I have loved Skate World since I was a kid. Kettering is fortunate to have it as a part of the community.

I have loved Skateworld since I was a kid. I recently celebrated my 50th birthday here and they made it amazing. Kettering if fortunate to have Skateworld as part of the community.

Pieces of toilet paper. It was all around the floor

Find somewhere else! Floor needs to be taken care of! No floor monitors. Pieces of toilet paper everywhere, old beat up skates. Not friendly. Very dated!

The place could be better maintained. The prizes were low quality. My daughter hit the 1000 ticket prize but it only credited her 40. The staff was nice. Pizza was low quality but expected. The Sierra Mist had an off taste from the ice.

Dirty falling apart skates

Yuck! Even with a coupon to go it cost a ridiculous amount for disgusting skates from the 80's. Rude staff. I had to change out my kids skate because they gave us two of the same side and he was like well what one do you need... the other one! Also they don't tell you upfront that if you want to use the skate assists for little kids it's $5 per kid. Nasty floors, nasty carpet, will not be going back.

It has been 20 years since I last went to Skateworld of Kettering. I will have to say this place still looks the same but definitely less maintained and worn down. The atmosphere was in poor condition and not great. There were a lot of dirty tables that needed to be wiped down.None of of the staff seemed to be maintaining nor wiping the tables down or picking up trash. The music was super loud and they played oldie and top hit music. The carpet in this was place was filthy. I was seriously concerned about the kids walking around in their socks and also falling into this carpet that looked like it had never been steamed cleaned or vacuumed. The bathrooms were in just dire need of a good cleaning and bleaching the toilets and sinks looked like no one had bothered to clean the bathrooms in over 2 decades. Parents be aware of this location. I would recommend your child to not crawl around the floors or carpets of this location. I would also recommend to not touch the sink counters if possible. This place looks like a lot of fun for the kids but definitely not clean.

$6 Just for the mushrooms???

You can take your toddler there and they can play in the soft play for as long as they want for $3. This is life changing some days.

Skate America Roller Skating Center

Went to Skate America in Grove City and don't ever plan on going back. Their parking lot is small,…read moregravel, and has many holes. This is a very small facility; I've never seen a smaller roller rink. There should have been a cap of how many people allowed in, because it made skating and just moving around inside so difficult. Everything looks at least 30-40 years old here, our booth was wobbly and unstable. The carpet was old and stained. It was very challenging to move around on the carpeted areas, but also the rink, due to the extreme number of people in the building. I felt like I was in a packed bar or club. I can't overstate that there were way too many people and children. The rink itself is painted concrete, which I've never seen before. It is somewhat uneven, you can feel the small rises and falls in the concrete, but it's not too severe. There were A LOT of children with the little PVC skate-aid things, but skating as an adult was made extremely challenging & nearly impossible because of this. The music they played was fun, and there was some interactions from the DJ, like a backwards skate only, and "all girls only skate," and then "all boys only skate," for a song each. I did like that there are ceiling fans over the rink, to cool you down. The ceiling felt really low, which I think made the whole place feel even smaller. The bathrooms were pretty clean and well stocked, but I didn't like that there were no hooks on the bathroom stall doors. They did let me bring my water bottle in, which I appreciated. There were lockers, but we didn't rent one. Overall, this place is probably fine if you're a kid, but terrible if your an adult skater looking to skate. Go to United Skates or America on Refugee instead!!

We came for a bday party where we spent on roller skating but there's a huge gaming/play area as…read morewell. Because skating was included in the party, I don't know the pricing. However, the skating aids (the little rolling walker-type creations) were $7 a piece to rent for the evening. The women's bathroom was very clean. Interestingly, the sinks, mirrors, and hand dryers are outside of the restrooms. Inside is only the stalls. This creates a nice flow of traffic and avoids any traffic jams inside the restrooms. That said, all the preteens and teenagers had to do their primping outside the restrooms and fully visible to everyone inside the skating area. While the party included pizza and drinks, many of us bought food items from the concessions area before the food came out. The food was a bit slow coming out but everything was good and the fries were top notch! I'd definitely come back just for the arcade or just for skating. It seems that doing both would be a much larger time commitment, and enough to fill a major block in the day if you wanted.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an experience I recently had during Wednesday…read moreadult skate night. I have been coming to this skating rink since I was a child and have consistently attended adult skate night for over a year, which is why this experience was especially upsetting to me. The first issue occurred at the snack counter around 11:49 PM. I politely asked for a cup of ice water and was told the stand was closed, even though the posted closing time was 12:00 AM. Less than five minutes later, I witnessed another customer being helped at the same counter. When I calmly asked why I had been denied service while another customer was assisted, I felt the response I received was dismissive and unprofessional. The second incident occurred on May 6th and involved my skate stoppers. One of my stoppers accidentally fell off before I could fully attach it, and I was trying to figure out a solution while also asking staff whether anyone had found the missing piece. I explained the situation respectfully and made it clear that I was not intentionally breaking the rules. However, I felt I was spoken to sarcastically and treated unfairly by a manager during the interaction. When I attempted to remove myself from the situation and seek help from another employee, I felt further confronted rather than assisted. The interaction escalated unnecessarily, and I was ultimately asked to leave and denied a refund despite trying to calmly explain my situation. I completely understand the importance of enforcing rules and maintaining safety. However, I believe all customers should be treated with fairness, professionalism, and respect. As a long-time customer who regularly supports adult skate night, I left feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and disappointed by how the situation was handled. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve customer service experiences moving forward -De'Aira
