I have read what some of the reviews people have written, both bad and good. I then went there myself with my sons to see for myself. I have now waited a few months before I decided to I write my own. The facility is top notch. The old machines that were in there from when this place was first built 25 years ago have been replaced with new tunnels, only adding to what this place has to offer. The have a world lass performance/weightroom. Every piece of technological equipment that the Pros use, and even a physical therapy area. Plus, 13 batting/pitching tunnels with each having a hack attack, Lscreen, and batting Ts. I will agree that the front desk staff, usually young high school players are just so so, but they weren't rude, they just seemed like any high school kid. Now the staff, first class. We went in to use a tunnel and hit, about 10 minutes in to our 1/2 rental, the GM walked by and introduced himself and then asked if he could come in and give a few pointers to the boys. He hit with them for 30 minutes and then told us to stay as long as we wanted. Didn't charge us a thing, nor did he try to sell us anything else. I have found that the staff I have dealt with is similar to the ownership. Since then, I have taken my kids to watch some of their high school teams play. It's funny, when you have no allegiance to either side and watch not only the game, but the fans, coaches, and players, you get a real feel for what they are about. What I have seen is they are competitive, well coached, understand the etiquette to the game, encouraging and have expectations of their players and let them know when they are not meeting them. When my kids are ready for that level of play, we will be at those tryouts with bells on! read more

I have to say I initially bought into the narrative about the "evil" slammers. So put our kids in other organizations, & dealt with some of the most self-serving, dishonest people in any arena. So kiddo was invited to a slammers team. After a few months, I'm sick to my stomach that we weren't here all along. Sure it's a business, but I've seen nothing but positive return on our investment read more

To whom it may concern, It's truly is a shame that your coaches are unethical and you allow them around impressionable children. Coach Holzemer was awful at the Triple Crown tournament, insulted our Coach and called him an Idiot. Its fine not to agree but for him to insult people by calling them makes is appalling! We need our children to be respectful, and I and many others are afraid for the children he is coaching.    I would be ashamed if he was coaching my child.  Myself and 10 other parents are going to make sure he is not let into another triple crown tournament and we will be spreading the word about Slammers. Good day. Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device read more

Below is my final email to Slammers. My son was SO EXCITED to be on the team, but after having his hair pulled and called names during practice and games, his love of the game was destroyed. I'd share the recording of the final meeting, but I don't believe yelp allows me to do this. (This, after trying to let my son figure it out himself, then getting involved, moving my concerns up the ladder). I was told the concerns I had "did not happen" and "boys will be boys." Names have been deleted below in order to ensure this post is able to stay up. Hi ****, I have attached a recording of yesterday's meeting with Coach *** and ****. It was my understanding that you were going to attend, not ***. My objective in having the meeting was to share knowledge of our experience so that the Slammers organization could learn from the negative experience that my son had; instead, **** was incredibly passive aggressive and defensive. *** was not open to hear anything I said (if you listen to the recording, you can confirm for yourself). I am a strong believer that if one person identifies an issue and communicates it, there are likely several other individuals who have had similar experiences, who are not communicating their experiences. Also, Coach stated in the meeting that his team should come to him- my response is, if as a new team member you don't know your coach, and don't have faith that change will happen, why as a young man would you continue to come to the coach? I wonder if the lesson of "boys will be boys" is on me, based on the conversation? I also wonder if I was a man if the conversation would have gone differently? Food for thought. Sincerely, **** read more

I would give 0 starts if that was an option. I've been to Slammers three times now, each a worse experience than the last. You will wait 30 minutes to either use one of their two broken batting cages or get lazily helped by the underwhelming staff. I would rather play baseball with my cat then at this rubbish establishment. read more

Indoor baseball batting range with 5 cages (2 softball). They also have training programs and youth league information. It gets busy on the weekends and $10 buys 8 tokens (16 pitches each). read more

12 AAA Slammers head coach Andy Wells has ZERO class. This guy was kicked out of a consolation bracket game for a multitude of reasons. His actions don't teach kids how to play the game, and certainly don't coincide with the "Slammers Mission statement". Instead of coaching, he and the parents show up to complain, bicker, and verbally abuse umpires instead of playing ball. This bunch makes coming to the diamond an unpleasant experience for everyone else involved. I would highly recommend your children play elsewhere. At the end of the day, whining and crying get you nowhere in life but in the consolation bracket. read more

My son is 16 now and has been playing on slammers teams since he was 9. The coaches he has had as a youth and high school player have been outstanding. There are other baseball organizations in the area but there is a reason many of the best players play at Slammers. They have great coaches and the owners really care about the kids. A sports organization this big is never perfect but Slammers makes up for any flaws with excellent coaches, caring owners, and great baseball families. read more

Drove all the way over here during normal business hours. Stood at the front counter for about 15 minutes with no one helping me. Finally, I asked a lessons coach who was working with a kid and they said Slammers is technically closed because they're doing a golf tournament. No signs that say so, they didn't adjust their hours online and I wasted a long drive over here to check it out. Two thumbs way down. read more

After umpiring youth sports for the last 10 years, I can honestly say I have not come across a worse organization than Slammers. It is astonishing at the lack of respect they give the game of baseball and It all starts with the coaches, then ultimately trickles down to the parents. Every time a slammers team shows up to play, I am forced to accept the fact that I am in for a living hell. Whether they are 10 years old, or 14 years old, Slammers has done a fantastic job of duping these parents into thinking that their son is the next Derek Jeter. Someone has to say it, but most of these kids should be on lower level teams where their parents don't have to waste $3,000 on some crap organization with coaches who are literal psychopath's. Let your kid actually enjoy the game and please look elsewhere (anywhere) if you are considering signing up your child for youth baseball. read more

My son has been playing on a Slammers team starting his 3rd season and it has been great! His growth and development has been remarkable as well as his enthusiasm for the game. The camaraderie with the team and Slammers coaches create a fun and welcoming environment. The program they have put together is first in class! That said, they are a group of high achievers and VERY competitive. As you can imagine it sometimes gets the better of them with arguing a call or too much passion on the field which is understandable. They do respect the game and the kids and it shows. I would highly recommend the program for anyone looking for top notch skill development. read more

Is there a "no stars" option? Hands down the worst place for baseball and (we've played a lot around Denver) and here's why: $175 fall league registration for NOTHING. Four games in and we still don't have jerseys. No practice field provided. Heck, not even game balls are provided. No coach for our team. So forget the coaches who have minor league experience. A few Dad's had to step up (who thankfully have coached their son's on other teams before!) in order to even play the season-which might I add only consists of one other team in our "league" so then our Dad's banded together and worked to combine us with a league in Castle Rock. One of the Mom's called around (after we were kicked out of the Slammer's practice facility after one practice because they had double-booked the field) and secured a field in Highland's Ranch at a school-which is totally cool as long as we remember to bring our own balls. I guess it could have been worse-we could've gotten the batting coach at Slammers that basically makes every kid hate life through his screaming and talking down to the kids. He works the front desk a lot and I had been told by numerous people across different social circles to avoid him at all costs. Apparently, he has ruined the joy of baseball for many kids. I am so very grateful to the Dad's who stepped up to coach our team and salvage this experience for the boys. This was our first experience with Slammers and we'll never go back. read more

Slammers Baseball is hands down the best baseball and softball training facility in Colorado and they've got stats to prove it. The businesses well structured and the coaches genuinely care for everyone's kids and want to watch them succeed and help in any way they can. This place is SUCH a gem- such a great vibe inside. If you are contemplating putting your son in baseball please look no further, slammers has got you covered! read more

Intense training!!!! Always welcoming and friendly to my kids. Instructors seem to know all the 300 campers names and works individually with each player. read more

We just got home from a baseball tournament where we played Slammer's top team, coached by the President of Slammers, Mark Holzemer. Our team was getting crushed by his team, and so he eventually instructed his team to walk between the bases, so we could get them out easier. It was ridiculous. Our coach kindly asked what he was doing, that we just wanted to play baseball. There was no need for them to stop playing/running. Mark yelled back that he wanted to get all of his innings in. Then proceeded to call our coach an idiot multiple times. He even stooped as low as calling him a F***ing idiot. This is 13 year old baseball. All our kids were watching this. I have zero respect for this man and his organization. I will never recommend a friend to play for slammers and I will never take my son there again for batting practice. I can't help but wonder what other bad behavior they are teaching their players. read more
