Plato's Closet is a great place for buyer and seller alike, especially this particular location…read more With pleasant staff, a great selection, a quick buying process, and a convenient location, this is definitely worth visiting. Came here several times over the past year to sell some clothing items and peruse their offerings. They are adjacent to the Huntington Mall, so it's easy to time a trip here when you're heading to the mall anyway. Plenty of parking is available out front and very close to the store, making it a cinch to bring your tubs/bags of clothes inside without much effort. While I have seen a number of different employees here (more than you would expect for a store of this size), they have all been very polite and helpful, processing my buy offers in about 20 minutes or less (I usually bring in about two 40 gal tubs worth of clothes). Their offers are fair and since I get many of my upscale clothing items secondhand anyway, I occasionally even make money on the deal! Looking over their aisles, you can tell how well-organized everything is and the effort they've made to ensure each item is properly showcased to give it a shot at being sold. I can't speak on the women's sections (for obvious reasons), though I can confidently say the men's sections are laid out well in terms of size and style and I know exactly where to go to find the items I might be interested in. The only problem I've found here is that they don't have the same high-quality brands that I've seen at other Plato's Closet locations (I used to go to the Richmond location all the time in years past). While I expect to see Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, maybe even some Tom Ford if I'm lucky at a store of this nature, this location's best brands are often the cheaper subdivisions of the great brands (think Chaps by RL) and the rare high-end items are in relatively poor shape. This is particularly evident in the shoes, where many of the pairs have about 80% of their lifespans already used up, and the few new/gently used pairs have prices nearing their retail counterparts. While I have still found some good items at great prices here, I'm more a fan of selling than I am buying here. All things considered, this Plato's Closet is a great place to liquidate unneeded/unwanted clothing items (especially if they're quality brands) and you have a good shot at finding a stellar deal here if you take the time to look! Overall: 4.5 stars ----- Pros: - Great staff members make the buying/selling process easy. - Store layout is well-designed all the way around. - Prices are more than fair, for both buying and selling. - Plenty of parking no matter how busy the shopping center is. Cons: - Huntington is not known for being a land of fashion trend-setters, so it follows logically that the sources for merchandise here aren't going to be on the same level you would see in other cities. You'll have to hunt a bit if you want the really good stuff.

As soon as I walked in the door, the salesperson helped me. I told him what I was looking for, and he guided me through the entire process. This is the type of customer service that you can't get at a big department store. After I selected the suits I wanted, the salesperson offered to hem the trousers while I waited. There weren't a lot of customers in the store at the time; so, he asked me to wait 15 minutes. He hemmed the trousers, packed my new suits in suit bags, and I was on my way. It took me less than an hour on a Saturday afternoon from walking in the door to walking out with new suits that look great and fit perfectly. I'm making B&E my new go-to shop for suits.

Lara's has come through both times.
