My husband and I loved livng in Skycrest for the past several years! We were fortunate enough to move in to the Dover floorplan which is super private since you are on the 2nd floor above garages and on the end. We didn't have any neighbors above, below, or on either side! We only shared one wall with neighbors and never heard any noise. Skycrest has beautiful trees, a resident owl that shows up occasionally, rabbits and squirrels that run around, and is very quiet. We loved walking our dogs and talking to friendly neighbors and using the gym and pool. Rudy is an amazing maintenence tech and was always super helpful and fun to talk to... gonna miss him very much! We are moving away to be closer to my ailing mother but otherwise we would have stayed for many more years Our 2 bed/2 bath Dover unit is available 2/14/25 ! read more

Disgusting, illegal grease truck somehow allowed to operate and be parked near residents (Dec 2025 through to current day.) Wafting odors of toxic waste waft into our window. Resident relations do nothing but gaslight saying a toxic illegal unlicensed commercial diesel truck isn't violating anything. Wanna live next to Commercial Waste Truck? Paying 2-3k to basically get sick and die. Zero enforcement, lots of passing the buck among the front desk clerks. A no integrity operation. AI is used for issues, so imagine, you're in your new place and something happens. You chat with an AI. Then the next day employees that pass the buck. read more

I feel absolutely wronged by Skycrest and Equity Residential. I recently moved out earlier this month and just received my Statement of Deposit Account (S.O.D.A). I have lived here for the past 3 years, and they are charging me to replace the carpet. It is at least prorated for the 2 years remaining because they believe white carpet should last 5 years. I am going to ask to see the new carpet I am paying for, how does one know they even replaced it. I took pride in keeping the carpet clean, even though it was the lightest shade of off-white. I now feel like that is their scam, they purposely pick the lightest carpet so they can most assuredly charge you upon moving out. Also, within a week of moving in, my kitchen sink had sewage backup flooding my kitchen and dining area carpet anytime the neighbors would use their sink. It just kept flooding, and maintenance would not respond. Over 60 hours later a plumber came and was shocked they let it go so long. Maintenance apologized and they would have my carpets cleaned which never came. I shampooed the carpet best I could but I'm sure they knew it was another way to charge me for carpet. I do believe it was designed that way to have the current resident pay for the replacement carpet for the new resident. I'm sure an attorney would find a pattern of this egregious behavior. Management will never answer the phone outright; everything goes to voicemail and maybe you'll get a call back within a few days. Up until recently, they weren't even on site, they stayed at another location. Maintenance requests would take weeks and in one case over a month to get a new washer. My washer broke after a few loads. I initiated so many requests, but they would never come. In the meantime, I'm washing clothes at the laundry mat. After this experience I never placed one more request. My heater never worked from day one. I never bothered because I don't like using the heater and having to put so much effort into getting something fixed was exhausting. On another note, they like to increase the rent annually for no other reason than they can. No community improvements, just increase it. They tried to raise mine $200 more than what they were offering the empty apartment next to me. Absurd!!! I called Equity Residential and asked if I could move next door, they said no, but lowered my rent to like $20 more than the new apartment for rent. So please, during renewal, check what other apartments are going for and don't be afraid to negotiate with these crooks. Even upon moving out, they asked me if I would stay if they lowered my rent. Here's an idea, why not raise it in the first place. Learn from my mistakes, read the damn agreement because they will come after you for anything over the deposit and if you don't pay within 30 days of moving out, they immediately put to collections. Also, take pics. I left in a hurry and forgot to take videos. Lastly, the pool is really cold all the time. read more

When we moved here, we question if we had made a decent decision. There was dog feces and a horrible smell, a bee hive forming, and of course no parking for two cars. I give 5 stars for the maintenance guys, they were always available to fix any maintenance issues we had in our apartment. I thank my neighbors that help clean up the area from the dog smell. Unfortunately, those neighbors move so the smell returned. I thank the firefighters who well called someone to remove the beehive. Unfortunately, I have to give a 1 star for parking. We have two cars. Although, we paid to have a garage, the fight to park our other car in an available space was a nightmare. Most folks have to park by the red curb. If you don't move your car from the red before the Cart guy shows up, you get a sticker on the window for towing. I felt trapped in my apartment most days because I did not want to lose my parking space. We finally decided to move because we started to get folks that would smoke marijauna in the vents. Sometimes the smell was unbearable, we would have to open our windows and run the AC to get the smell out of our unit. I have severe sinus issues, so this would just drive me crazy. I know the law allows for those to have their cannabis, but there is a thing called courtesy. Also, I know that this apartment complex does not allow smoking inside the building. For the parking and the marijauna issue, I had to knock the score down. All in all, we were fine with our unit. read more

At a time when she was going through the worst part of her life, faced with a lot of uncertainty about what her future holds, she went on and on about how Brittany was there with her every step of the way, and made her feel like she was completely supported. We are very happy to have moved into Skycrest! Brian, the office manager, was great and supported us through the whole application process (which can be daunting to say the least). He persisted to get us moved in asap, since our lease in our old place was ending. He immediately learned our names and what we needed in our new home, and worked hard to make it all work. We have been here about 2 weeks and are already loving it! Beside Brian being an excellent manager, the maintenence team is very responsive and knowledgeable, and got the few things we needed fixed in a very timely manor. The location is excellent, we have walked to the store, the park, and a few restaurants. The other tenants are friendly and considerate. I had a great experience living here. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment with my boyfriend and our dog. This is definitely a pet friendly place, and I'll miss my morning and evening walks around the complex, as well and living close to many parks around the area. I felt safe walking at night around here. The placement for this complex is very convenient, as we had access to a number of grocery stores, you are close to a Target and a Walmart, and you're a quick drive over to the 5 freeway. The complex is clean and quiet. Definitely never had any complaints. Any maintenance issues were quickly resolved, and the staff there are friendly. The only reason we are moving is because we are moving into a house, which has been our goal. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

Management doesn't seem to respond to my emails unless I post here so here goes. We received our bill for the water and trash and was surprised with an increase of almost $20, not sure why so I emailed the office 2/21 and have yet to here back. I emailed Samantha, Charlene and Ken and not one responded. We did get an email 2/17 about some water main leak repairs but nowhere in that email did they mention our water bill being affected. read more

I would prefer if they cleaned the outer walkways a little more often, but it's a lot nicer than many other apartment complexes in the city! Skycrest's staff is amazingly helpful, friendly, courteous. Other places could not cater to our situation as much as Skycrest did. One place left us hanging for more than a week! They helped us through our application process and in a flash we were approved and ready to go! This community is so clean and so friendly towards pets. I have been living here for three years now, and just want to say that the service that I have received when maintenance was required, has been amazing. Recently, I had a problem with my bathroom light. Javier was at my door within an hour of my posting my request for service. He not only fixed my light, he also got new bulbs and put them in. Then, my air conditioner stopped running, and Samuel/Cesar responded immediately. A new air conditioning unit had to be ordered (and, or course, this was on a weekend when we had over 100 degree weather), so he brought over a commercial portable air conditioner until a new unit could be installed. The old ac was replaced and up and running within 24 hours. And, Cesar came by the following day to make sure that all was well. The team here is really great, and Cesar always goes above and beyond by smiling and saying Hi whenever you see him. There are always issues that go on when living in a large complex, but here at Skycrest, their customer service really stands out. read more
