First time going to a salon so i thought i would go somewhere that offered good services. Firslty, my hair style had not been properly discussed to the hair stylist who was going to be doing my hair. Secondly, I was about to have it cut and blow dried after it being 'toned' and i couldnt see the slightest difference. That would be a lot of money spent on something i could not justify. After some discussion they did my hair an overall purple colour which yes i am happy with and it does look good. The manager was lovely and spoke to me about possibilities and how it would look which helped. My main issue is that i was charged for a cut and blow dry and i had not even an inch cut off of my hair, let alone layers which i even sprecified that i would like. My hair looks near enough the same as it did before yet i was charged £58 for it. I feel that there was a lack of communication on my behalf and the staff i dont blame them at all for the confusion with the colour change etc Lastly when i went in for my consultation i was told it would be under £130 if that. When i got to the till i was charged £145. Its only £15 i understand but you cant come into a salon being told how much you will be charged and the being over charged. I feel i could have done as good a job by popping to superdrug and buying a box of dye myself. Over all i didnt have a very good experience in GREYS as i felt more like an inconvenience and i cannot justify the price. I will not be returning. read more

Brand new, very stylish salon, that has just been refurbished. They have a very good customer loyalty scheme, and the service is quite good. The products that they have on offer are expensive, but relatively good. read more

I was told about Greys by a work collogue who recommended it. As it was my wife's birthday (the big Four O...). I wanted to give her something special so (among other things) I got a gift voucher for Greys. Anyway, my wife reported she had a wonderful time, they really looked after her, listened to what she said and did what she asked with her hair. She has now made them her preferred hairdresser. read more

I've got to say that I'm absolutely disappointed about my haircut just done today. It's out of shape & too short like a child had took a scissors & play on my hair!. First time I had my hair cut by Emma & she was great. I was hoping to have her again, but instead got another hairdresser Leah who was clueless what to do, that I had to guide her several times, & she cut her finger slightly.. (Surely have not alot of experience in hair.) the hair was out of shape & too short..:( I would never go back to Greys again as it looks professional but it's really not, if I was handed a junior!!!. I recently had my highlights done at Greys - I usually go elsewhere but wasn't able to get an appointment, and I assumed as their charges were so high that was an indication of quality. I will never go there again - I've paid well over £100 just for highlights (no cut), only difference is a couple of bright splashes of colour on the top of my head, not blended in and certainly not throughout my hair. The girl who did it (Emma) was very quick and didn't seem to put many foils in, and they were all very big sheets, not lots of little ones like I usually have. It generally takes best part of an hour to get the foils in as I have very thick hair, but this couldn't have been more than 25 minutes. My general impression of the salon was that it wasn't very professional - the shampooist wandered off and left me wondering where to go, and when I went in for my appointment I was told they had no record of it (despite me having had a patch test the week before) and I had to come back later, which meant about £5 extra of parking charges.
