle, whom I believe is one of the owners. Danielle informed me that 6 treatments would be necessary for lasting results, with each treatment priced at $100. Deciding to pay upfront for all six treatments (simply to hold myself accountable to receive every treatment, which totaled $600 paid up front), I proceeded with subsequent visits for Forma treatments, Jeaveou injections, and brow shading. Despite the considerable investment, I was delighted with the care and attention provided by my aesthetician (I will not mention her name as she is no longer with Slate), who was genuinely compassionate and attentive.
After three Forma treatments yielded no visible results, I consulted with my aesthetician, and we mutually agreed to discontinue the treatments, resulting in a $300 credit on my account. In April 2024, I returned for a Jeaveou injection and used the remaining credit.
To my surprise, later that day, I received a message from my aesthetician indicating that Danielle was displeased and would contact me. Shortly thereafter, Danielle messaged me, stating, "I can't do a 'credit'. This package was purchased back in November, and you paid $600, not the $799... which was deeply discounted... tell me exactly what happened and why you not happy." I promptly clarified with Danielle that I had not purchased a package and reiterated her previous assurance that each treatment was $100. In response, Danielle stated, "I don't remember our conversation, but just because I don't remember doesn't mean it didn't happen... nothing I offer is guaranteed; nothing in the medical field is. I apologize if this was not communicated well on my end."
The next day, I noticed a credit card charge from Slate totaling $320. I filed a dispute through my credit card company and was relieved when the issue was resolved in my favor. Despite this, Slate Aesthetics had the audacity to charge my card again, even after the dispute was settled. Adding to the deceit, I discovered that they had also added my credit card details to their digital wallet without my consent or knowledge.
I also never finished my PMU treatment, I never returned for the second phase I paid for, because of the fraudulent charges and feeling uncomfortable.
Their customer service response was abysmal. This blatant disregard for ethical conduct and customer trust is deeply concerning.
I strongly advise anyone considering their services to proceed with extreme caution. Slate Aesthetics has shown a complete lack of integrity and respect for their customers' financial security. Protect yourself. read more
