I had a very pleasant experience with my family and friend. It would be five stars if not for the fly on the skating rink. I have no problem with him being there but where are his skates? We drove over 50 minutes for K-Pop + BTS Night and there is NO BTS songs and just a couple of K-POP songs. What a waste of time!

Was very disappointed while recording, I was informed I couldn't just set there with my camcorder running recording the action. I was allowed to record with my phone as we're about 15 other people. This is a public venue open to the public and Ohio does not require approval of any second party to record and/or post. Conveniently a month earlier I was ask by staff if I had recorded the events leading up to a major issue of some adult running over a bunch of kids when the adult was skating the song direction at an accelerated pace. The incident had happened right before I got there, seems like if the recording would of helped their case they wanted it, other wise I was infinging on people's privacy. If you are afraid of someone seeing your kids having fun maybe they should be kept at home. You can't very well use your policies to suit your venue at your will, I would recommend you decide ahead of time and post them where everyone can see them. Them to maybe you should require patons turn over phones camera and other recording equipment at the door. I wonder how long the business would last at that point, I think you already have a poor business plan in the works, why not finish it off? Dennis Armstrong read more

The rink was big but it could be bigger. And the K-pop Demon Hunters event was really great. The free pizza day is on Sunday and it is just so good just $11 to get in. It is just so amazing read more

While the place has gotten a paint refresh and maybe new carpeting, I'm still not a fan. It's crazy expensive for two kids. I paid over $40 to just get in and then for skate rentals. That's crazy to me. The skate laces really need to be changed out as it's hard to get them laced up. I've been during regular hours and for a private event and the space was a little better during the private event. I just think you can go to so many other places for fun for better pricing and fun. Maybe if I loved skating I'd enjoy it, but I find it so boring. My kids have had fun the handful of times we've went in their lives. The employees are our private event were really nice though. read more

Ridiculous service! Paid 40$ (my 7 and 8 year old and myself who was NOT skating). Whatever- paid it. My daughter goes and asks for a skate buddy (walker to assist inexperienced skaters) and she was told it costs. I'm sitting right next to where you get them. 20 min later a parent ask another where she got it- she pointed to where we just asked. Girl said it costs and the friend said "can you just give her one"... SAME WORKER gives her one!!! Insane. read more

Skateworld stepped up after a family was denied entry by another skate rink due to having a service dog for their son. Skateworld not only welcomed them with open arms, but they also offered the boy a free pass and are hosting a skating party for him. Always good to see a company stepping up to help people in the community. Note: people are mixing up Skateworld with the company that denied the family entry. Skateworld is NOT the one who denied them entry. read more

I love skate world! Prices are reasonable, it's clean, and a lot of fun. Their pizza is really good too! Very nostalgic and brings back good memories. Makes you feel like a kid again! read more

I really enjoyed my time here the food was not good though but the employees were very friendly and nice definitely made my day

They charge .80 for ketchup to go with the already over priced fries $5. It's filthy in the building and bathrooms were disgusting years ago and are still. Over priced, filthy shoes and filthy in general. The business owner refuses to hear any negative feedback. Even on the photos section on yelp they post their logo over and over to compensate for photos of filth. Maybe the owner is just trying to keep their head above water but for a mother and 3 boys the cost for skating and food was $80 for the evening. In today's economy that is to be expected but the lack of cleanliness and unwillingness to hear about any issues is sad. Will not return. read more

Skateworld of Kettering - Pizza birthday party setup - Skating Rinks Near Me - Kettering, Ohio

We had a birthday party here and it was a nightmare. There were 3 staff members for the entire place. There was a delay in guests interning because there was a verbal altercation in the front. They forgot to put our pizzas in so they were late. There was no one manning the skates so our guests waited for at least 20 min before anyone even showed up to help. The food was really poor quality. The employees are over worked and are doing the best they can but service is poor. Go elsewhere. read more

Business must be great because they're turning away all of their teen guests. Our high schoolers, who used to really like skating with their friends (minus mom and dad) for a few hours are now required to have adult supervision. I can understand not wanting a 10yo left unsupervised...but if they're driving themselves...they need mom and dad?? Short-sided and very disappointing. read more

This place is a mess. Instead of updating their rental skates or the carpet, they've recently built what looks like a bunker with concrete cinder blocks- (unsecured to the ceiling I might add) for a tiny laser tag area?? It looks genuinely ominous and horrible. The whole place seems so much smaller and uglier, and now there is very little seating. It's almost like they're letting a child make business decisions. Sad this place doesn't care about skating. :( read more

This place is ran by teens and is run down and dirty. It's obvious the owners just don't care. False advertising on the schedule on the website as they never have radio Disney playing. There is no accountability in the soft play area as big kids and those without paid bracelets are in it. This place is a last resort. read more

I absolutely do not recommend Skateworld of Kettering to anyone. I took the kids there today. While they had fun, it was very understaffed and dirty, and the prices were ludicrous. $5 for a small portion of fries and an additional 80 cents for ketchup! $25 for a pizza. $10 for a pitcher of soda. I spent $80 for 4 kids to skate and eat pizza and fries. I then made a single comment on their Facebook page that I thought it was nonsensical to charge for ketchup. They immediately blocked me. Unprofessional read more

They need someone there that have the maturity to take care of issues that arise. Small children have no chance on the rink with the bullish teens and grown up's reliving their teen years with no regard to how fast they're going or cutting off other skaters. I guess nothing is being done to resolve these concerns because I know other parents have complained. I guess unfortunately it will take a law suit when someone really gets injured due to no monitoring of the facility. There should be a no tolerance stance for Those who have no regard to others! read more

Yuck! Even with a coupon to go it cost a ridiculous amount for disgusting skates from the 80's. Rude staff. I had to change out my kids skate because they gave us two of the same side and he was like well what one do you need... the other one! Also they don't tell you upfront that if you want to use the skate assists for little kids it's $5 per kid. Nasty floors, nasty carpet, will not be going back. read more

It has been 20 years since I last went to Skateworld of Kettering. I will have to say this place still looks the same but definitely less maintained and worn down. The atmosphere was in poor condition and not great. There were a lot of dirty tables that needed to be wiped down.None of of the staff seemed to be maintaining nor wiping the tables down or picking up trash. The music was super loud and they played oldie and top hit music. The carpet in this was place was filthy. I was seriously concerned about the kids walking around in their socks and also falling into this carpet that looked like it had never been steamed cleaned or vacuumed. The bathrooms were in just dire need of a good cleaning and bleaching the toilets and sinks looked like no one had bothered to clean the bathrooms in over 2 decades. Parents be aware of this location. I would recommend your child to not crawl around the floors or carpets of this location. I would also recommend to not touch the sink counters if possible. This place looks like a lot of fun for the kids but definitely not clean. read more

I've been an avid Skater for the last 25 years, what I will say is if you have kids 10 and under they will most likely enjoy this experience! However if you have a family of 13 yrs old and older this is most definitely the worst Skating experience you will ever experience. I've given this rink many opportunities to prove me wrong it's clear the staff of two young girls every Wednesday night is just not enough to facilitate the 100+ customers that show up. Despite my continued attempts to reach out to management and owners it's clear they just don't care about their business...Sad really it looks like it may have been a great rink at one time. read more

This is a well maintained rink. The issues I have are as follows. There are no floor monitors. They have the skate trainers and kids who can clearly skate are on the floor playing with them, pushing them into other skaters. There are older kids who are just literally standing or sitting on the rink floor playing on their phones. Skaters of all age ranges have ZERO rink etiquette. Adults included. The rink also doesn't offer an adult night, which I find kind of insulting. There are older rinks that have an lt night they aren't very well maintained. Older skaters are responsible, educated, respectful and truly love to skate. I never have to worry about get knocked down or having to jump over a teenager just sitting there on the floor being goofy at an adult skate. I won't go back to this rink. It's not fun or safe to skate there. read more

We had high hopes for this place. No roller blades. No speed skates above size 9. Regular skates are super old and not well maintained. Below average food. Very disappointed. read more

We got a Groupon and wanted to take the kids tonight. Worst experience we have ever had. Everything was horrible. First they didn't honor the Groupon because of "teen night". We paid anyways and went in. Place smelled awful and dirty. Food was beyond garbage. Pizza looked worse than gas station food. I ordered fried mushrooms for $6 and got 5 small pieces 15 mins later. This place doesn't care about customer service or pleasing the customers. They are just there for your money. Enter at your own risk. They don't even sanitize the skate rentals, just drop a fabric sheet in them. We will never be going back!!!! read more

Skateworld of Kettering - $6 Just for the mushrooms??? - Skating Rinks Near Me - Kettering, Ohio

Family friendly, is not this place! The front counter staff was not knowledgeabl and had no clue how to ring us up. When I tried to question the price she already swipws my card. When I mentioned the online pricing, she didn't even ask for my coupon and never gave me the discount price. when I mentioned it, we were told it was a gimmick. This place is not friendly! Prices are outrageous ! The pizza is subpar, the skates or ancient dirty and stinky! The staff is not willing to help! I would not recommend this place! Parents that are required to stay with their kids shouldn't be made to pay to get in when not skating! read more

This place is a joke. It's unsanitary. The floors are never cleaned, so it's a skate hazard that will most definitely trip you up. The kids are rude af, and the staff lets them act this way on and off the skate floor. They don't have any intentions of making anything handicap accessible, I've asked on numerous occasions for a friend who is handicapped who brings their daughter there to skate. The food being advertised in pics on their walls, are not even options they have available or know anything about. They make people pay for all you can eat pizza even if you cannot eat the pizza due to dietary restrictions they don't care to meet, and are just there to skate. I've known several people to have caught covid there, myself and a friend being 2 of them. Don't waste your money here. read more

Great place for a child's birthday party. Nice, clean place with lots to do including skating, an arcade, and a soft play area. Pizza is pretty good too. Staff is very friendly and helpful. My grandson's birthday party there was fun for both the kids and the adults. Highly recommend it! read more

The kids there are just rude, unruly, BULLIES, unfriendly, utterly disrespectful and has an absolute issue with keeping their hands to themselves! While my son and nephew were there trying to enjoy themselves on Friday night 02.23.2018 keep in mind they're only 8 years old. My son came to me and informed some GIRL has been bullying them on the floor. He also has a big scratch on the side of his head that's dripping blood. He skated back out on the floor to show me who the Girl was, she looked like she was 11 years old. I then see her push him down and then made my nephew fall who was using a skate mate. In retrospect I should have called the police for assault. She somehow chipped my nephews front tooth in which he showed me on the way home once the skate rink was closed. She went to get a manager because I walked on the floor to ask her why she was pushing around my kids. I spoke with a young lady named Lauren that rest assured me she'd be banned from Skate World. A place where my child loves to go on Fridays he can no longer go to because I do not believe that girl was banned. It's just poor management and customer service all the way around. read more

Horrible place run by kids! Paid $21.99 for my kid to skate for four hours. Was supposed to have unlimited pizza and drinks however, he was only allowed one slice and couldn't have the drink at the same time. When I called to talk to a manager, she pretty much called me a liar when I told her I was never told kids could only get one slice AT A TIME and I was the one at the front who bought this and put the wristband on my son. Won't ever spend money like that again to be called a liar and not even try to rectify the situation!!! read more

Got here today to use a groupon coupon tonight and was turned away by manager because of time. Although we called ahead to get info, they still didn't honor Groupon. It's really sad that they would give out false info and not honor it when we got there! My grandson birthday was ruined. read more

Fun place for kids ... but the place could use some security outside. In 2 weeks my sons bike got stolen, and while waiting in my car for him to come out, I watched two grown men put their children in the car, close the back doors( of said car), then fire up a joint for all to see, all the while several families are leaving for their cars. read more

You can take your toddler there and they can play in the soft play for as long as they want for $3. This is life changing some days.

James is the best employee there, go give him a fist bump and a hug from me, Good day.

This place is crazy. I understand places like this hire mostly teenagers it's a good job to learn basic job skills. Be punctual work hard etc... We were here with several schools it was extremely busy every employee is a teenager mostly probably their 1st job working hard doing their best. Unfortunately they do not have years of customer service under their belt they haven't gained the skills required to handle the level of business this place is doing those things come with experience who ever owns/runs this place should be ashamed these kids can't handle running this business alone. Sitting and watching for over 2 hours not 1 Adult employee. I only pray there is never a major emergency here this place is not prepared. read more

This place was really fun. I took my kids and they had a blast. The food was great, the food staff could be a bit friendlier, but they weren't nasty. The prize guy was amazing, patient, and very kind. The skates after extremely cheap though. The stoppers were not placed right in my skates. The took seemed to be very dry as well. Reminded me of when I used to skate on blacktop. Overall, though your family will have a fun time. Oh and you may want to request more up to date songs. read more

Absolutely disgusting. It's the first words come to mind when I think of this place. It used to be a cool place for kids to hang out at but likely due to a lack of maintenance and general cleaning the carpet has become a matted sticky pad. My daughter literally walked across the floor from the bench to the skate rental desk to get her shoes back and her socks were black. I just don't understand why places like this don't want to put ANY money back into their business to keep it decent. read more

I must say the job of a yelper must be really easy, just be a cynical ass. Myself, my daughter and mother had a great time. It was perfectly safe, the food was as good as can be expected from a skating rink. Yes most of the employees were teenagers, however they were polite and many of them were working very hard. It was fairly clean and had no qualms about my daughter getting some dirt on her when she fell. An absolute wonderful experience and we'll certainly be back. read more

Every one is rude!!! Smells like ass. All the little kids were faster than me. One dude was very nice and helpful, beard and long hair.
