The views are amazing at this accommodation in Sedona! It's pretty hard to get to and just be very careful driving up and down the hills but it's so nice up there. The grounds were very clean, the room itself was very clean but the A/C started leaking water an hour into us checking into the room. Check-in process was pretty easy and they have coffee, tea and water in the front all the time. Bathroom was super small and the beds were comfy enough. Our bed had a huge dip in the middle so we were sliding to the middle more but the pillows were firm enough. We stayed for 5 days and they cleaned our room every day which was very nice. We also got to enjoy the jacuzzi and pool for a day. The food truck only had a few options but it was nice to have. Walk to the scenic view point right outside the lodge and take some awesome pictures, totally worth it! read more

This hotel is located above Sedona and offers incredible views of the valley below. If you are fortunate enough to stay in one of the north-facing rooms, you can enjoy a spectacular 240-degree view from your balcony, with some of the most beautiful colors Sedona has to offer. The views are also impressive from the paver stone patio located on the northwest side of the property. The front desk staff was top-notch--friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of our garden view room, and the property was well maintained. After a long day exploring Sedona, the pool was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Parking was plentiful and convenient. One of the biggest advantages of this location is the ability to easily walk to the Airport Mesa Trail and the nearby Airport Vortex area. Overall, this was a wonderful hotel experience with an amazing location, beautiful views, and excellent service. You will not be disappointed staying here. read more

We loved our stay here for the views, the comfort, the service and the stunning vistas. In short, this is an awesome place with easy access to hiking and a great cafe with equally stunning views. It was peaceful and quiet with clear night skies. We loved our time here and plan to return in the coming years. read more

The most amazing mountain top lodge! Such a cozy feel with the most awe inspiring views. We visited several years ago with our child and were so in love with our cozy cabin, Mountain View facing private patio and little details such as games and books to check out from the office and the little patio bar that opens at night. All the beauty without the crowds and congestion down below. Can't wait to return! read more

After an amazing drive from Scottsdale to see the Grand Canyon, my family thought the day couldn't get any better. "We're not done yet," I kept telling them. We pulled up to Sky Ranch Lodge about 30 minutes before sunset. They couldn't believe how cute it was. And then their jaws dropped when they saw the view from our room. We loved the food, the pool, the covered porch where we ate dinner and played cards. It was a fantastic place to finish our Arizona trip! read more

Sky Ranch Lodge has one of the best views of Sedona and locate on a table Mesa to make it more appealing. My husband and I stayed here over the Thanksgiving Week. They are dog friendly and so is the nearby Mesa Grill Restaurant. They have helicopter rides nearby also for the enthusiasts. There is a popular look out point and the sought after views are spectacular. read more

This place is horrible. We got there and tried to leave. Air conditioner broke in bedroom, tiny bathroom. The property was unkept not pretty. The pool was filthy with no vacuuming, no skimming. The covers on lounge chairs were so dirty we could not stay. There is only a couple of people working at property. No bar just a camper sells drinks. It was so bad. . read more

It was a wonderful day at Sky Ranch Lodge. My husband and I enjoyed watching the sunset, and the room was extremely comfortable. The bed was amazing, with hotel-quality pillows, and the shampoo and conditioner were high quality. The bathroom was very spacious, and the shower was so calming--it felt like a gentle rain shower on my scalp. Everything about our stay was relaxing and comfortable. We came to celebrate a 50th birthday, and it was truly an amazing experience. We're from Texas and absolutely loved our stay here. We highly recommend it--come and stay here! read more

Had a great time in Sedona. Nothing fancy but great views and location. The food truck was a good option. Service at food truck is slow.

Had good stay here. Room was nice and service excellent from hotel staff, housekeeping and on site dining. Only issue was with the TV signals poor connection while attempting to watch programs. Great location and highly recommended. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! Update - I called the hotel as recommended to speak with Dahlia. I explained the situation and she said they checked and the system was functioning. When I asked her to confirm that she was saying the air turns off and you cannot use the fan or get any air circulation once it reaches the set temperature, she became very short with me. I have NEVER stayed in a hotel that doesn't allow you to have air circulation in the room! When I expressed my shock that this was the answer, SHE ARGUED WITH ME AND ACCUSED ME OF THREATENING HER STAFF. I may have let a curse word slip due to frustration and exhaustion in the moment when I was asking why the (blank) the system WILL NOT give any air, but I never threatened anyone - she said I said I would get them fired. She then refused to give me any refund, told me I could email the GM if I want, AND HUNG UP ON ME. RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, AND UNPROFESSIONAL, DAHLIA! I WILL NEVER COME BACK AND I WILL ACTIVELY SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE TERRIBLE & DANGEROUS CONDITIONS AT THIS HOTEL AND THE RUDENESS OF YOUR STAFF! I plan to advertise this in every possible way. I am totally disappointed. This would have been a 5 star review, but I have had NO SLEEP FOR TWO NIGHTS DIE TO LACK OF AC IN THE DESERT, IN SUMMER! The hotel is beautiful and charming, has the best location and view. Amenities are nice and the beds are comfortable. HOWEVER - the cooling system is beyond complicated and the AC TURNS OFF whenever the selected temp has been reached, then it starts getting HOT. It must take an electrical engineering degree to figure out how to get it to come back on - and no matter what, there will be NO AIR FLOW until you fight with the insane remote and wait about 15 minutes to get it to come back on. Then you get to do that again about every 45 minutes - ALL NIGHT! I had almost no sleep my first night then had someone from the staff show me the way to get it to work in the am so I would be sure to sleep tonight. I was so tired on my one day in Sedona that it was difficult to enjoy. I have a 7-8 hour drive home beginning at 5:30 am. it is now 1:30am and I've been up 3 times already dealing with this since I went to bed. I Just had the front desk person come turn it back on after another 15 FRUSTRATING and sweat minutes trying to GET AIR FLOW IN THE ROOM. Matthew at the front desk spent about 5 minutes figuring it out and said it SHOULD stay on now. I'm so upset - hoping I can relax enough to fall asleep at some point so I'm not dangerous on the road. Again - this would be an awesome hotel UNLESS YOU NEED TO SLEEP. If you can sleep in stifling heat, or don't need more than 45 minutes of consecutive sleep at a time with about 30 minutes of sweating frustrating in between, this may be the place for you. UPDATE - 3:04 AM - Air turned off AGAIN. Went to front desk VISIBLY SWEATING and Matthew is now here again trying to get it to work. And after telling the staff all these times about this being a real problem, they have not even said one word of apology or empathy for this unacceptable situation. I could not be more disappointed - and this room was expensive! It was supposed to be a treat, and instead it's a nightmare. I am still wide awake at 3:45am and getting very worried about my safety and ability to drive home to San Diego tomorrow after 2 sleepless nights. DO NOT STAY HERE. read more

We loved our stay here. Our spacious room was very cozy and comfortable with a good mattress and an assortment of pillows. The heater was quiet. Small fridge and sink and dishes ..more like a mini efficiency with a little dining area and a lovely outdoor patio. Bathroom was clean and fairly spacious with great smelling toiletries. The shower was a little weak on the water but we were in a desert after all. We had people staying next to us but it was quiet and easy to sleep. Very clean room with efficient and excellent daily maid service. The fireplace was cozy and much appreciated on the cold nights. Front desk people were helpful and very friendly. We didn't partake in any of the happy hour specials here... too busy. I think the best thing was the view from our room. Just fabulous. No food here but right next door is Mesa Grille overlooking the airport which had amazing breakfast options. Never got a chance to see the pool or gardens. Thought the price was totally reasonable. I'm not getting these negative reviews here. This is in a great location next to the airport...we never heard or saw any planes the three days we were here. The view is amazing and you have a couple hiking options right outside the door. I'm very fussy about hotels and we just loved this place and if we come back to Sedona, we will definitely stay here again. read more

The hotel location is excellent! Inside is all remodeled with new amenities. Outside is the same with a tv as restaurant extensions.

Stayed here one night during my birthday trip to Sedona and loved it!! Beautiful grounds and friendly front desk. The little airstream out front to order a small bite to eat and wine was a great touch because I didn't want to venture back out after coming back from hiking. Would definitely stay here again! I have been to sky ranch several times over the years with my husband. We just spent a few days there and the place is starting to go downhill. The bed we slept in is sinking in on both sides and both my husband and I slept terrible. I usually like to stay by the pond and garden area and noticed that the grass is not being maintained. The rooms definitely need a makeover along with getting new beds. The housing on the mini split air conditioner was broken and the air conditioning barely worked. read more

I've stayed here 20+ times...I definitely recommend, howeverrrrrrrrrr... Ask the front desk if there is a wedding before booking your stay.. ask for a rim view room or garden room ONLY. If you stay in the rooms at the back of the property you will encounter tarantulas, roaches, crickets, and all kinds of other desert wildlife you truly DONT WANT TO. The beds are firm but cozy. Hot tub is tiny so not much privacy if you're wanting an intimate experience with a love or even a sister. The excess of tourists in Sedona since Covid has caused an extreme increase in cost without any improvement.. including the type of people that stay at this place. Pet friendly, which is awesome. But as with all other places in Sedona, not many locals to choose from as employees so you get what you get.. Be specific with your requests and don't forget to ask about weddings and you'll enjoy your time here. read more

I find it mind boggling that the current stars are 3.8. This place was absolutely amazing. There is not a thing I would change. The people were so friendly. It had so much to offer. If yelp ever moves to 6 stars, I will come back to this review and add one. read more

This lodge has fantastic front desk employees and the grounds are pretty. Not worth the $400.00 a night charge at all. There is no restaurant, the heating and air is one of those units that either freeze's or burns you up and it's loud. The hot tub is mediocre, the pool was closed for the season, the bar had plastic panels hanging around it to keep the cold out and the people above us were up very late and we could hear every step they made. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows are small. The website talked about the beautiful views but we could not see them from our room. I also asked the front desk guy to please put us close to the hot tub and it took us a little while to find the tub. I don't think we could have been further away from the hot tub and it's not easy to locate. If these issues could be fixed I would recommend staying here. If the issues can't be resolved then I would recommend the lodge to lower the price. will say we stayed there on New Year's eve and maybe they raised their prices for the holiday. There are many choices in Sedona for $400.00 that are so much better for your buck. read more

Loved our stay. Value for money. Best sunset location. Clean rooms, great views, very friendly staff. Can't wait to return The beds are like sleeping on water beds. Really weird mattresses, however, if you lay yourself in the middle (not easy when 2) its perfect. Coffee filters in room need a good clean and still don't know where the water goes. The Ac is noisy but works well. Megan and Brian were so accommodating. I shall return again .... read more

Unashamedly sounding the alarm with this review on as many platforms as possible. You can have the best views in Sedona and beautiful grounds with good amenities...but if you have cockroaches how can I give anything but 1 star? I caught it, took it to the front desk, and was told, "this is a botanical garden, we have insects." Mind you, there were no other kinds of bugs in the room. I was told they spray insecticide twice weekly and was offered for maintenance to come and spray the room - but I said no since I had two sleeping children. The night shift at the front desk made a note and I said I would follow up in the morning upon checkout. The morning shift front desk worker was less concerned and apologetic compared to the evening employee. The morning shift could even be described as adversarial since they knew I had already raised the concern. They refused to offer any kind of compensation or reimbursement since I booked "with a third party." But that third party was Amex Platinum Travel - not Expedia or Travelocity like they told me. Still, they couldn't do anything so I had to reach out to my credit card company. I had to go through an Amex employee to get a compensation offer. The first one was a 22% reimbursement. I rejected that and asked for more. They went back and I got a 39% offer. I asked why we had to go back and forth and why wouldn't they just offer me the maximum amount they were authorized to do so and save the time and hassle. Well apparently that was the maximum so that is what I got. But I think it should have been a full refund. That's why I'm writing this review. I would trade the views for a cockroach free room - wouldn't you? read more

My friend and I are visiting Sedona for the first time and our experience at Sky Ranch has been wonderful! The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, the ranch itself is gorgeous, and the location - though it might seem a bit remote - is worth it for the views alone!! Folks staying in town drive up and pay to park just to see the vista that's right outside our door. And while we may not have a car with us, the hotel shuttle has made it so easy and convenient for us to get around town. Special shout-out to Damian and Larry, our drivers, who are as kind and accommodating as it gets! read more

Ahhh I wanted to like this place but we wish we had gone elsewhere. It's beautiful and nice, do not get me wrong but we had a few meh moments. For starters, the toilet didn't work upon arrival and we had to get assistance. THE ENTIRE PLACE WAS EMPTY and we felt like we were a "burden" with the annoyance we felt asking for help. Secondly, we went to dinner after a 4 hour drive and came back to crash and the tv didn't work and we were told it takes 15-20 minutes to reset. By this point, we just crashed and lastly, again, the entire place was empty (maybe 3 cars) and I 100% get that we paid for a certain room, (I wanna say like $230 a night-ish like more than enough for a decent upgrade IN AN EMPTY HOTEL) but why not upgrade us to the exact same room just with a nicer view on Christmas Eve Eve? That alone rubbed us all the wrong way but I get.. you get what you pay for but an empty hotel...come on. We all agreed it was ok but we wish we had stayed somewhere else for that cost. Positive: The pillows were bomb!!! read more

Overall not a bad stay but for the price I would have expected a little better. Stayed five nights. Pros: AC worked great. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and lots of pillows. View was beautiful from the wedding patio area. Pool was nice (small, only 5 feet deep) but had lots of places to sit. Comcast to the TV was nice to watch shows off my phone. Cons: no breakfast. No view from the room. Be very clear on the room you want. Two story rooms can hear every little noise. Fridge did not work well. Toiletries were not good and toilet paper was rough. Bar area did not have cold drinks. Glass out of their fridge was warm and made the drinks warm. Confusing to walk around and made finding where you were going a bit difficult. read more

I came here as a member of a wedding for the first time in my official capacity as the Flower Boy. I must say I am bit turned off by any sleeping arrangement that uses the term "lodge" in it. But I must say this location did not disappoint. The staff was extremely friendly, the views were amazing from my balcony, and you can walk right down to a quick hiking trail from the lodge. As one of the Most important members of the wedding party I must say collectively we all felt like the rooms were comfortable, cool (because it gets HOT depending on time of year), and cleaned daily. Nonetheless, this may be the first lodge I would be returning to. Pro Tip: get a room with a view and you'll find a new appreciation for sunsets! read more

I want my money back. To make long story short, I visited Sky ranch lodge on May 31 for 1 night, traveling with my friend from Europe I told him that he will see the most beautiful view of Sedona from a beautiful patio at sky ranch lodge. Haw was my disappointment when we learned that we are not allowed to go there because they have wedding. nobody told me about wedding scheduling for month of May at time of reservation. Charging $ 360 for 1 night without the view from patio is unacceptable. we stay in the room at the back of property with view on dirty pond and dirty garden is also unacceptable. I left message for SRL manager to contact me. Still waiting for his or her respond. this is why I can give anything but 1 star? read more

The property is gorgeous and the staff is great. Views can not be beat - best in all of Sedona. However, the beds are incredibly uncomfortable and neither me or my partner could sleep. They are so soft and old you will roll right into the middle of the bed and sink. They spent so much money making room improvements since covid but the bed situation does not justify the prices doubling. I used to spend 179 a night - now it's 400. The good- The room was nice, the location is great. The disappointing- for paying over 500 a night, there is no gym, no on site eating options. They do have a shuttle that will take you to town if needed. They forgot to give me the welcome basket for the wedding party, only to then lose it when I was told there was a welcome basket. The wedding event was great if you are not a vegan. When the wedding planner came to confirm the vegan options the night before, I had some hope. We gave multiple vegan options they could do. Come the wedding night dinner, they pre buttered the bread, put cheese on the salad, and served only a slightly larger portion of vegetables that everyone else was served as a side. I asked if it was possible to get a salad without the cheese, only to be told.... "Nope". I get it, salads are pretty hard to make..... We ended up having to leave the wedding before the restaurants nearby closed. It wasn't my wedding so I hope it was great for the honored couple, but from our perspective it was a Fail at every opportunity they had to fix it. Complete lack of caring. They cherry on top was when they lost the gift bag I was supposed to get and the front desk could not care less. Save yourself the trouble and get an Airbnb nearby. read more

I am reluctantly posting this as it is a totally hidden gem of a hotel! The location is the best in Sedona! Right by hiking trails and the best view overlooking the city and mountains. Hotels in Sedona are expensive... I feel like it's important to start with that. So obviously this one is expensive too. However, with this price per night I expected a little more. Most of the rooms don't have any view. Rooms are a little lackluster. Pool is nice but small and a little dated. There was a wedding when we were there so the beautiful view you see that's the face of their hotel was closed to all guests except the wedding party, so that was a bummer. Pros: I did like the location. Super close to the hustle and bustle of Sedona. Everything is within a 10 minute drive. Views are beautiful as you were leaving the property. read more
