    First time going to a salon so i thought i would go somewhere that offered good services. Firslty,…read moremy hair style had not been properly discussed to the hair stylist who was going to be doing my hair. Secondly, I was about to have it cut and blow dried after it being 'toned' and i couldnt see the slightest difference. That would be a lot of money spent on something i could not justify. After some discussion they did my hair an overall purple colour which yes i am happy with and it does look good. The manager was lovely and spoke to me about possibilities and how it would look which helped. My main issue is that i was charged for a cut and blow dry and i had not even an inch cut off of my hair, let alone layers which i even sprecified that i would like. My hair looks near enough the same as it did before yet i was charged £58 for it. I feel that there was a lack of communication on my behalf and the staff i dont blame them at all for the confusion with the colour change etc Lastly when i went in for my consultation i was told it would be under £130 if that. When i got to the till i was charged £145. Its only £15 i understand but you cant come into a salon being told how much you will be charged and the being over charged. I feel i could have done as good a job by popping to superdrug and buying a box of dye myself. Over all i didnt have a very good experience in GREYS as i felt more like an inconvenience and i cannot justify the price. I will not be returning.

    I travel 84 miles to Bedford to get me hair cut here which tells you everything you need to know!…read moreI've known my super star hairdresser since when I first started work and his cousin opened a salon behing the office. Over the years, I'd been to hairdressers in the places I've lived and the good one's always seem to move on! When I moved back to Bedford I found Franco again, now with his own salon and when I was looking for offices for my new business, I choose the ones's across the seat from the salon! Having had cropped short hair for years, I had tried to grow it out but not being a girly girl I don't like spending too much time on my appearance but having Franco across the street meant I could go in every week and he would wash and style for me, whilst we had business chats. He didn't even normally work on Mondays but came in at 7.30am to wash and dry two customers' hair and I got to know the other lady well too! So apart from the level of customer service that Franco is passionate to instill in his large staff too, it's all in the cut. Something that Franco does means that my now long hair grows out and doesn't look ridiculous in between cuts. Seeing as my hairdresser is 84 miles away, I can't get there as regularly as like, particularly as there is no train line between Birmingham and Bedford, but I won't change. I even waited 6 months between cuts when I was in New York! Filippo Russo are also excellent colourists too and I have watched the staff grow from being Saturday staff to becoming these experts over the years. I've also seen his son grow to be a senior stylist now and every single staff member knows me and greets me by name, despite there sometimes being months in between my visits. It's a joy to know them all!
