Just say no, had over six grand in their hands and no rifle. Waited about three years. Plus they didn't coat as ordered didn't install the T51 but kept it. Eventually they shipped a stock rifle off the shelf to me than I had to beg for the NF scope as well.

I am waiting, waiting, waiting. i spent several thousand dollars. I have an agreement saying it…read morewill take 9 months to have my custom rifle completed. That was ordered on 8/1/12. To date I am still waiting as of 1/31/14. The response from the owner David Rooney was quote: "World Class Custom rifles are certainly not quick but we appreciate your patience and your pursuit of excellence. Your rifle is in the next batch of long action magnum to be completed. It's too late to make changes to the order, and custom orders are non-refundable. The office will call you as soon as test firing is scheduled. It is in direct violation of Federal and Florida State law to not offer the consumer a refund if their product is not available as promised. A complaint is being filed with the Florida States Attorney office and hopefully the attorney general Pam Bondi's office protects the consumer. below is what is posted by the State of Florida "By law, the company is required to ship your order within 30 days, or within the time period stated in its ads. If unable to ship your merchandise within the specified time period, the company must give you a choice of agreeing to the delay, or allow you to cancel your order and provide you with a prompt refund." Custom orders are not exempt from the law and at what point is enough time. My paperwork says 9 months and I never approved any extensions or was offered a refund. As noted by the response from David Rooney he does not comply with this law or perhaps simply believes that it does not apply to him or his business practices. I won't deny that Tactical Rifles, Inc may produce good products but the delays, lack of communication, and ignoring consumer protection laws is disconcerting. I am offering them a chance to issue me a refund to resolve this matter but right now I'm offered no choice but to exercise my legal right to file complaints and ultimately a lawsuit if not resolved. At the 2014 Shot Show the wait times stated were 5 - 6 months. All I know is mine is indefinite so buyer beware! If this is resolved and handled professionally I will likewise post any positive interactions.

I was given a price of $65 each which I thought was excessive but after being told how inferior my 306 rifle was, I still agreed to have the work done. I was told it would be about 2 weeks or so. I was in no hurry so that was agreeable with me. Weeks past and after about 5 weeks I called and was told they were going to "get to them" that week. Another 23 weeks past and I received a call saying there was a problem with the magazine on the 306 but they had sited in the 22.I asked about picking them up to be told it would be the following week that he was leaving for an out-of-town trip. I went in the following week to be told he did not have the rifles, and they were at another location. I asked where they were and was going to go there and pick them up. I was told I could not pick them up there and that he would call me when he had them, expecting them by Friday of that week. I went in to pick them up expecting to pay $65 for sitting the 22 rifle only to be told that they have sited the 306 in even there was still magazine issues and that I owed $200.00. Questioning the charge, I was told there was other work done increasing the bill. No other work was authorized. After all this I paid the $200 to get my rifles away from this guy only to realize, after I left, he had not returned the ammunition. One full box for each rifle. I was given a box of 22 rounds, him complaining they were not mine but to take them and was told he didn't have the others and would let me know when he had them. In summary, 2 weeks turned into more than 6 weeks, unauthorized charges were charged and I cursed and told not to ever come back. There is No Chance of me coming back anyway, even to get the 306 rounds. My suggestion is to just stay away from Deep River, they will drown you.
