what a great place to take kids. I've been taking my granddaughters (10, 6, 6, 4) here for over a year. I drive further just to go here because they have been innovative. They have their own "trainers" for kids to tent that don't know how to skate. I have searched the other metro area skating rinks and have not found another that has these. the 3 youngest have been able to participate and learn how to skate using these. read more

I took my family to Fun Spot so they could try roller skating. We all had so much fun that now we go every weekend. The kids get in free with kidsskatefree.com. The staff there are all so friendly, they make you feel like family. A great place for family fun and exercise all year long. read more

It's a really fun place to go to when you're feeling bored. Some workers are kinda rude, but most are nice and funny. It's a little pricey, but not too bad. It's a very clean place. It's a good place to hang out with friends, go on dates, go just for fun. There's usually soccer moms there, they always be judging other people's kids. It's very easy to close with the workers. It's a good places to make friends also. It's kinda weird because people always be making out in the corners. If you're a mom and wanna go with kids younger than 10 you might wanna go on a weekday because on friday- sunday a bunch of older kids go and mostly talk inappropriately. read more

My third grade class took a field trip at Fun Spot Skating Center today and it was AMAZING!! First, the staff is extremely welcoming and well organized. They took care of everything once we arrived. The STEM lesson was very engaging and hands on. The instructor even spoke in Spanish to some of our bilingual kiddos. Then of course the skating was a blast! Teachers were able to skate for free so I even got to join in on the fun! Another big hit with the kids was the arcade and novelty store. Many kids left saying that this was "The best field trip ever!" 10/10 would recommend Fun Spot Skating Center to any school looking for a fun, engaging field trip! We started having birthday parties here, the last several years, then got the kidskatefree.com passes, and were able to have each child skate free twice a week, at designated times. This gave us plenty of leeway to spend freely on pizza and refreshments while skating. Before we knew it, we purchased each of the 3 kids skates at the Fun Spot. We made sure to buy them there, because it was so awesome to get free skating each week. We started lessons on April 9th, 2016, because although the 3 kids knew how to skate, we wanted to make sure we got basic techniques learned correctly. read more

Our fifth grade classes attended the Fun Spot Skating Center today for a STEM lesson/skate and it was worth the drive! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The day was very organized and well planned. As soon as we arrived the students were greeted at the door and directed to the learning lab where they were actively engaged in two STEM activities. After the lesson they were able to enjoy the skating, concession stand and video games. I recommend this place to any classroom looking for a balance of learning and fun! Fun Spot has been a family favorite in Belleville since the 1960's. Changing with the times the owners have kept the this roller skating rink up to date, clean and a safe environment to let your kids enjoy themselves and let the patents enjoy time with their kids. Like many other Belleville kids I grew up skating at Fun Spot as did my parents. I had the opportunity to speed skate and even started to figure skate. I've known the original owners of Fun Spot as well as the owners now (still in the same family for years) and there is nothing that they are more passionate about than helping families make memories and having fun doing it. Fun Spot has many different types of skating sessions to choose from and several nights available for private parties and birthdays. I myself even had a birthday there when I was a young kid. Fun Spot also offers skating lessons for beginners to even advance skaters. Their prices are very reasonable, rental skates are in good condition, and the snack bar is reasonable. A family can easily go skate for a few hours of good fun, music and exercise for less than a dinner or a movie. read more

We love Fun Spot! Our son wants his birthday party there again this year. This will be the 4th year in a row. They do a great job! I just enjoy the party guests and relax. The staff we have encountered are all very nice. The owner is super friendly and helped us with skate purchase questions. He encouraged us to get the best skate for us not the most expensive. The place is always packed with people, especially kids. They are the only rink in the STL area that participate in the kids skate free program. They have good music and an always changing fun schedule !!! The only thing I don't like are the skate mates (the pvc pipe walkers on wheels that are suppose to aid in little ones skating). read more
