My friend used him for her divorce before the pandemic started but for some reason, I forgot to call him. So I called the man and he asks me who my present attorney is and who my then husband's attorney is and then just keeps asking me questions for about 15 minutes and does not let me ask a question. Then he says, "So your husband's offer is ............... and your attorney is telling you to ..................... and that is why you are calling me right?" That was the first time Mr. Pollack gave me the opportunity to speak but I couldn't! Because I am not sure how he knew but somehow base on the small amount of information he got from my answers, he told me pretty much the exact offer from my husband and almost exactly what my former attorney told me to do. So he laughed a little and explained that since he knows both attorneys well, he knows what each would do with the facts where one is representing the husband or the wife because that would matter as well. He promised me he could not read minds! Well, that offer was not based on any real financial discovery I later learned after hiring Mr. Pollack and in the end, I learned that had listened to my first lawyer, I would have made a huge mistake. So about six months or so later, after doing all the right things discovery-wise, I did get to settle for the right amount of alimony and for the right number of years of it too and I am getting his pension and his deferred comp and the rest of the goodies... and I am still in "our" house and will be here for another five years at least and Mr. Pollack, you rock! I told her just to FORGET it then, since she believes I'm the same person from over 8 yrs ago who would be calling in again. Clients beware, this attorney is more concerned with getting paid than actually working his cases which that is the sad part here! From his reviews I've seen filtering them to a 1 star is not fitting to pay a consultation fee, nor is your service all that good. So beware clients, they will RUN a check in their system to see if you've spoken with them before, sounds mediocre and highly judgmental, which is the last thing a client needs during a family law matter, or divorce.
