I've been buying from Skatie for years - I have leggings, shorts, sports bras, and swimsuits. Don't be persuaded by the negative reviews yall - they're an amazing company!!! Their fabric is buttery soft and I'm only now seeing wear on knees of one of my favorite pair of leggings after 3.5 years of wearing them all the time. I wear their swimsuits when surfing and have yet to have one rip or get loose etc. They often have amazing sales - just know that anything 30% off + or in the sale section is final sale. I highly recommend their try before you buy program to figure out your sizing if you're unsure. For the most part, I find their sizing consistent, but as with most companies, sometimes you might be a size up or down in certain styles. read more

Heads up, they don't allow you to return bathing suits. Only exchanges and you have to pay for shipping every time. Their sizes are super inconsistent and by the time you return one to get another in the right size, the pattern you initially ordered is likely to be sold out. I ordered multiple top sizes the first time thinking I could return, nope. I've now placed 3 orders and done 2 exchanges. Keeping this final order because I just need to put this to bed. I bought a limited edition bikini from this brand last May. It was $180--by far the most I've ever spent on a swimsuit--but I figured it would be worth it if it lasted a few summers. I live in Philly, so I only wear swimsuits during the warmer months, and I took really good care of this one. When I pulled it out this season, the strap broke right away. I was honestly shocked. It had barely been worn, and for that price, I expected much better quality. I have swimsuits from cheaper brands that have lasted years, and this one didn't even make it through one summer. I reached out, sent photos like they asked, and all I got back was a "sorry, we don't have the top anymore." No offer to fix it, no replacement, nothing. The pattern is unique, so now the bottoms are useless too. It's just super frustrating to spend that much on something that falls apart and to get no real help from customer service. I ordered 4 items on the Memorial Day sale (2 tops and 2 bottoms), I haven't received my package yet. I got a UPS tracking number which says they're still waiting for the package and then a second tracking number that says it will be delivered through USPS which also is waiting for the package. I contacted Skatie and was told they don't know where the package is and to go through the "order protection" I paid for. The thing is they won't do anything, order protection can give me my money back but they won't honor de sales price nor deliver on time for my vacation, after asking about this they stopped answering my emails even after informing them that this is a time sensitive matter. I spent $160 on a suit that arrived defective, and instead of making it right, they've made returning it a battle - basically directing the blame, cost, and faulty product at me. At first, I was obsessed with SKATIE swimsuits! The material felt amazing and they made me feel great. Until the other day when I went to put on one of my 'Amanda' one pieces, and noticed the seam at the top of the back was literally tearing apart. I only wore that suit maybe 2 times. So I go to put on a never worn suit... the same thing is happening in the same place!! Customer service was no help at all, stating it was beyond my warranty for the first suit. Their quality is outstanding and everything I own from them is buttery soft. The prints and color options are so fun and unlike anything I've ever seen from any other brand. I can wear both XS and S in their pieces. I recommend trying out sizing at full price first in case you need to exchange. This company has the worst customer service model I have ever encountered. The website states that sizes fit exactly as mentioned. I ordered a swimsuit top in a medium and it fit fine. The following week, I ordered a different swimsuit in a medium. Well, this one did not fit. I tried calling to speak to a customer service rep and no one answer so I left a message and no one bothered to call me back. I sent an email and they responded that they cannot exchange or return. This bathing suit does NOT fit and they won't even exchange for a bigger size! This is ridiculous! As much as things cost these days now I'm supposed to just eat the cost and deal with it??? Don't purchase any of the Lyndi, Jean or Cher tops!!!! The boning they put in the sides will almost immediately start to dig into your breast or armpits, it extremely uncomfortable and makes the top impossible to wear. Obviously you'd have to wear the top to experience this and Skatie will not do return or exchange on worn items, faulty made or not. The "warranty" section says "discretion" and they told me sorry, not sorry. Their customer service is unfortunate. They have cute patterns but I won't be purchasing from them again. read more

I was sincerely excited to try out this brand. So far though, I'm not pleased with this company's customer service and shipping practices. I paid extra for shipping (2-3 days) to get my order in time for a trip. It has been 6 days and my order has still not been shipped. The customer service rep, who was unkind and unhelpful, let me know the extra shipping timeframe only applies after it actually ships and the fulfillment window is 5-7 days.. and apparently it's stated on their website but of course it isn't stated on the shipping page when completing your order. This is a poor customer experience, a deceptive practice and I do not agree with it. Customer service needs communications and support training. Interactions should be helpful, pleasant and convey a willingness to resolve the customer's questions or issues. My advice: don't pay extra for shipping because it's going to take them a week to put your items in a bag, label it and ship it out. I'll be updating once I actually receive the items - that is still sitting at their facility waiting to sent to USPS since 4:00pm yesterday. read more

I bought a swimsuit from skatie and I was super excited about it. I ordered a medium because that is what I normally wear and it happened to be too small. I emailed trying to EXCHANGE it for a bigger size and I even offered to pay for the return shipping since this is such an expensive swim suit. I received no reply after that email and am now stuck with a $150 swim suit that doesn't fit me! They do not accept returns on sale items, which i admit was my fault for not seeing, but it should be made much more clear on their website. Most retailers have this information in red print when item is selected, and as a disclaimer on the checkout screen. Their notation is very small, basic black print on the product screen. Very disappointed to have lost $100+. I would have never purchased a swimsuit online had I known I couldn't return it.
