They have a petting zoo!! I don't remember that in past years so thinking it's fairly new. We stopped in for our usual apple pick up and see that they also have hard ciders now. I noticed a tasting area but was told the only one available for tasting was the rhubarb. Shame I couldn't try the more traditional ones as I don't tend to buy a case without confirming it's good first. The employee also was kind of unfriendly but not to the point of rude. Just didn't seem to want anybody there shopping. The apples, apple cider donuts and apple cider were all delicious. Always a great stop and now even more worth it with some fun friends at the petting zoo area! read more

We have shopped sky high for years and been very satisfied but right now I am so frustrated with their customer service. I could scream. a couple weeks ago. The website said they were open and had fresh made turnovers and donuts so I called to order and left a message and they never returned the call. Today after Labor Day, I went to the website to order where it says you can even order ahead for a later pick up and I'm not able to do it because the items I want which are their delicious apple turnovers says low stock and you can't order it! Call them and it says connect to someone in the shop and when you push that option, your call gets disconnected. I can't get through. I can't order and I'm just frustrated with them. read more

We made our annual trip to Ski Hi. One of my favorite places to visit in the fall! It's very close to Devil's Lake, so it's fun to combine the two and make a day of it. We just stopped in to get apples and treats but they also have apple picking in their orchards across the way, lunch (brats truck) on their back deck, farm animals, and a beautiful back lawn to enjoy a picnic. Ski Hi has something for everyone including kids. I think they have the best caramel apples! Their apple cider donuts are amazing as well. They have many treats to choose from including apple turnovers, apple pies, apple cider, etc. They also have a wide variety of apples you can either pick or buy by the bag. My favs are the macintosh. They have multiple check out areas around their retail space so the lines move quickly. I regret not getting a tshirt, they are so cute. There's lots to see in their retail space, it's always fun to look at everything. After you get your purchases I recommend eating your caramel apple on a picnic bench on their lawn space. Beautiful views! Highly recommend! read more

Specifically for the apple cider donuts- we got there about 30 minutes after opening specifically for the apple cider donuts- and I understand 30 minutes is 30 minutes but damn it would have been nice to get warm donuts- and if not warm donuts then maybe quick service, we walked around the store twice before we were able to flag someone to check us out. The donuts were meh- they're cakey donuts with cinnamon sugar, I thought there would be apples or something in them but just plain donuts for the most part. read more

I've been coming here for years... they have recently become a year-round place and really nicely updated the store. They are also offering some really neat products including a hard cider and several collaborations with Wollersheim including the delicious Ski-Hi rye. Both the hard cider and rye are only available at Ski-Hi. During apple season they have a variety of apples grown in their orchard right across the street. They also do apple cider donuts... yup just get them. They also do slices of fresh apple pie and take away whole pies. Ski-Hi is just off Hwy 12 and just outside of Devil's Lake State Park. So if you're passing by or planning a trip to Devil's Lake it's worth stopping in! read more

Apples apples apples. Did I mention apples? Its the theme. Doughnuts, pie, turnovers, actual bagged apples, jams, salsa, apple and pumpkin butter, caramel apples, cheese spreads, pure maple syrup and honey. Its not a pick your own apple place like orchard at least as of now its more farm like store with bagged. Check website for what is available in season before going. Scrumptious read more

A stop at Ski-Hi is a right of passage of the seasons. Even though Grandma is no longer there to make the terrific pies, her legacy lives on. Make sure you stop here if you are in the area. read more

Ski-Hi Fruit Farm - A Wisconsin fall tradition - Fruits & Veggies Near Me - Baraboo, Wisconsin

Always a great adventure. I make this the last stop before I hit town when out riding the country side. It's know that they have the best apple pie....I may have to vow on that. Folks come from all over to get it. They also have a great selections / variety of apple fresh off the trees. From the farm to the table concept. They do normally have available fresh out of the oven pasties also. Make This a must stop when on HW-12. read more

The view and the experience alone is worth 5 stars. They have delicious homemade apple pies, taffy apples and turnovers. They have added a petting zoo and now accept credit cards. Check to see if their open. Their season is short. read more

Beautiful drive here with a fantastic view of the fall colored trees. Have to eat a carmel apple and a pie to go. Don't forget to take home a apple cider for the cold winter evenings. read more

Ski-Hi Fruit Farm - Great view from the patio - Fruits & Veggies Near Me - Baraboo, Wisconsin

Great place to get local jams, Apple butter, syrup and salsa. Cider donuts and pies are fantastic. Petting zoo is cute but needs something you can feed the animals rather than just look. read more

Ski-Hi pie was real treat after a day spent hiking the sky high trails of Devil's Lake. The pie was amazing: I had one piece there, on a Monday afternoon, at a picnic table with some older folks, and vanilla ice cream. We also took a pie home and I ate the whole thing in a day. Beautiful hilltop orchard, delicious pie, right next door to a state park. read more

Ski-Hi Fruit Farm - apple pie and ice cream - Fruits & Veggies Near Me - Baraboo, Wisconsin

Took my mother in-law for a Birthday outing. She loved all the local offerings of apples and jars of caramel. Big hit with us all.

Their prices have gone ski high ... Nothing really special about this place except the experience we used to have in past years of tasting and buying apples No more trying or tasting the apples ... Now with apple cider at $7 and doughnuts at $1 each and 5 lb apple bags at $5 to $10 each ... You get the picture, a regular family may now want to choose other options ... read more

Part of my wish list for our trip was getting a caramel apple straight from an orchard and Ski-hi was the closest one to us. I couldn't have been happier. The apples are a bit expensive but considering it's an orchard and not a Wall-Mart what else could we expect? Apples, cider and turnovers were all delicious. And during a brisk but sunny fall day it was great to sit outside overlooking a gorgeous hillside colored by the changing autumn leaves. Staff was courteous and friendly, answering every question I had. read more

After a cold fall walk in the woods nothing sounds better than some hot apple cider and donuts. Too bad you can't get that here. All of their signs advertise cider, but they only make it a couple of times each year. Their apples cost more than double what they charge at any grocery store in Chicago. The donuts were good so they get an extra star for that, but I hope you like a dry mouth after eating it. read more

Overpriced tourist trap. $15 for a bag of Honeycrisps? $14 for an apple pie? No thanks. The cider donuts were good, but I don't need to drive 40 miles outside of Madison to find a good donut. Would not recommend and won't be back read more

There's a good reason Ski-Hi has been around for 110 years!! The best unpasteurized cider pressed fresh every Wednesday! Their great Apple Pies, donuts, turnovers, and Caramel apples made every day! And don't forget the apple fritters on Fridays. They also have Blackberry/Apple, Raspberry/Apple and No-sugar apple pies on the weekends. And don't forget their apples! They have mainstream varieties, but also some less-heard-of ones like Snow, Dudley, Mutsu, Idared, Macoun, Northern Spy, Arkansas Black, Winter Banana, Russett, Ginger Gold, giant Wolf Rivers, and my favorite Empire!! And they have some Pear trees! They have a new petting farm every day this year with goats, geese, a calf, a mini-horse, a pig, a donkey, an alpaca, and more. The grandkids loved it! I've been going there every year for well over 40 years! The view is great there nestled in the bluffs with the fall colors changing every day! One thing different this year is how to get there now. With the new bypass being finished, you can't get there the way we used to on the old Hwy. 12; you have to go up onto the new bypass 4 lane highway and turn off at the Ski-Hi Road access. Well worth the trip! read more

We have gone to Ski-Hi for years but won't be going again. This year we went during the week to avoid the crowds but the experience was anything but fun. There wasn't the variety of apples available as in the past, there weren't any taffy apples to buy and they no longer offer apples to sample. Apparently, you're expected to pay a premium price for a bag of apples without knowing what they taste like. Also, the people working there were just unfriendly on they day we were there. They didn't smile, answered questions curtly and just seemed unhappy. It was a beautiful day and it could have been fun. We will be looking for another orchard for our annual fall apple orchard excursion. read more

way overrated and over priced the only reason they survive with the prices they have is because there near a state park. apple donuts are not made by them. just go to another orchard if you want better prices and experience read more
