The next days a different tech came and said he found the leak but someone else would have to come repair it & that second trip was $450. The next trip, trip 3, when someone was sent out to repair, we were charged $2700. We are senior citizens. a total of almost $3400. We spoke to someone in Atl that's in this business & were told we were way over charged & the integrity of this company is highly questionable.

They gave us an initial quote that was $858 after the $109 diagnostic fee for a simple repair to replace a fan motor. The cost of the fan motor is about $90 and the labor to install it should take less than an hour. We were in the process of getting other estimates to find another, more affordable vendor, but this company just came back out without authorization and did the work. Then they invoiced us for over $1200 saying that they also replaced the thermostat. The system didn't need a thermostat as it was replaced just a week prior and was brand new. Then they took our new thermostat with them. When we told them they performed this work without approval or authorization, they essentially said that is too bad and you have to pay the bill. I asked for proof that they had authorization to proceed with repairs and they sent an invoice with a squiggly mark (see photo). We were trying to dispute this and see what we can do to get something worked out or come to a resonable agreement about what to do because they did do work, but we would have never agreed to their pricing. The owner just decides that he is going to file a mechanic's lien on the property and does nothing to try to make up for the issue forcing us to pay because our lender would have had a realy issue with a lien. Now we are probably going to take them to small claims court to get restitution. Beware of these guys.

Hunter was very open and straightforward about the state of our system and got straight to work with clearing out the lines to get us back up and running. This company came to the rescue and really saved us. We purchased a TRANE XV20i from Old Coast Heating and Air Conditioning in 2018. The system is now 8 years old. The service we were receiving from Old Coast was overpriced, they sold us marked up parts, to include a replacement lightbulb for our RGF REME HALO-LED Whole Home In-Duct Air Purifier and would always upsell me during regular maintenance visits with adequate at best service. Additionally, we know now the $27,000 system purchased from them was not installed properly either. *********************BUT NOW???**************************** We switched to Savannah Air Factory after all our neighbors recommended them. They are now our maintenance company and our go to for all our HVAC needs! This company, undoubtedly, has better prices, service, and competency. They have an emergency number and a technician on call after hours (912) 944-8226. James was on call and he came out to fix the system temporarily so we could make it through the weekend until it could be fixed. Monday morning, I phoned their number (912) 665-6898 and spoke with Kaitlin. I explained our issue and that the system was down and she sent out Darren right away. Darren identified the problem, came up with the solution, and contacted TRANE Technical Support to verify it was the correct resolution. He accurately diagnosed a complex set of issues, including a failed evaporator coil, a refrigerant leak, step motor improperly seated, and sensors not set properly. Now, the system is running perfect, the way it was designed! Despite the extensive repairs needed, they handled the emergency seamlessly. They secured all the necessary parts immediately under warranty at no cost, offered transparent pricing for labor with no hidden fees, and replaced everything with absolute precision. Darren is a consummate professional, efficient, and very knowledgeable. They repaired the leak with a new coil, charged the refrigerant, and got our system running perfectly. Within no time, our home was ice-cold and comfortable again. Their emergency service is fast, honest, and high-quality. Disappointing Experience with Canady Heating & Air…read more I am very disappointed with my experience. I was given an appointment for July 20th and rearranged my entire day to be available. While I understand that HVAC companies become extremely busy during periods of extreme heat, communication and respect for a customer's time are still essential. By approximately 1145hrs, I had not received any updates, so I reached out using the text number I was provided. I did receive a response around 1200hrs and it came from a different number simply stating that I was still on the schedule and technicians would be working until 2000hrs. The issue isn't just the long service window it's the lack of meaningful communication. By 1700hrs, I still had no estimated arrival time. If a technician were to call at 1900hrs and arrive close to 2000, it raises a legitimate question: would there really be enough time to properly inspect, diagnose, and discuss a complex HVAC issue? A thorough evaluation shouldn't feel rushed at the end of a long workday. If a company is overbooked, it's better to be honest with customers and reschedule rather than ask someone to reserve an entire day with little or no communication. Customers have jobs, families, and other responsibilities, and their time deserves the same respect as the company's schedule. I chose Canady Heating & Air because they came highly recommended, so this experience was especially disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them. Better communication, realistic scheduling, and greater respect for customers' time would go a long way toward improving the overall service experience. I described the issue I was having and they were at my place within 2.5 hours. The service representative was great at being knowledgeable on his trade. He made sure I understood what he was describing and I did. To my surprise not only did he determine the problem with my walk-in cooler it was shocking to find out I had already paid a supposedly top company for the exact repair not more than a year or so again. I actually called the previously company first and was told l had no immediate concerns to worry about within two minutes of the two techs listening to my unit. That was 4 days before I was needing a response , my unit was cooling fine but not running correctly, then it just quit cooling like it was supposed to. When I tried getting the old company out they had blocked me from service because they over billed me on original call September 3rd. Yet after numerous of emails to the manager of the old company I was to say very irritated, that's when I contacted Bolton Air. They didn't leave until every test was performed for efficiency after the leak repair on the Freon leak which was causing me problems. Which in turn l had already paid the original company to fix just over a year ago. Not only did that company charge me a lot to supposedly fix my Freon leak but the tech never rechecked to see if all was good he just picked up his tools and wrote up an invoice.
