It started off with a nurse asking me some very personal questions in a ver rude impersonal way. No polite bedside manner whatsoever. When the nurse practitioner came in, apparently I had answered one of those questions wrong and she proceeded to tell me that I needed to be on antidepressants. I told her my knee hurt. She said "here's your prescription for Zoloft" and that was the end of it. My knee is still bothering me, I'm definitely not taking the antidepressants, and I'll be looking for a different primary care doctor. Too bad I wasted my one physical a year through my insurance so I guess I have to wait a year to get my knee looked at.

Not only is he a thorough, compassionate physician, but truly seems to care for the kids that he treats and gives THEM the opportunity to explain to him what they are feeling and how they are affected. I have twin 17 year olds and most pediatricians are barely approachable or reachable, and, most seen only focused on the parent, not the patient, but not Dr Hassett! He gives the patients his number and access to him with any questions and wants them to keep in touch with him anytime that they need help or guidance. Five stars and more for Dr Hassett! CHEERS!!!

He is thoughtful about starting with lifestyle, exercise, diet, physical therapy, blood tests, stress reduction, before prescribing medicine. He refers us to specialists when it's appropriate, and he will reach out to his contacts and colleagues when there is something worth getting some additional expert information on (such as should one undergo genetic testing if aunts on a father's side have breast cancer). I've challenged him about his advice or recommendation, and he talks with me and helps me understand his perspective and the options. He is genuine, not in a rush, and a very kind person. My husband's life has been saved by Dr. A. No one is perfect, of course, but Dr. Andrecyk is a great doctor.

I went back last week complaining that the problem with my legs had gotten worse. The normal procedure with this ailment is to check Iron levels to make sure there isn't an iron deficiency. No iron test was preformed as he stated my symptoms didn't require it. I have suffered with restless leg syndrome for years and Iron testing is standard procedure. Be forewarned this is a dangerous way of dealing with client ailments.
