I wanted to buy my wife a gift certificate for a facial and found Skinfinity while searching yelp. I purchased the Skinfinity Signature Facial (which includes hand/arm/foot massage) via their internet site and received a nice gift card in the mail within a couple days. Their location is hidden away in a business park; a bit difficult to find but worth the search (it's on the McArthur Blvd side of the buildings). This is not a "walk in" place as Jennifer is the only person here and would normally be with a client so definitely make an appointment. The waiting area is small but comfortable. I've never done this before but my wife is insisting I write this paragraph of the review based on her experience (since she is the one who got the facial). She said that it was the best facial experience ever. The whole atmosphere - decor, lighting, music and aroma - were conducive to relaxation. Jennifer was sweet, gentle and dedicated to making this a top-notch experience. The massage was wonderful as was the facial (my wife's skin was glowing afterward!). After the session Jennifer provided personalized information for my wife's skin care. My wife left extremely satisfied and happy. I will definitely get Skinfinity gift certificates again. I wouldn't consider any other place for a facial based on the high praise my wife gave. The reason I'm giving two stars and not one is because I really like the facilities and the customer service I've received and I've given this place two chances before I'm reviewing. I first went in for a lash lift and tint along with eyebrow wax and henna tint. My lash lift looked great although after a few weeks the lashes were bent/crooked. This is my first and probably last time trying this service, I don't know if it's my fault and if it's from my sleeping on my side or why but now my lashes when I apply mascara are bent/crooked cos they are now stuck that way. The lash tint made no difference and they didn't charge me for it which I thought was nice. My eyebrow wax and henna though...henna was applied first before my brows were shaped and I ended up with asymmetrical brows which my husband pointed out that the head on my left was thicker than my right. They looked great (apart from asymmetry) for like 4 days then completely disappeared. I did follow the steps in ensuring they didn't get wet for 24hrs and didn't mask or scrub my face. I texted them letting them know and they offered me another try with 50% discount and that they would add more black into the henna so it would last longer. On my 2nd try I asked to have my brows shaped before henna application. Each step I'm given a mirror to inspect and give feedback. I feel that as professionals they should be perfect and shouldn't rely on my feedback which parts of my brows needed more waxing (I did have to point out parts of the waxing that were asymmetrical too). Then with the henna application, the day after which is when the color is actually settling, I noticed that there were faded blotches on my left eyebrow. There were some faded parts on the brow resulting in me having to powder it in and also the brows were asymmetrical again, this time one brow thicker than the other. The brows did last slightly longer at about 10 days. I guess henna and tinting isn't for everyone but the fact that the eyebrows after henna application came out on both times unsatisfactory due to shape asymmetry is unacceptable. It's a shame cos I really liked the place and the staff and planned to try the lash extensions but with results like this I'm not going to, cos how will my lashes come out? Crooked and with thicker volume on one more than the other? read more

So, it has been a while since my last review but within the last two months I have tried the signature facial, brow wax, AND lash lift so I thought this warranted a review update. First, like my last review, the brow wax continues to be amazing. I always leave the salon, happy with my brows. I love how Nicole keeps my brows full (and even)! You will be surprised at how many places charge more and leave me with slightly uneven brows. Now, moving to the facial. I had an appointment with Karrie and she has hands of an angel. I was super stressed with moving to a new job and somehow within that hour and a half, she melted all my stress away. I think I must have fell asleep at one point because she really made sure I was comfortable during the whole facial. I walked away with my skin looking great and she gave me a few advice on how to take care of my skin in between appointments. Last, but definitely not the least, the lash lift. I have done lash lifts in the past but I can't remember being this pleased about how my lash looked. I have been using a lash serum for a while and while my lash grew longer, they grew straight down so I turned to Katelyn for help. She not only help lift them up, she made sure each lash was feathered out and not clumped together making them look fuller and absolutely GORGEOUS. I cannot thank the ladies of Skinfinity enough. I am definitely looking forward to all of my next appointments. If you are looking for a new salon for waxing, facials, or lash lifts, this is that place. read more

Jennifer provides the best skin care services at affordable prices and is the only gal I go to when I'm due for a facial or wax. She is an absolute perfectionist within her trade and because she takes her time giving each client her undivided attention to detail, she's always high in demand. I normally have to book my appointments at least 2 weeks in advance because her schedule gets packed quickly. As an esthetician, she uses professional brands and never tries to sell products to her clients. If I have questions or ask for feedback on the products I use at home, she gives her honest opinion and has never steered me in the wrong direction. If my skin reacts poorly to a certain product, she takes note and is sure to not apply the same product during the facials. My skin is super sensitive and can be extremely dry so she's been a great source of information for all my skin care needs. I've gotten services from Lux Aveda, cruise ships, and other private estheticians but I've always seen the best results from Jennifer's wonderful facials. read more

I have been going to Jennifer for about six months now and she is amazing; she helped me shape and tailor my brows to where they need to be. Jennifer at Skinfinity is the only person I trust to do my eyebrows. I prefer wax and tweezing over threading not only because it lasts longer but there is minimal pain with wax and tweezing from Jennifer. I kid you not, when I tried to do threading to rid baby hairs (not even eyebrows), I was borderline crying. But when I went to see Jennifer for the first time, she explained the types of wax of she used (hard and strip) and made me feel at ease so it didn't even hurt when time came to pull those pesky eyebrow hairs out. In addition to that first visit, she made sure to check in with me about discomfort or how much she was waxing (I prefer my eyebrows to be reshaped than say, "thinner") which was a great plus for me. The atmosphere is also very soothing with calm music and dimmed lighting. I'm always satisfied with my eyebrows whenever I see her and even convinced my boyfriend to see her and he liked her work as well! His brows were done so nicely since they didn't have the obvious shaping that say, a client like me might want. I recommend her to everyone and I hope she stays in the area for a while! Also, she never-ever-ever-ever double dips which is pretty great seeing doubling dipping for this sort of establishment is, well, gross. My eyebrows are naturally sparse and thin but I also had definitely over plucked them over the years before seeing her. When I started seeing her I had been trying to grow them out but they were still thin and shapeless. Now that I've been seeing her consistently, I can honestly say that I LOVE my eyebrows.
