If you want to get pleasant, quiet sleep, do NOT stay here. Dear lord, I don't know if this is just a sign of aging but I'd like to be able to sleep before 11pm without hearing drunken antics and subwoofers booming and echoing through the streets for the entire night.
The suite itself isn't so bad but it's not as luxurious as they describe themselves to be. The lobby has a nice modern touch, complete with a pool, jaccuzi, and a gym (6am-10pm), but don't expect much else. There's no room service since it's a suite, so I'm not dinging them on that. There's a washer and dryer, dishwasher, utensils/dishes, fridge, toaster, and an electric kettle.
The floors were not clean and despite it being a smoke free hotel, I can see a cigarette burn on the carpeted area clear as day. I would not walk bare feet in any hotel anyway, but this one in particular, I'd bleach my feet if I inadvertently touched it. I just get a sense that it's not cleaned well so the icky feeling was hard to rub off. I legit boiled water and tried to sanitize as much surface area as I could. It's a short walk to the office, but other than that, there really weren't any perks for me. I'll be here another week so I'm not thrilled about my Sydney leg of the trip. Can't wait to go back home. read more
