I got an insulation person out and he said there was plenty of venting available for a fan. Then a large estimate came and it also said I had to get an Electrical permit. After learning how to get a permit and paying $25.01 for it I send multiple texts to Jamie and waited for a response. I finally had to email him to get a response. The last email he changed his mind! He suggested "I recommend having a mechanical company--whoever did your furnace and AC--take a look to see if they have a better solution" I thought the customer was right when asking for something I've done before that I know works. If he didn't want to do the job, he should have told me a lot sooner! No very happy with this company.

All…read moreCraft Exteriors was working on a neighbors house, so we decided to give them a call to see if they could send someone by to give us an estimate to repair the damage. Chad came by soon after and took at look at the situation, promising to get us an estimate by the next day. (He also noticed some of our gutters needed a couple of extra screws, and he just fixed that for us while he was here. Thanks!) We got the estimate as promised and were surprised that it was not as much as we feared it might be. Chad told us that it might be up to 30 days before they could know what day they could come by to do the work, but they called just a couple of days later and it was completed the following day by Jesse and Jared. They did a great job! (That included retrieving the pieces of the replacement siding we had stored in the rafters of our garage (Jenga-style). We will probably need a window replaced sometime in the next year or two and we already know who we will call. Recommend!

I recently had a window replaced on the first floor of my townhome. I was concerned about some mold…read moreand rot around the window and was hoping it didn't continue past the old window frame. The window replacement went smoothly and they assessed the situation and noted there was thankfully no other mold or rot below the old window. But they also made sure to spray some insulation of sort (if I'm remembering right) or some type of protectant to ensure nothing happened in the future. For us they transformed the exterior of our house to like new condition (actually better) with the addition of all new windows, doors, siding and gutters. The Craftsmanship, Attention to Detail, True Concern for as High Quality outcome as possible was exhibited throughout our project. Far and Beyond what I was hoping for! The crew has state of the art tools and they take true pride in the outcome of their work. Throughout the project they kept the project site (our home) very clean and organized. They were vacuuming regularly, covering furniture and protecting our furnishings, it was never a mess. The crew were truly nice fellows and very considerate, it was a true pleasure to know them and better yet have them perform their magic to our home! The craftsmanship really shows when something about the structure is out of the ordinary and a solution needs to be found to make sure a good outcome is achieved. This was the second time I had worked with Bob's Construction, the other time was about 5 years ago…read morewhen I had a new roof put on my townhouse. The first time they had to come back and do a couple of noticeable fixes on the shingles, but overall were kind, responsive, and quick to make things right. That's why I went with them a second time to roof my garage. Unfortunately the second time around may have just been the worst experience I have ever had with a business in my life. First I was told 5 to 6 weeks, which was very close to the closing of the sale of my home in 8 weeks, of which Bob's knew the timeline and the fact that it was contractually part of the sale of the home. They reassured me there would be no issues and they would get the work done before the closing. I was then called by Steve, a salesperson who worked for Bob's, who told me that if I brought 50 percent of the payment down that day, he could get the work done in 2 to 3 weeks time. His reasoning being that there was a lot of homes that they anticipated having to do storm damage repair on, that ended up not needing it, so it freed up space on their schedule. Of course I jumped at that, left work early, and brought a check to him before they closed that day. After 3 weeks of radio silence I called and was told that I wasn't on their schedule for the following week, so call back in a week. This happened twice, so by week 5, I emailed Steve again and was given the response "I will get it done by your closing". No timeframe, nothing scheduled, just that. The week before I closed on my house I had to call them again and was told they would be out on Tuesday. I cleared my driveway and garage out for them and no one showed. I called again and was told they couldn't get out until Thursday and guess what, no one showed. Then I was told they would guarantee it would be done Saturday and I even got a text from Steve around noon that said "They are just finishing up on a roof and are on their way over to do yours". I bet you can guess what happened next, nobody showed up. I tried multiple times to contact Steve, but he was up at his cabin with spotty cell service. Then randomly a van shows up on Monday to complete the work. A few other things to note that made the experience even worse: There was a wasp nest discovered in the garage and a Bob's Construction employee sprayed Raid all over both of our motorcycles and convertible. (We would have moved them all out had we known when they were going to come and do the work.) The same employee had greasy hands and left grease smears and handprints all over the fresh paint on the side of our garage. Bob's Construction was also asked to quote us on repairing any rot on the underside of the roof and were out 2 times to inspect it. They nailed new facia boards over the old rotted soffits and told us, sometimes those things are hard to see at first. We had to contact another company to fix their work and replace the soffits. I was also quoted $700 dollars more than a competitor to replace a window, when I specifically asked for the least expensive option. I did get an email from Dave Ryan, president of Bob's Construction who told me the reason there was so many delays was because of an excess of storm damage on homes they had to play catch up on, which is directly contradictory to what Steve had told me in the beginning of the process. He gave me a whole slew of excuses, that were different from everyone else's, which shouldn't surprise me that if the lies are starting at the top of the company, they find their way to the rest of it. The reason I wanted to get this out was to inform others of the poor business practices and customer service issues Bob's Construction has and hopefully prevent them from going through all the time and stress I did for subpar work.

They worked with me and my insurance company to get the job done right and on time. My home looks awesome and I have had numerous compliments from friends and neighbors. The job was started exactly when Kelly said it would be, and ended right on time too. I've used Bob's before and have had the same professional and caring experience every time. They treat me like family and treat my home as they would treat their own. The product they recommended was top quality and I hope to get years of life out of it. The install crew accidentally damaged my soffit during the process, and it was repaired the next day, no charge. I understand sometimes things happen during a project; it's how they are handled afterward that makes the difference...Kelly took care of the issue and it was painless to me. I am now posting on…read moreyelp to warn other that this company claimed that they would reroof my parents house and have a warranty/servicing if anything where to come off. We have tried contacting them multiple times about things that were off due to their poor installation. My heart is breaking for my father who no longer can get on the roof and repair it. I know that he looks at the roof everyday and is upset with the job that was done. I feel as tho my immigrant parents were cheated on this project and possibly more.
