We walked in, and there were four employees gathered around talking and a delivery guy getting something signed. We walked in and nobody even acknowledged us. I said "are you open for lunch" and got "yes, go sit where you want." OK. Ordered a scotch egg. Waitress said "if we have any...". Really? It was burnt, which is a shame because the chorizo tasted good. Ordered a black and blue salad. The meat was tough and very unevenly cooked. Some parts nearly raw. GF got an open faced hot turkey thing. They just smashed a potato underneath the turkey. No sour cream, butter, etc. Funniest thing. So many Guinness signs, and yet they serve it from the can!!! The bar looked cool. I guess that is a plus.

Arrived in Branson for three days. Our first day, we were wanting to grab a cold beverage and…read moredecided to go to Branson's Landing and look around. Stumbled on Waxy's. Scored two seats at the bar and settled in. Guys behind the bar were very friendly. We decided on a couple of Peroni's and they were served in the real Peroni's glass. Ice cold and enjoyable. We then decided to split the house burger; we werent very hungry. I asked if they would cut the burger for us....no problem. When they brought out our order, they had the burger halves on seperate plates and had split the order of fries. Nice touch. The burger was very good and bartenders were constantly keeping and eye on us and asking if we needed anything. The pub is a little noisy (we're old), which is to be expected in an Irish Pub. The soccer game was about to begin. It was a great experience and we will return when in Branson. Highly recommend.

The staff was so attentive and recommended dishes for us. I tried their version of a BLT which had a thicker cut of bacon and was so filling! The bread was perfectly toasted and the flavors were great. I could only eat about half of it. The fries were crisp and hot and wonderful. My husband had the Rueben and it was so piled with meat. He also loved it. The waitress even offered us to go cups with our drinks which was an added plus. The music is a little loud but fun songs and the place looks like an Irish pub on the inside. Loved the atmosphere. Glad we stopped by

They also have a kids' menu, even though it is not listed on the regular menu, which is nice to know if you are bringing children with you. The staff is always awesome, friendly, and welcoming. I also love that the restaurant is located inside an old historic hotel, which gives it such a cool atmosphere -- and maybe even a few ghost stories. Overall, it is a great spot with good food, great service, and a fun historic feel. I definitely recommend checking it out.

The setting and interior is nice compared to other lake restaurants with boat access. This time we ordered a couple of appetizers: queso and chips, and gator bites. I enjoyed the gator bites. I didn't love my main dish this time, and I'd probably stick with a burger or something else when I eat here again. My dish (Shipwreck Special?) was a Mexican-style dish of rice, fajita shrimp and veggies, covered in queso. There was just so much cheese that it was all you could taste. And there was a huge oil slick on the plate. Like you sometimes get if you break a sauce or reheat something, or maybe just from melting so much cheese. It made part of it inedible. Luckily, I've had more experiences at the restaurant, and I know that other dishes are better. I remember liking the shrimp trio and maybe one of the barbecue plates. The burgers loked good.
